First day

First day on Ozempic. Have tried and succeeded on every diet I’ve ever done but it always seems to add back up. I’m a healthy eater and quite active but I’ve got a big appetite. Weight, blood pressure and blood sugars have been on the rise for a while now and dr.recommended ozempic to aid in this. I was pretty scared to do this. First injection this morning. Not sure what to expect ….

I hope the first shot went ok. I know I had the same feelings when I first started last June. Very similar situation to you, except I tend to snack in the evenings. My first time was good. I didn't have any side effects. I did end up losing about 10lbs in the first 3 months so it did help me. Good Luck!

Just started too, on July 3. The biggest surprise for me is the appetite suppression- I’ve always been hungry and right now am not feeling hungry constantly, even at the lowest dose. Hoping to join you on the road to success!

I’m so grateful for Ozempic. I’ve been dieting most of my adult life. I lost weight often, but then I’d just get tired of being hungry—always. Then, I’d quit and gain back more than I ever weighed. It used to take me a couple of years to lose 20 pounds. I started preparing for bariatric surgery, and I’m so glad I didn’t follow through.

Five months ago I weighed 227 pounds. I started Ozempic in October of 2024. Now, I have lost 40 pounds.

I’m 72 years old and am housebound with two chronic illnesses: Mialgic Encephalitis/CFS/and Fibromyalgia. I’m not able to move more than about 10 feet at a time. I was very concerned that I might not be able to lose weight without exercising. But, I am! Yay! Food noise is almost completely gone. I’m at a .5 dose right now. Just went up from .25 last week. I like .5 dose. I have no side effects other than constipation. I’m solving that with fiber and Miralax. My Fitness Pal helps me a lot. I stick to a 300 cal deficit. That’s the only way I’ve ever been able to lose weight.

My biggest fear is that when I reach my goal, I’ll have to stop because of the cost. But, I’m also T2 diabetic. Maybe I’ll be able to stay on it.

Thanks for listening. This can be petty lonely for a bedbound gal like me. Good luck to you. Don’t worry. It’s actually really fun.

I just restarted my MFP journey, I’d lost about 40 lbs in 2015-2016. Then we moved to another country, kids went through adolescent, covid, and perimenopause helped my lazy bum gain 30 back…. I’m done, I’m so depressed by my state of (un)health and I’m only 48.
just started Ozempic (two days ago), so far a bit of nausea and headache which got better when I added electrolytes. Yesterday very fatigued and a bit winded, this am feels a bit better. Here’s to hoping!!

New starter here too. Just took my first dose last night, didn’t wake up ravenous like usual so I guess that’s something?
