Finding Balance: A Support Group for Emotional Eaters

I have come a long way in 316 days since moving into my first apartment. I've lost roughly 55 pounds by forming healthy habits and being consistent. I've failed multiple times within these 316 days, but the difference this time was my mentality. I wasn't looking at this as a sprint but as a marathon, as my own journey in life. I've made this change with as much self-awareness as possible. I've realized a pattern in my life: whenever I'm anxious or my depression kicks in, rather than seeking help from my family, friends, or professionals, I've bonded with food. I'm very grateful that food actually served me well to get through those terrible times, but my decision to rely solely on food as a source of happiness didn't help my body maintain a healthy standard. Lately, I've felt like I'm losing some momentum in my journey, and I've realized that I need to help people who are struggling with emotional eating disorders, just as I'm working to address my own emotional eating problem. I'd like to offer a group that meets weekly on Saturdays or Sundays for 30 minutes each week to talk about how we feel, keep each other accountable, support each other in serving our bodies and community for good, and celebrate our wins together. Can you accompany me on this journey?

I had a successful week cutting out most refined sugar this week! and ate no fast food. I had a few potato chips and more than a few fritos and still saw success! The week before I had way to much chocolate and cookies...... anywho.... self care is pretty good not great but good enough ..... ate lots of red meat, veggies, grains and fats this week. Cooked most of our meals and prepped many ingredients ahead of time. Took time to journal, see others, read, pray and do basic hygiene. I am anticipating spring!
