yakkystuff a big big thank you for the kind words and answering my question with all the information and I agree keto and carnivore diet will never be for me lol
I myself this doing the regular lifestyle in trying to lose weight ,a few friends/coworkers of mine who did keto.omad and a few other diet trends and will say some suffer the keto flu but all gain some .all or more of the weight back as for me I this want to do an over all re invent myself in a few areas and one is losing the weight with out diets trend .I myself do not have to much knowledge on the carnivore diet except the few youtube videos and I do not think in the long one flipping back and forth from one diet to another is very good for the body and the mind.
I wish in Canada I had access to some of the low carb products but I work with what I have and have also decided to do the same regarding the 25-30 grams of protein per meal so each night I will pre-planned my meals for the next day I am actually am a creature of habit I can eat the same thing coming here we can share ideas on our meals and with other as I see so many tasty dishes I see .All that being said I will say have a good night and thanks for the information 😊

The thing about keto is, unless you measure yourself and you are actually in ketosis, it's just unnecessary stress added to eating. You still need a calorie deficit. I could easily go low carb as I'm a diabetic and generally I do stay between 50 to 150. but keeping myself in ketosis, I don't think I can.
I had pictures of yesterday. Thought I uploaded them to discord but apparently not. I deleted them off my phone so just words today.
I had the chicken, cheese, rice and cauliflower over a bed of lettuce surrounded by evenly cut cucumbers. (i bought a slicer… it's better than bread)
halo cookies and cream ice cream. thankfully this stuff only comes in pints and nearly $5 a pint cause it was GooooooD.
and not surprisingly, the stove top zucchini 'lasagna'… basically turkey and zuccini with a little pasta sauce, ricotta and pepper jack cheese. On top of lettuce and surrounded by evenly sliced cucumbers. (i promise I won't keep this up forever)
and 1 great value string cheese
18 grams of fiber in the ice cream. insane but lovely
today.
I'm exchanging the ice cream for a little debbie oatmeal cream pie and second mozzarella stick
see.. insane ice cream difference in the fiber >.<
Anyway. hopefully will be back to pretty pictures tomorrow. And it will be time to cook something new soon. I know you are tired of the repetitive pictures.

Not tired... appreciate the pics the group and all the efforts you are putting in the group.
Dinner 1 1/2 salmon burgers with a slice of pepperjack cheese, mash tates and vegs. (531 cal)

My meals
B English muffin with egg and cheese slice and few grapes
L I been finding myself wanting food I have not eaten over 30 + years as
L 2 rice cakes with 1/2 small banana and peanut butter
D super green pasta with broccoli ,garlic, parm cheese{1/4}in the entire meal which is 4-5 servings and chick peas 😊
1 -
Leftover salmon burger sandwich for lunch (594 cals).
Used handful bagged salad, pepperoncini & mustard for snap, a slice cheddar cheese. Green bean mixed veg medley on side.
Truth is my idea/eyeballs/tummy want more than served and pre-meal felt like this would not be enough.
Turns out I probably would have been as satisfied with this as a 1/2 sandwich with 1 piece of bread instead of 2... closer to a standard hamburger bun (if i had used a regular size bun, not oversized.) There was a lot of bread overhang beyond the round 4 oz salmon patty.
1 -
Leftover fridge cleanout, 1/2 salmon burger patty, cup of spaghetti sauce meat medley (approx 1 oz ea ground turkey, diced ham, diced large shrimp bites), cup green beans and mixed vegs with remaining liquid, Tbsp craisins, 1/3c shred tex-mex cheese blend. Warmed, turned into a nice soup. Had a tangerine after the soup (472 cals).
1 -
B was an egg Mcmuffin with yogurt/raspberry and strawberries
L 2 c of spinach chicken taco salad with peppers and tomato sprinkle of cheese
D 2 chicken strip or 1 1/2 had helpers lol /quinoa/
snack lemon poppy seed and tim's coffee …hubby came home with this treat for me 😍

sunrise0213 I am sorry I just noticed you asked me a question and I am using Vega for protein and organika for collagen I will add there are some days I do forget so never daily thing but I try😊

