What is the very first thing you do after your feet hit the floor in the morning?

    Put on a robe, walk to the kitchen, and drink 20 ounces of water.

    Then open the window shades everywhere but the bedroom (because the wife is still asleep).

    THEN go to the bathroom.

    I finish off the water next to me that I had for overnight as I watch the morning news for the current weather and traffic conditions - the latter being the most important. Then, the bathroom. Occasionally, the bathroom first.

    Bathroom first, then scale, then hit the button on the coffee maker, then take all my morning meds. By then that first cup of coffee is ready for consumption.

    Put on a robe. Walk to the living room to greet my wife, who has already been awake two hours. Turn on the water kettle and make tea. Make toast from homemade spelt bread. I don’t follow the news in the morning to avoid finding out what fresh horrors have been visited on the world.

    2. scale
    3. start coffee
    4. record my weight blood sugar, heart rate and blood pressure
    5. take my morning meds by which time coffee is ready
    6. check weather
    7. do the morning roll Call on MFP
    8. check my bank for any surprise charges
    9. write some notes in my daily journal
    10. the rest of the day

    Upon waking before my feet hit the floor, I recite the modeh ani prayer (thank G-d for giving me my soul back and having faith in me).

    After my feet hit the floor, I ritually wash my hands.

    Start the coffee.

    1) Change into my workout clothes.
    2) Drink Pre-workout
    3) scroll social media and message boards/offer replies.
    4) Go workout by 6am
