Congrats to everyone on the losses! Fantastic numbers!

@Katmary71 – Disney’s copyrights expire after 95 years, so all those old movies are public domain (or almost about to be public domain) so horror versions have been made of Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh (2 actually) and Bambi. A horror with Steamboat Willie is in the works and David Howard Thornton, who plays Art the Clown in the Terrifier movies, is going to play Steamboat Willie. Can’t wait! Oh I think a horror version of Snow White is in the works, too 😊 I’m sorry about the newspaper photo. That sucks.

@TeresaW2024 – I love all things horror, so I am all about horrifying Disney! Poor Maggie Mae. I’m so sorry. So your niece and her children are staying with you until she can get the A-hole evicted from her home, then she and the kids will move back there? Just trying to process it in my brain. Sorry. Praying for everyone. I wish I could give you a real in-person hug. You are doing fantastic with the weight loss under these stressful situations.

@trooworld – Awesome loss so far! I’m gonna add my favorite lentil soup recipe below, in case you want to try it.

@morenin – Shoveling snow IS exercise! That neighbor… what an *kitten*.

@jellytree – I’m so sorry I just assumed you were in the U.S. or Canada. What country are you in? I have friends from all over, so I can definitely get some good recommendations for you. Another horror lover! Yay! When you say terrible monster movies, do you mean like B-rated bad effect monsters? Cuz those are super fun, too! I own over 2,000 movies so we can totally talk horror! For organizing books, I keep mine organized by author first. Then genre, if there’s not a lot by the same author.

@micaroo4 – Why do bosses do that kind of thing? Back in the day, when I was a sales manager for a Marriott, I had to share the office with the general manager. She was just hired and we were getting used to sharing space. She decided that she was going to quit smoking at the same time of starting this new job. She was so bitchy. I had to tell her to “suck a mint” so many times. I had been working there 8 years, but she was my motivation to leave.

@AnAbsoluteDiva – Sounds like a mess! Glad you can get back into your groove!

I have been eating way too much. Gained again. Damn Birthday cake that Hunter surprised me with. She and I were messaging yesterday and I told her that just about all of the processed foods have been consumed in my house and I am ready to get on track. She said her husband watched a documentary and wants to get on board, too. So all 3 of us are committing to non-processed foods. While we were texting, I heard their car pull into my driveway. They surprised me with some fresh produce…including the most beautiful pineapple 😊 I shared some of my soup with them. Feeling positive 😊 Thought I’d share my soup recipe with all of you. Dijon is the secret ingredient, so please don’t omit it!

    Tangy Lentil Soup
    1 T Olive Oil
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 stalks celery, diced
    2 carrots, diced
    3 T tomato paste
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    6 cups water
    2 T McKay’s chicken bouillon
    1 ½ cups dried lentils
    2 bay leaves
    1 T dried parsley
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    2 T Dijon mustard
    Preparation
On medium heat, sauté the diced onion, celery, and carrots in olive oil for 10 minutes. Add the tomato paste and minced garlic; sauté 1 minute. Add water, lentils, bay leaves, parsley, salt and pepper; bring mixture to a boil. Partially cover, reduce heat, and simmer mixture for 30 minutes, or until lentils and veggies are tender. Turn off the heat, discard the bay leaves and stir in Dijon mustard.

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: You have the chance to spend the evening any way you want. A night out with friends. A movie. A class. A book. A romantic dinner. Visiting someone special. How would you spend the evening?
That would be what I did all day yesterday – spent it alternating from my craft room to my living room. First I’d make cards, then I’d relax with a movie. Watched Bodies Bodies Bodies because Sydney wanted me to see it. It was pretty funny…especially the ending (available on Tubi). Made some more cards and then my Tangy Lentil Soup. Then watched Revenge, which is a French/English gorefest. Extremely bloody. But it was ok (available on AMC+). Then a little more crafting before going to bed way too late as usual (2am).

What’s one small habit that could greatly impact your health journey?
That’s an easy one…STOP SNACKING AT NIGHT! (Although now that I think about it, it's really NOT a small habit.)

    Hi 👋

My hubby went to Costco about a week ago and brought home these "Super Greens" I've been sort of sipping on them throughout the day. Yesterday, though, I was feeling tired about half through the day. So, I mixed one up and just drank it down. Boy, oh boy, lol... I all of a sudden had so much energy. I just started moving around and getting stuff done that I keep putting off. I'm going to try that again today, this afternoon, when I get that mid-day lull.

