I'm down 1.2 pounds this week. Finally, the scale is starting to move in the right direction. I've suggested before that the scale seems to lag by a couple of weeks for me, at least at first when I (re-)decide to stick with my personal plan more carefully!

Everything else is mostly on-track. Running regularly (though on the treadmill because it's been so snowy and icy here), limiting alcohol, limiting extra-snacks, etc.

Down 1.2 lbs. I'm up about 1.2 lbs for the year but in between the first of the year and now I've fluctuated as much as 6-7 lbs. In really trying to concentrate on staying away from the bad carbs. It's just a matter staying focused

Still not weighing myself. Waist is up 1/2" Not a good sign.
We had some water damage, I packed the scale away. Probably a good thing for now.

I'm down 1.4. That's a pleasant surprise given that I don't feel like I tried hard this week. Meals and eating were a bit all over the place. However, I'm finally starting to feel rested and plan to get some meal prep done this weekend.

It was a tough Q4 at the scale, mostly because it was a quarter of intermittent poor choices that triggered other poor choices. I’ve weighed in “free” each month, but it’s been a challenge. I’ve gotten my behavior back under control, but I’m left with this issue:

The 5+ pounds I have gained does NOT appear to be a blip that will resolve itself; it’s an actual weight gain and needs to be treated as such.

So, although I’ve been slowly trickling down the scale for a few weeks, this week I took the step of reducing my maintenance points. I’ve been using thirty - seven more than weight loss mode. I elected not to go to weight loss mode, but rather adjusted my dailies down to twenty-seven. I think that will help make a difference by itself, but also, the change will make me more conscious about my points at a time when I legitimately need to be conscious of my points - and my consumption.

Early indications are positive - but early. My studio weigh-in from Thursday to Thursday was down 2.6#, and my Thursday morning “at home” weigh- in was down 2.8#. I’ve got another 1.4# to go in order to weigh in “free” for January, and I’ve got two studio weigh-ins to do that. I want the “free”, but mostly I want to keep my behavior under control.
