    Good morning!

Chilly 40 this morning. Expecting possible freeze tomorrow and Monday.

I too have been seeing my weight going up. I've developed some bad habits again. I was just below 170, and now I'm back to almost 175. So I too will be supportive of those working extra hard on weight right now.

Mike, I'm so sorry to hear that about your piano teacher. Prayers for him and his family. I hope that you will be able to get another teacher, or find a way to continue your learning.

I'm not sure what is on tap today other than regular chores. I want to get back outside, but it is going to be raining again most of today. Tomorrow is supposed to be better weather, but it is Sunday rest day too.

    Have a great day!

Canoe trip was cancelled late yesterday. Forecast is low 40's, rainy and windy, "not fun to canoe in and there's danger of hypothermia" the trip leader wrote. I might go with my paddling buddy another day this month though, when it's in the 60's or 70's.

There was in fact a new piano teacher who came this Thursday, a retired woman in a wheelchair who is on a different wavelength altogether from what we have been doing musically. I hope it works out. And I hope Dennis, our previous teacher, can recover his life to an acceptable degree. He had been traveling all over the county doing weekly group lessons at senior centers. He even organized a choir and piano Christmas concert last year presenting a dozen of his own compositions. Once mentioned he had composed over 300 songs.

Planning some family camping trips for the summer with kids and grandkids. Just 2 or 3 days on outer Cape Cod. There's a low key campground in the National Seashore area, mostly tents in the woods, where you can walk a half mile through the forest to the ocean. We're hoping we can get reservations there.

I have to get in the habit, or be disciplined enough, to avoid salty and sweet food items. Salty, because my calves are swollen, despite compression socks and occasional elevating feet when I sit. Sweet, because one bite leads to another, world without end. Weight is not going down, which is where it needs to go. I should be around 170# more or less, and instead hover eternally around 195.

Might try to get in a walk before rain starts up…

    Good morning gentlemen.

Even after all the years I have been working this weight thing, I still haven't really found a good balance point. I am always either working to lose or drifting up. Maybe I can at least make the swings smaller.

It's going to be 71 and sunny, today. Tomorrow will be 55 and rain. Need to get outside to do something, today.

    Good Morning

The one thing that doesn’t change is the need for persistent effort on weight and fitness, says he who is strongling with both. When I don’t feel well I have little energy for it. That retirement attitude on this needs to go. I have no idea what is up for today. I have a couple things to work on. For fitness I will do some stretch/movement and a walk.
