The football weekend kicks off Thursday afternoon with the rescheduled Sugar Bowl and ends with the big Vikings at Lions game Sunday night. What do you expect from your favorite team(s) or player(s)? What about those teams you love to hate? This thread is here for all your football talk.
(Full disclosure - there is one more day with the Div 2 championship game between ND State and Montana State on ESPN Monday night. For any diehard football fans who are still reading this, the game will be played here in Frisco, TX.)

Phil - I didn’t realize you lived in Frisco. My sister-in-law lived there for ten years or so, and then moved to The Colony. (What an ostentatious and now politically incorrect name for a town, and I’ll avoid the personal comparisons it inspires in me.)0

Small world Charlie. We have been in Frisco for about 20 years and have seen it grow. We like it here.
The Colony is just south of Frisco. Texas has other cities with more politically incorrect names, such as White Settlement. The Colony doesn't seem so bad.1 -
Not a huge football person. Sorta wondering about the security ramp ups that I hope are in place - or being put in place - given the recent "attack".
Hubby is a Packers fan. Brother#1 is a vikings and cheifs fan. Brother #2 just wants any team except the viking and chiefs. LOL.
Personally - lets just have the Chiefs keep winning. Its been fun seeing that. *and I don't really watch at all*0 -
The Duke's Mayo Bowl is this evening. I'm looking forward to seeing the Gophers win, but it concerns me a bit that they are favored.
Bet you didn't know that Minnesota (a) has the longest bowl winning streak in the nation with seven in a row, and (b) has won seven national championships.0 -

I’d like to see Detroit win, just because I think Dan Campbell has done a great job creating a selfless culture - but the anti-Jets part of me is enthralled with the rehabilitation of Sam Darnold as well. I keep waiting for him to crash . . . .
Meanwhile, I’m rooting for the second string of the Bills in their game against the Pats.
