8° here and feels like zero. DD’s Bernese mountain dog likes to stay outside and wants me to come out and play…. I like sitting by the woodstove, the only place where I can get warm.
Going to my youngest DD’s this afternoon to make Christmas cookies with my GKs. Ever vigilant we must be against cookies.
Got the piano here tuned yesterday, and the dampers evenly adjusted. Need to adjust the backchecks and the key aftertouch and it will be done, although it could use a fine tuning. They return the 24th and I head home.
Lee and Steve—great picture. WW hall of famers!
Have a great day.0 -
Good morning!
Mike, you really should be out playing with the dog. Ha! My Frankie seems to want to spend more time outside the colder that it gets. I want to get back inside and she wants to wander all around. Sigh...
I spent much of yesterday sleeping. I hope it helps. I plan to get more serious rest today. I've also been putting ice on my rib. I hope it helps.

Good Morning,
27 here when I took Pablo out for morning walk.
Only two doctor trips scheduled so far this week for DW.
Need to go get ready for church0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Went to a stage performance of A Christmas Carol, yesterday. One of grandkids' friends was playing Tiny Tim. He did great. Afterwards we wondered around downtown Olympia and checking out shops. Following that it was back to DS's house for Mexican food. When I got home, I found Rita had spent the day baking Christmas cookies. I had only two. The rest went in the freezer until Tuesday.
Hope the hunt went well.
Church this morning, then watching some Seahawks - at least until they start to stink. I have no confidence in our team.0 -
Good Morning
I too would be sitting by the wood stove sipping a warm drink. Good Luck with the cookies Mike.
We have to wait until 1/9 to receive our moving POD. Turns out their is limited service on this part of the Oregon coast, only 2 days a week. First they have mentioned it when we planned this out. Next available was the 9th. But unloading will be on the 10th which also has a premium for extra travel. So we have to extend our rental in Florence an extra week into January. But everything is set up to go. It is getting pricey with all these extras. But we are happy since our son is flying in tomorrow, not driving, thanks to some rather direct coaching from his father who repeated every sentence, "we are paying for your trip" and "are you sure your car is up to the drive". A couple Christmas gifts are lost in Amazon land but most of Christmas is ready to go for our scaled down day. Prime Rib won out for the dinner. It was only 4.87/lb if you bought enough groceries which we did. Not a busy day today.0
