    Just kidding…

Cloudy and damp but supposed to become sunny, in the 40's. Bible study this morning. Then Zoom call with DD to help her through some Excel worksheet stuff she needs for her new job. I used Excel, and before that Lotus-123 back in the late 80's and all though my career; she's been a yoga teacher and sort of health guru the last 20 years and now is a personal secretary for a financier who she went to highschool with.

Heard DSIL's father has been very sick the last few months and is now in the hospital getting tests; they can't figure out what is wrong with him. Started after a bout with the flu. Fever, anemic, tired, swollen painful glands. Nice guy, was on a hockey team into his late 60's. 72, picture of health until recently. A real mystery.

Hiked a few miles yesterday, heard spring peepers for the first time this year, warmed up to 60º.

Have a good day. Hope Sam made it home okay yesterday, with his shoulder intact.

    Good morning!

I pray that Sam's surgery went well. Also continuing to pray for Joanne

I hope that Lee's performing surgery went well yesterday too.

Connie and I spent several hours cleaning all of the leaves and grass from the last two years out of her iris bed. I think that every muscle and bone in my body hurts. We found three small snakes yesterday too. I was able to pick one of them up and move it to the neighbor's ditch. The other two got away too quickly. None of them were copperheads for which I am grateful. I don't like sticking my hands in grass where I can't see the bottom, only to find a critter in there. Yuck! I HATE snakes.

I have several things that I'd like to do today, but rest might be in order. Storms are expected tonight.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents

Pray that Sam's surgery was routine and the recovery will be speedy and complete.

The Parotid Duct Transposition procedure went well. It's a delicate procedure, but patience and a steady hand prevailed.

I have been running full speed the last 3 days and not doing my home stretching or exercises. PT guy could tell first thing when he got me on the table. Thought I would be doing my last PT appt this week, but now he's recommending at least another week. No biggie.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Hope all is going well with Sam. Probably hard for him to log in with one useless, immobilized arm.

I wanted to go for a hike today, but didn't want to leave Rita when shew isn't feeling well. I might take a long forest walk in a nearby state park.

We have no venomous snakes here, that I know of. The snakes that live here are very welcome in our yard. They eat slugs and bugs that are pests in the garden. The larger snakes eat mice and rats. Love me some snakes.

I hope ya said "fools" with a Mister T accent! Ha

Glad ya got in a hike Mike and heard a few peeps.

Glad yu did well with the surgery Lee. Hang in there with your schedule and PT too.

Uh Dave it is true that the venomous snakes in the State of Washington are in Easter Washington and the sunny side of the Columbia River gorge where I have seen a rattler or two but not in your area.

I saw my first snake of the year on a local trail , a small garter snake.

    Hoping Sam is doing ok.

    Cheers

    Good Morning

Congratulations on the successful surgery Lee!

I too, trust Sam is home resting the best he can and that he and Joanne are able to make things work.

I hope to get out for a walk today. Heather is more determined. While I was making the filling for a skillet chicken pot pie, she drove to the beach and parked and waited out the rain. She was not alone. I tweaked my back over a week ago shifting stuff in the garage and to the dump. Still stiff and sore. I need to spend more time daily on it, but for now I am not doing much lifting which most of the projects I have require.
