We are getting closer to the holidays which can make it harder to stay on track. Remember, it's not all or nothing and while we may have a few holiday parties to attend, we can still make 1 good choice every day! So let's do a bingo card this week and see if we can do at least 1 square each day! And remember, you can always modify a square to meet your needs.

I finally made it to the gym again! I power walked for 30 minutes and it felt great! I have meal prepped for tomorrow, and I drank extra water today! 🙂 Great start to week 3!2 -
Some of these are just my standard day anyway, and others are never going to happen haha (green smoothie, blergh!), but some of these are a really good reminder to step outside my usual!1 -

I like those changes you made! I may join you with parking at the far end of the lot as I don't encounter elevators routinely.2 -
Added pink ticks for the ones I did Monday that I didn't do Sunday! I'm going to steal the idea to change a few, too - I'll never had a smoothie, I don't often encounter a stairs/elevators option, I'm comfy with my after dinner snack, and I honestly can't think of a veggie I don't already eat so I'm going to find alternatives for all of those!1 -
We had our holiday party at work, so I stuck to my plan of having 1 small plate and no seconds. I also was mindful and enjoyed every bite! 🎄2 -

What new healthy recipe did you try? Was it good?
This one, but I reduced the oil by about 3/4 - it was DELICIOUS!! The lamb was so tender and flavourful. I had it with stir fried veggies!

Hi! I’m a bit late joining this party, but here’s what I’ve done so far:
For self care I had a gift certificate that my youngest son gave me for Christmas last year to a Spa. I had never been to one before, so I tried a facial. It was a relaxing one hour with a very nice facial technician. Still deciding if it would be worth the $$ to do one again. She did say I have very nice skin for a 65 year old. Asked what I do to take care of it. I said wash with soap and water and that’s all. She actually said, “well then that might be the secret.” Shhhhhh….. 😉2 -
Just realized that I don't have anything new to check off on the bingo card today. Hoping to walk on lunch tomorrow as long as it's not raining! ☔️0

I didn't think I'd be ticking this one off, but my new one yesterday was the yellow tick!
This year I planted normal zucchini but also tromboncino squash, which I've never seen or had before, and yesterday I ate my first harvest! They're in the zucchini family, and are like zucchini when green and young, but left on the vine turn a browny colour and develop thicker skin, and become more like a butternut squash! The one I had yesterday was the latter, and it was a delicious combo of the two. Amazing roasted!
Here's a couple I harvested, along with the normal zucchini I harvested yesterday also:

Didn't post for a couple days sorry about that! It's updated, I'm making a keto shrimp cocktail tomorrow so I'll get that one.
@Alatariel75 That's the coolest squash! I grew it and only got one and picked it early, I wish the plant had survived as it died before I got a hard squash. Something I have to try again!2 -
Got a few things checked off today!

I had plans to do some of these things this week, but then I came down with bronchitis. So, while less of a reward than a necessity, all I've done is some self care.
But I was eager to try a new recipe (and still will). I was given some persimmons and I have some ripe bananas, plus I've been wanting to bake something with almond flour and/or rolled oats. So, I thought I'd make some banana persimmon nut bread. To my surprise, a Google search actually turned up a few recipes:
https://manthatlooksgood.com/persimmon-banana-bread/
I'm thinking of substituting rolled oats (and maybe almond flour) for some of the wheat flour.

Only 1 box checked off today. Made it to the gym after work!

Well, I made the persimmon banana bread. For the flour, I substituted ⅓ flour, ⅓ almond flour and ⅓ rolled oats. It didn't rise as much as I would have liked. Maybe I didn't add enough baking soda to the persimmon. But it's a good first try. I'm going to try baking some other stuff in the next few days. For Christmas family get together, I always bring dessert. This time, instead of the usual pie and ice cream, I might bake several kinds of cookies, if I haven't gotten too rusty at it.

Caught up on my bingo card now.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!
