I'm down 1.6 pounds. I am hoping that this represents the results of my efforts finally beginning to show up on the scale. I had (another) strong week in terms of following my plan, and I'm getting my runs in very consistently, so I'm feeling good about the process at least.

Just a few more pounds and I think my black suit will fit me perfectly for my daughter's wedding at the end of March. I know we generally strive to avoid goals, and focus on process instead (and goals will follow), but once-in-a-while maybe it's ok to have a time-based goal as a kick in the rear to get you going? ;-)

Also gearing up for some travel to meet the new son-in-law-to-be. Should be fun.

Down 1.6 is the magic number today. This is my first loss after a long string of gains, so I'm happy.

Down 3.1 from two weeks ago ( Didn’t weigh last Friday) New goal: reduce fasting glucose and A1C levels, which will primarily focused on weight loss and diet quality

    Whhooooosshhh!

My one change was two weeks ago I lowered my daily points from 30 to 27 - not to weight loss, but not all I’d been using. It didn’t do anything for me last week, because I was up. This week it all kicked in. My daily weigh-in Thursday AM was in the Green Zone, and my Studio result Thursday night was in the Yellow Zone.

    Onward and downward!

Well . . . my scales didn't work earlier this week, and changing the battery didn't solve the problem. It's possible the battery was old, so I'll try again before buying new scales.

But . . . dead battery is a great metaphor for my current mood. Winter is frequently tough for me mentally, and the past few weeks have been rough. I'm looking forward to some sunny days.

I had a bad week in terms of eating. I ate 5984 calories worth of homemade shortbread over the course of five days. It was delicious, and I enjoyed every bite. But . . . yeesh.

I'll report back once I have the scale situation resolved. One bad week isn't going to throw me off of my goals.

Scales are fixed with a "new" new battery.

I'm up 1.8. seems about right given the shortbread quantity.

Yup, that'll leave a bruise. Sounds like it may have been offset by some other good choices, though?

@crewahl, I wish that was the case, Charlie. There was also a cake that I ate more of than I had planned. During the holidays, I was proactive about getting things out of my house once made/not bringing in leftovers. The cake should have been left behind. The cookies were a sample batch (two actually) that should have immediately gone in the freezer. I'm aware that I have some binge tendencies that I need to take a better look at.

Cookies in the freezer isn't a determent for my sweet tooth, I'll eat them frozen and let them melt in my mouth.;)

One Christmas when I was a kid, my mother started putting her homemade peanut butter fudge in the freezer so we kids didn't just gobble it up. Turns out we liked it even better frozen.

Weighed in first time since mid november. Up 1#. I'll take it. That's a GOOD number.
Goal would be to lose 3 or 4# --- the last ones are always hard.
Trying to go for it from Now until March 4th. Reveal all the Hard work I was doing the past year by being up a few #.