Lol... they taste good to 😀

Without a doubt moving first thing in the morning, every morning, in pajamas, before coffee or doggie care or anything else: 20 squats, 20 pushups, 20 sit-ups, 20 jumping jacks. Gets the blood flowing and I have no aches and pains to speak of throughout the day.

Yay I got Christmas put away today. Now I just need to vacuum the living room and the stairs going down to the garage. I put some bedding in a bag to be donated. I bought new sheets, love them so soft and comfortable. I got three sets of the same sheets. Windy here but they did not shut off our power this time.

@FushiaKat Woohoo glad you got the Christmas stuff put away! Smart to buy a few sets of the sheets you love. I'm having an issue with Jasper and sheets, he likes biting them and shaking his head back and forth and ripping them (thought it was my washing machine at first and was close to returning it). I'm trying to keep the bed made all the time but he's gotten to them at night so I'll probably just get cheaper ones for the next decade.

@vegan4lyfe2012 That's great Hunter and her husband may be on track with you two. The lentil soup recipe sounds delicious! I'm with you on the late nigt snacking being my biggest problem.

@DrewsAnna Wow that's great you're having a lot of energy with the supergreens! I haven't tried those I'll have to look for them.

@AnAbsoluteDiva what a beautiful room! It was worth some annoyance it's gorgeous (I get it though that does stink).

Go MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES in 1st place last week, woohoo! Awesome job top winners @trooworld and @TeresaW2024 !

@trooworld Reading in the park sounds like heaven aside of the cold! Yes you have to visit so we can read together, haha. Great job on cleaning up the shelves sounds like you got a lot done.

@AnAbsoluteDiva Oh no I'm sorry to hear about the pistachio reaction that stinks. I hope you can talk to a specialist soon and get to the bottom of things. Maybe if you can get your system in better shape you'll be able to add it back one day. I'm lactose intolerant but it's not as bad these days as I eat a lot less inflammatory plus learned not to drink milk.

@bobboyardee Great job on the work you've done!

@micaroo4 Yikes stay warm! It sounds like you've figured out how to work with the colitis, I'm glad you've figured it out.

@Cornanda That is real interesting about pistachios I didn't realize they were a drupe.

@TeresaW2024 Hugs to you I hope the courts get things moving too, thinking of you all.

WHAT'S ONE SMALL HABIT THAT COULD GREATLY IMPACT YOUR HEALTH JOURNEY? That needs work is being stronger about night snacking, grrr! I got into some gingerbread cookies last night and demolished them, gotta break the wanting sweets after dinner. I'm sorry @TeresaW2024 I'm being a bad no-sugar partner!

Hi team think I got to everyone. First some good news @littlebabekitty is returning to the team, she'll be back any time now.

I got up and worked out then was super cold (CRPS thing) so I ended up back in bed trying to warm up for a few hours. I managed to at least get the tooth extraction covered and my appointment is a few weeks away, the cap with tooth and post isn't going in well now so that part will be a challenge. Got some work done and did some garden clean-up. Fell off the wagon last night but am doing better today, it's been a challenging week. Have a great Wednesday everyone.

@Cornanda – Wow I never thought to check to see if a pistachio was truly a nut. That was some really helpful information - Thank you.

@micaroo4 - At least I know I am not alone. I just hope it similar to your experience in that I won’t have to give up certain stuff forever. Oh my! That is so cold! How often do you see temps like that?

@trooworld – I’ll bet that was really satisfying to declutter. We have a large shelving unit in our laundry room that has gotten out of hand and I get overwhelmed just looking at it. I like the idea of using baskets to organize.

@TeresaW2024 – congrats on the loss! The specialist came highly recommended by a coworker who had similar experiences (turned out she has a gluten sensitivity). It gives me hope that she can figure out what is going on with me as well.

What’s one small habit that could greatly impact your health journey?

It may sound weird but avoiding cookies. If I eat one I’m going to eat more – a lot more. I cannot just eat one as an occasional treat. One today is a whole package/pan tomorrow and it sets off a chain reaction which derails everything over and over, several times a year. They are the one sweet treat I truly enjoy but I have no chill whatsoever. It's like the cookie monster from Sesame Street, if cookie monster was a 40+ year old lady that is. I can seriously eat my entire calorie goal + in cookies for a day and not be satisfied and want more the next day.