I have pictures again! This was a cooking day. I will admit I hate cooking. It might look like I hate chewing but making things in one pot sure makes it a easier just to grab and throw it on top of lettuce.
so… Tuna 'casserole'… I didn't bake it this time. I just dumped everything in the pot I boiled the pasta in.
- 8 cans of 5 oz tuna in water
- 1 can of corn
- 1 can of peas
- 1 can of carrots
- 2 cans of
- Condensed, Cream of Mushroom soup
- 8 servings of shredded cheese
- 1 box of wheat or protein pasta (wheat is pictured)
After dumping the water from the pasta I didn't drain anything. This seemed to be enough moisture to even out the soup without it being soupy.
Scrambled Bacon Turkey Burger
I'm not sure you can call it a 'casserole' if you don't bake it in the oven. This was supposed inspired by a big mac but turkey has less calories than cow so it doesn't have the same effect but it is yummy.
this recipe just keeps getting edited…. i have to get it together. I wasn't planning on onions. but I have onions. Then it was cheaper to get 3lbs of turkey instead of 1.25lbs of turkey so I had to up the turkey from 5 to 6… but i am rambling.
- 1 large onion
- 9 servings of bacon bits
- 4 large eggs
- 5 servings of shredded cheese
- 24 oz ground turkey
- 20g of minced garlic
- Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend, Salt Free
It sits on a bed of romaine lettuce and is surrounded by hamburger pickles. I love hamburger pickles. I would have had the entire jar if i didn't have 3 more meals of this to eat. The original recipe called for thousand island dressing. Not sure if they meant to put it in when it was cooked but I added it after. I used Walden Farms 0 calorie Thousand Island dressing…. I so love Walden farms.
I will likely round off the evening with a bit of string cheese and maybe 5 ritz crackers.

I had been doing this with separate ingredients, so decided to try this (13 one-cup servs inside big bag/split in 4 smaller bags inside large bag).
It is pre-sauced with Asian flavors, my own blend is not, so price is the push for me. Depends on catching sales.
My breakfast this morning, 1c of the cauli-riced blend (before cooking), 1 egg, 3 shrimp, shred cheese, a little leftover takeout fried diced chicken. With 2 tangerines and 1/2 scoop chocolate whey protein powder in xl coffee (my chocolate compromise; emotionally acceptable.)
Macros: 520 cals, 31g carbs, 22g fat, 44g protein, 1437mg sodium, 6g fiber.
I continue to blow past my sodium targets. The sodium in the cauli-rice was only 290mg because of the pre-sauced ingredient.

loved this super simple recipe I made tonight. You mix the spices & olive oil to make a marinade then add your zucchini, chicken (I used Ouorn meatless cutlets) & onion. Bake on 425 for 30 minutes!
I used to tell myself..I’m a busy mom, I don’t have the time to make a nice (non Campbell soup base) dinner. I’m learning that was an excuse. This was simple. I did make jasmine butter rice, but I ate very little of that.0 -
Yum! How easy is that? And versatile!

so simple! I’d been making the same 12 dinners on repeat for 5 yrs. I thought I was just a bad cook, but I just hadn’t explored many recipes outside of what I ate growing up. Proud of myself, my first marinade & it was so easy, low calorie & delicious

Here's to exploring! Had an auntie yell at me when I veered off a recipe. It was decades later when I started to explore new to me things. Slow go but worth it. Ever so often I take a few extra minutes at the grocery just to browse new things.

Yum, will repeat, especially in hot weather.
Yogurt (fat free, no added sugars.) Adding frozen fruit made it instant semi-frozen overall.
Add-ins:
- 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder,
- cinnamon,
- 1/2c frozen blueberries,
- T craisins,
- 1/2 snack pack cashews (about 24g, salted.)
Macros:
- 489 cals
- 39g carbs
- 13g fat
- 56g protein
- 346mg sodium
- 3g fiber.

When I lived with my mother I would take a big bowl, dump an entire package of riced cauliflower, add salsa, chicken broth and shredded cheese to it. Then I would vary the 'protein'. Chicken, salmon, turkey or potstickers and split it into two or three meals for the day. Just after a few weeks of 'cooking' I had devolved into this formula. It was good though. Especially with the marinated salmon. I haven't made it in quite a while.
breakfast was crackers and string cheese. I didn't count the number of crackers since I am eating so far under my goal calories and I'm not going out to eat this week. I've eaten the same thing as yesterday for lunch and dinner. I've got new pictures but i'm not going to repost the numbers
the tuna casserole. just not a fuzzy as the first picture. I definitely like going with individual canned corn, peas and carrots than having the frozen vegetable mix. I'm not a huge fan of green beans.
Scrambled turkey burger - This is definitely not something you can tell what it is just by looking at it. I used to make scrambled cheese burger but not as complex. I thought I had an imagination when I browned the hamburger and added cheese… no spices. no onion and definitely wouldn't have thought to put an egg in it. This picture has the 0 calorie salad dressing. i am definitely not thinking of the chemistry needed to make a zero calorie salad dressing.
Cudos to crystal for branching out. We are both growing up sniffles

Soup with the bone broth, torn rotisserie chicken, quinoa, mix veg and green beans. Quick.

