Looks like we have a buyer for CT house. My practice manager, her husband and 7 year old daughter, love the place and we can avoid the cost of a realtor, thus making the purchase price 6% less than fair market value. It is almost too good to be true, because it is a perfect property for them, and less stress for us. So M is going to help them crunch the numbers and secure loans. They have lots of low rate opportunities as first time home buyers and my practice manager is technically a single mom (she and her husband are not officially married).
Steph, flying down and renting a car sounds like a very practical plan for CR. Are you going to do a zip line through the canopy?
Cold but no snow in CT. Sounds like deep freeze in midwest is moving west and not east, thank goodness.
How long do they anticipate Joanne feeling crappy? Chemo sucks, because for it to work, it classically causes significant discomfort. You can explain this to a human, hard to explain to a cat or a dog why they have to feel miserable to become cancer free.

congrats on the house sale Lee. DS has had his house sale, fall thru, 2 times now. Accepted offer, then, the people can't get a loan. They SAID that they were preapproved, but obviously, not. So, he's holding onto two mortgages now.
We got to puppy sit over night for the grandddog, Clover, she's really cute and very active, We will return her up north this afternoon.
I'm returning to the eye dr for the 2nd time today. They didnt' give me the right prescription for my contacts and I'm MORE than irked.
It;s COLD HERE... REALLY COLD..

We made it to our new airbnb. We are on the outskirts of Monteverde. We don't plan to zip. We did it once in New Hampshire and here would be a good place.
Today we are touring a coffee roaster co- op. Then need to find a grocery store. The little market we walked to last night was OK for one day but need more options.0 -

Hope all is going as expected for Joanne. A tough process to go through, indeed.
Also hope the home sale goes well, Lee. We have been in this house for 23 years, with no plans to ever move, but on our previous house we had an accepted offer, and they changed their minds. When we asked their realtor to hand over the earnest money he was supposed to be holding he was aghast. We insisted. That's what earnest money is for, right? I think he ended up paying the $2,000 out of his own pocket. He worked for the same agency as our realtor, and I think the two of them thought they could slip through. Avoiding realtors if possible is a good thing.
Banking and a haircut, this morning, woodturning club meeting tonight.

- Started the day with my Emmaus group which I enjoy but too many early days in a row.
- I can't believe how the Rams dominated the Vikings last night. Matthew Stafford is one of the good guys.
- All of the home teams won this week, except Tampa Bay, which Skip is happy about.
- I got my geography lesson of the week thanks to Steph. I had to look up Monteverde.
- Sounds like a great deal Lee if you can work out the timing.
- Smiling about Dave's woodturning club meeting. Aren't hobbies great. Reminds me of my DFIL.

Our mortgage lender gave us a signed document from them, indicating we were preapproved for a mortgage on that address based on their asking price.
We gave that to seller with our offer. We didn't not put a loan amount on that letter, we were pre approved for double of what their asking price was. The seller doesn't need to know that. NOTB. Just saying.
As the seller, get the actual bank approval letter....
