I am Gwyneth, age 53, height 5'4'', SW 192, CW 187, GW 160ish. High school teacher, theater person, mom to two grownups and two cats, Mainer.
My long-term goals are to
→slim down to my happy weight (I don't much care about BMI or what I'm "supposed" to weigh)
→get stronger and more flexible through bodyweight exercise and mobility work
→be fit enough to hike Tumbledown with my son this summer
My January goals are to
→eat zero refined sugar this month (!)
→8,000 steps a day
→get my GERD under control
Thanks for allowing me to join Downsizers!
Welcome to the team, Gwyneth, we are glad you joined us on our journey. I like your goals. I always felt that the “secret” to success is to set goals for yourself and to have a plan to reach those goals. You know the old saying, “…not having a plan to succeed is akin to having a plan to fail…”. I wish you well on your plan, we can talk, if you would like, as the month goes on.
I can see you and your son hiking Tumbledown right now!

Would you rather climb a mountain that changes location every day? Or swim in a lake that turns into jelly at night?

Christmas and New Years were fun (a little too much fun!) so I'm glad to be getting back to the normal routine and making up for all the recent celebrating.3 -
Hello!
I've been dreading this weigh-in because my diet has been way off while I've been getting back into exercise, which is why I've been avoiding the scale.

Hey team I'm Scott. Sorry for the late introduction been getting my personal life in order. I love exercising its my main discipline in life. I'm in good shape but I want to size down to 180lbs and need the motivation. I exercise 3-5 days a week and consider myself sweat equity. All That really means is I have bad eating habits plus I'm an endomorph so I store fat in my stomach. I'm 36 years old. I work at 711 and am going back to school this semester. I just released a contemporary autobiography on Amazon called "Be Cool With All That Jazz" inspired by my dad who has dementia though we still have regular conversations. I was a member of fat2fit years ago when I blew up to 240lbs and am excited it's still around Looking forward to the journey and group. Once again sorry for late Weigh in. I wish everyone health, peace, and prosperity4 -

What's the most embarrassing thing to happen to you in public?
I wasn't paying attention and I went into the Men's bathroom and every guy in there was staring at me
