@Rainbow2300 to answer your question regarding applications I use. It has changed throughout the years. I have made some dramatic weight losses throughout my 50 years of dieting. It happens once a decade but then the weight creeps up. Technology apps...myfitnesspal for accountability and support. Samsung Health for activity. And yes weigh-in's do help be it daily or weekly. This time I am trying to take a more holistic approach due to my challenges of being a caregiver to an aging parent with Parkinsons and the very fact that I am getting older. I am trying to do more activity as my focus with calorie counting along with the realization it took me 10 years to get this heavy. I should not expect immediate long term results. I wish everyone success on their weight loss journey.

My highest weight was July 1 2020 at 204lbs. My starting weight for this Challenge is 189 lbs. My goal is to lose 10 lbs and continue with my habits of logging my calorie intake and walking on the treadmill daily for 30 minutes. So I have decided to get up early to get my treadmill walk in and it has been working along with increasing my time to 35 minutes. I am now going to work on consuming more protein. Logging my food has shown me when I eat too many simple carbs my weight will adjust slightly up. I made the correction and have stayed the same weight

@Rainbow2300 The series of birthdays did include some long walks and I even got in a run first thing one morning before the eating commenced. I guess it could have been a lot worse! Letโs hope we can push on from here now.

Good morning!
So this may seem like an add victory but when I am having a bad flair up of chronic pain I will use edibles to get through the worst hours of it. I always get munchies like crazy and go wild eating everything. Last night was a bad night and I had an edible but I was able to get through without indulging. Woot!

Hi everyone,
The number on the scale this past Friday was so shocking I dare not report it! I've really been slipping up lately, but regained control as of yesterday. (I've got to stop watching the news feeds for a while!)
I'm going to be very careful this week and will post everything on the appropriate boards this Friday, treating it as a fresh "Day One"!

My knee pain is diminishing! Yay! Iโve been taking Turmeric lately which may be helping. I forgot I bought it at the Chocolate Festival I went to back in Feb. Iโm glad to see results today for all the โnoโsโ with my food choices! Iโll take the mini victories! I want to get back to the gym soon! ๐

Hi everyone,
I'm doing another reset. I've really got to get it in gear, because I'm the one who started this challenge but I'm definitely NOT setting a great example! I will post my new initial stats on the stats page, but for now I am switching my weigh-in days to Thursdays, as this past Thursday is exactly nine weeks until my annual physical. I weighed 159 when I last visited my doctor on March 17th, and I pledged to her that I would lose at least ten pounds by my physical. I think I can still do this, but only if I'm extra careful with my food diary and commit to at least 30 minutes of intentional physical activity, at least five times per week. I'm treating today as my "Day ONE":
04/24: 161.4 lbs. (eep)
I'm sure some of this is temporary water weight gain due to a late night meal on Wednesday evening that was loaded with sodium, but we'll find out on Thursday, May 1st!

Hi @Bemybestby60, I agree! The nicer weather makes activity easier. I would also like to lose 10 lbs. by Summer - maybe more. Logging is so important - I plan to really keep tracking consistently.

Hi everyone!
I don't dare post this morning's weight because I've really overindulged over the past couple of days; so I will make sure to post tomorrow morning's weight - no matter WHAT the scale says!
It's so good to see everyone returning and to read your posts! So glad you're all hanging in there!
So far I appear to be going in the wrong direction, but I will be joining a program that runs for two years soon. I am fully intending to commit 100%! It's called, "Path to Lifestyle Change" and that's what I need to do!
(I left my phone at home; so I have to wait until I post my steps on the other discussion board.)
