Good morning!
Happy new year! We spent the evening at a friend's house and we had a nice time. Yesterday was another lazy day! I likey. Got a lot of cleaning and organizing done over the break. Feel like it was relaxing and productive.
Thanks for getting the new monthly thread started, @KateNkognito!
Back at work today. I am remote. Didn't think it was worth going in for one day. LOL (Fridays are always remote for me). For tomorrow, BF has a MD appointment in the AM and I have one in the PM. Fun, fun, fun getting older. LOL
Will be doing a reset since I kind of fell of the wagon over the holidays. January is a crazy month but I will make the best of it!
Have a good day and I will see you soon.0 -
Happy New Year. I have done 5:2 in the past and found it very hard. This time around it seems easier but I think it is because I am over on calories - haha.
Trying to get back to doing it strictly as I have had good success in the past and I like not having to think about dieting everyday.2 -
Welcome, @angela233Z! It really is all about mindset. I am sure that you will be successful!
@Meghan509 Have fun with all those appointments! I did a long fast on Monday as a reset. I felt so much better after, but then I have been terrible this week.
The commute this morning was the best... like ever! I either need to buy a lottery ticket or it was a fakeout and I am headed into an awful day! LOL We ARE looking at a bad weather weekend. I am headed to the store later to stock up on things that can be made without electricity and I am taking home my laptop in case they call for a work from home day for Monday.
Have a great weekend! Stay healthy and safe!0 -
Good morning!
Welcome @angela233Z! We are glad you found this little corner of the internet! Wishing you great success! I am going to do a reset once we do some grocery shopping this weekend. Will stick with a 16/8 fast for now with an eating window from 12:30pm to 8:30pm give or take, less carbs, and getting around 1300-1400 calories per day.
@KateNkognito Yes, I heard about that big storm that is coming through the mid west! I have a new guy who is in the process of relocating from Wichita, KS to where we are in Connecticut. He was planning to fly from KS to CT on Sunday but moved it to Saturday so he doesn't have to deal with the storm. Good luck and stay safe!!
LOL on the commute! Did I mention that the new Honda CR-V that we leased is a Hybrid? It has been getting around 30-40mpg for gas mileage! Will be nice for when I am stuck on the highway at 10mph. I will put on the Econ feature and hope for the best!
Hope everybody has a nice and safe weekend. We don't have much of anything planned, aside from taking down our little artificial Christmas tree and taking the holiday lights we have outside down as well.
See you soon!0 -
Good morning!
Busy, busy, busy day here. Sigh... The good news is the day will go quick, for sure.
It is snowing here or shall I say flurrying here but only a little dusting on the grass as far as I can see.
Hope you are not getting pummeled too bad @KateNkognito! My colleague was grateful he got out out of KS on Saturday AM because they were already shutting down flights for later that day.
Hope all is well. Have a good day and see you soon.0 -
Because of the storm, I was off work yesterday and I am remote today. It is actually pretty nice to not have to commute farther than across the house, but my family is pretty loud.
@Meghan509 Your new car sounds nice! Glad your new coworker made it out. It was not too bad here Saturday until late (I am not too far from Wichita), it got nasty overnight, though.
I got on the scale this morning and my lack of fidelity to tracking and fasting has become evident. I am up a couple of pounds. I am back on track today.
Have a good week!0 -
Today is being a Monday! I have a migraine, my computer isn't working (while I am remote again), and I keep dropping things. At least tomorrow is a legal holiday and I get the day off. One more day and then we can start fresh on Monday, right?
Fasting wise, I did all the good things yesterday and, MAGICALLY, the scale moved down. Amazing how that works, huh? LOL
I hope y'all are having a good day! Stay healthy!0 -
Good morning!
Sorry I was not able to check in yesterday! Yesterday was non stop busy from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. Sigh... Got all the things I was supposed to do finished. Now picking up what was neglected yesterday. UGH.
Thanks! The good news is yesterday when I checked, the new SUV had gotten close to 40 MPG on my commute! And sadly, that is pretty much DOUBLE what my old SUV was getting. I am glad I made the switch. Working out nicely.
Ahh, so what you are saying as far as a federal holiday tomorrow means I won't have any traffic @KateNkognito! LOL I hope you enjoy the day and today is not too crazy.
Have not been able to track food and drink as much water as I want to. Just too crazy. Need to take it one day at a time. Looking forward to when I can fully commit to a reset.
I am off to do more things and book some travel and blah blah blah. LOL Hope you have a great day!0 -
Because of weather and the legal holiday, my office has been remote/closed ALL week. I am so bored today. I have nothing left to do. Making a grocery list, quilting, and watching my electronic queue to see if anything shows up.
@Meghan509 So glad you are liking the new SUV! My old one was in the low 20s for MPG and the new one hovers around 33. I hope the last couple of days have slowed down for you!
Off to do nothing. I don't do well when I am bored. Maybe I will do an indoor walk at lunch...0 -
Happy Friday!
Too funny @KateNkognito I noticed the traffic was definitely lighter on the way in to work yesterday AM! Glad you get a little down time, even if unexpected.
Ooh nice! That is good gas mileage too! I am so liking my new ride. It has been a lot of fun.
So yesterday was a crazy day at work and today I am remote but was in tears today by 9:00am. I am just so tired and so frustrated and feeling so overwhelmed and am tired of babysitting people.
Sorry to be such a downer today. The good news it is Friday and I have Saturday and Sunday where I can unplug and unwind.
Going to be eating lunch shortly and we are having Chinese Food for dinner. Going to be a relaxing weekend too. No plans other than BJ's and Aldi's on Saturday.
Less cold here too, which is nice. Especially when I logged in today to view our electric and gas bills and it comes to over $400 for both for the month of December. UGH.
I hope you have a good weekend. See you soon.0