Today was tuna casserole and zucchini pizza. I'm including a picture of the pizza cause even though you can't tell I made it with a veggie slicer! It worked so well 😍
2 -
Now I want pizza, dang! That really does look great!
Thinking green soup for lunch tomorrow for St Pattys day. And the green dinner idea from Meachem for dinner.

Yakky- that soup looks soooo good! I don’t eat much meat but I love soups!
Totameafox: does the zucchini get mushy on the pizza? Regardless it looks delicious. My husband & son could eat pizza everyday but it’s sooo many empty calories. I need to try that pizza & see if they like it.

The original recipe slices the zucchini into circles and makes mini pizzas out of them. I don't have that kind of patience. So I sliced mine long ways and placed it on a pan. You back the zucchini for 10 minutes (i season it first). Then take it out and add the pasta, cheese and pepperoni. Yes the zucchini is 'mushy' you won't be able to eat it like a regular slice of pizza. I just keep it on the pan and eat it with a knife and fork. In the last image I didn't put it on a cookie sheet. but you can pick a cookie sheet up and put it on a plate.
I am not sure about small circular slices if you cook them for less time. but if you want crunchier Zucchini you can always skip the precook. I will try that next time and see how it turns out.

Today was Halo Top Chocolate Caramel Brownie Light Ice cream. 360 calories 6g protein
dinner will be tuna casserole and I can have two sticks of string cheese. The totals for the day should be
I'll be compensating for yesterday through Saturday. Daily average for the week should be 1250.

No pics today. I had planned to eat my final tuna casserole and cooking stuffed peppers but I went to elder sit. I decided that i could have 2 oatmeal cream pies and the tuna casserole and figure out the rest of the calories. but my well meaning family sent left overs. So lunch was shrimp, hushpuppies and french fries in tauter sauce. I have no idea the calories. We then went to the store to get a power strip. I decided to have a treat cause you know… 2 oatmeal pies and uncertain calories definitely need more. But I managed to talk myself down to a normal cookies and cream candy bar. I did pick up the king size… and the country size bars but I put them back. The end of the day was a stack of cucumber slices.
I am rocking this week 🤡

Egg scramble for breakfast, chicken soup for lunch & dinner, sourdough and butter with all of it and a jacket outdoors. Can't wait to ditch the jackets.

The last of the tuna casserole which I discovered yesterday when I cooked the stuffed peppers. It was a lovely breakfast.
1 bite of a garlic bread stick
1 andies chocolate
1 spicy shrimp
2 stuffed peppers, lettuce and the left over bell pepper. Normally I would bake the stuffed peppers but today I microwaved them. It make the peppers a little sweeter. Dinner was really good.0 -
@totameafox - do you eat separately or together?
We tend to eat separately a lot. There are things I really like, that hubby refuses to taste. I would like to do some quinoa stuffed peppers, not quite sure beyond that for filling. Do you pre-blanche your peppers or only use a fully cooked filling?
I recently bought some PB2 Pure (dehydrated peanut butter powder) that i have stirred into yogurt with some chocoloate protein powder, couple dashes cinnamon, stirred, then I add 1/2c frozen blueberries which quick freezes the yogurt with a little melty type spots. Hits like a frozen icecream and makes my tongue happy dance, lol
This was one before i started adding the PB2 powder and had some cashews in it (500+ cals breakfast, so this was main part of breakfast.)

The bf and I eat separately. He doesn't like hot food. He also thinks I eat too much food. So if he ate what I ate, he might not get enough calories for the day.
Today was stuffed peppers again. Both meals. It's not super important to me to have different meals each day and I chose the lazy way out.
I was going to give pictures today but my phone and discord aren't cooperating.
These stuffed peppers are sooooo good. I hope all of you are eating well!

Ty :)
I have also experienced people comment on too much/that is a lot of food when i have 50 cals of green beans instead of a spoonful like 6 or 8 beans.
I really am not sure people get it until they do some calorie counting and tracking.
Today was more soup, lunch and dinner.
Lunch i sat my asparagus in the soup instead of using another dish. Less washing the better.
