The NFL weekend kicks off Thursday with Broncos at Chargers and ends with Saints at Packers Monday night. There are plenty of football games in between, including Saturday NFL games, college bowl games, and the start of the CFP. What do you expect from your favorite team(s) or player(s)? What about those teams you love to hate? This thread is here for all your football talk.

    Home stretch!

I’d like to see the Pats lose three competitive games, playing with discipline and without incurring injuries. I’d also like to see the Jets lose.

Great schadenfreude moment - a headline at ESPN NFL that asked whether Wilson, Rodgers or Watson was the bigger bust. Gotta support the Browns and vote for Watson. 😉

I'm actually interested in the CFP. Notre Dame is off to a good start. SMU plays the early game on Saturday. Go Pony Express!

I felt bad for Hoosier fans, but that first CFP game went just about how I'd imagined. Penn State should be a better representative of the Big Ten. I'm bummed because I'll be out at a show and will have to miss the Ohio State game this evening.

Well, that didn't go good for SMU.

I would never have guessed that the Indiana/Notre Dame game - which never felt competitive at any point - would be the closest score of any of the first round match-ups.

FWIW, I'm not a fan of the expanded playoff format (or, for that matter, the original CFP playoff). Like practically everything about college football, it's just too much!
