Fog here this morning, but can see blue sky above and sunrise will clear us up quickly. Mild temps yesterday afternoon and today.

Church this morning and then go visiting some of the GKs to see what Santa brought...

    Good morning!

Heavy fog here too. We've had heavy fog every morning since Christmas Eve, but it is supposed to be sunnier today.

Connie and I have been married 35 years today. I don't know how she has put up with me all these years. We will be going out for a nice dinner this evening, otherwise no real celebration.

    Rest today.

    Have a great day!

Congrats on 35 years, it takes both working at marriage for it to work.

    Mornin' gents.

Preserve pheasant hunt was fun and exhausting. Traipsed over 4 miles in 2.5 hrs. Birds were running around like rabbits. The three of us harvested 15 pheasant, legal for a preserve hunt, the pheasant were stocked. Lots of meat for the freezer. Looks like a place I will likely join once I am out here full time.
Another high point was as we were leaving, we spotted a herd of pronghorn antelope. They looked like sheep grazing out about 600 yds away on the plain. My wee binocs barely gave me a decent look at the beautiful beasts, they were so far out. We were about an hour out into the eastern plains of Colorado, the last 30 miles were on non paved roads, and extremely spotty cell service.
DGS went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with DDIL and the grandmas.

Hope that rib is feeling better, Steve.
Mike, that photo makes your task look a bit daunting. I am sure you will make it good.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Kids and zoos are always fun.

    The piano workings look fascinating.

    Happy anniversary, Steve and Connie.

I turned a very heavy piece of walnut into two bowls and a big pile of shavings yesterday. Hope to repeat today, maybe with madrone. Variety is the spice of life, as they say.

    Good Morning

Ditto on Dave & Bob's weather forecast. It has been a long stretch of rainy days with another long stretch ahead.

Slept 10 hours with an hour break in the middle. I have been feeling poorly and have been very stiff and sore so sleep was in arrears. I neglected to check in yesterday when we rushed to get out the door and drive over to Florence by 9am to meet the Uhaul Box delivery with the 2 UBoxes that had the overflow from our POD. Pretty easy process. Thankfully the rain hadn't started. We laid down spare moving blankets and unloaded things into the garage and house. A lot of our kitchen stuff is there since we packed that up first for the remodel so we will be able to get the kitchen set up next week. I had a bad arthritis day and was really stiff and sore so I was thankful our son came with us. Out internet equip was waiting for us so we eventually got the internet working in the house too. We did spent an hour or so just lounging about in the living room on our new furniture. Heather was quite happy in her new chair and the alpaca throw her husband got her for Christmas for just such an occasion. We met some of our neighbors as well. It was the first day we felt more like we were living in Florence and didn't just own a house here while we transition. A late lunch and we headed back here where I found some muscle relaxant and Tylenol ER and rested and fell asleep by 7pm. Today we pack up to move out of here early tomorrow after we clean. 11 days till our POD finally arrives so we will be still renting. This part of the adventure is way over budget with the delay in selling our home, getting our POD delivered, etc. But it is finally happening and we are delighted.
