here’s my heart…
This week was a tough one with pain in my leg, but I pushed through and made it without missing work. It feels great to relax at home with Betty and just love on her today.
After six months of not eating out, I did so twice this week, both times picking up a grilled chicken sandwich with barbecue sauce. It was nice and fit in with my daily nutrition plan quite well. Life is about making good choices. I’m proud of myself.
Hope you’re having an amazing day as well!

Hi, I hope you're feeling better now Jessica.
I haven't been joining in recently but I hope you're all doing well.
I've been playing with the AI action doll craze this weekend.

I had a nice hike yesterday at Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park.
This tells the story: 6 miles with ~1,200 feet of elevation change - took me a bit over 3 hours.5 -
This wraps up my weekend! I am so sore from all the walking I did, but I love this heated foot massager!

Sick. With sick kids. Blah.
We still went on a walk this morning, but I think that's about all I'm going to do today. Hoping it passes quickly.

Got to spend yesterday afternoon egg hunting with 3 of my 5 grandchildren…these littles are Oliver, Brayden & Byron. As you can see, Byron was having NONE of it!

Each week, Garmin puts you in a steps challenge with 9 other people, with a step goal set a little higher than your steps have been trending. If you usually do 5k steps/day, you might be given a goal of 40k steps. If you usually do 15k steps/day, you might be given a goal of 110k or 120k steps. I've had lower and higher goals in past challenges, but last week's goal was 80k steps. I did a little over 100k steps which landed me in third place:
- 1st place = 115,925
- 2nd place = 102,355
- 3rd place = 100,586 ←- that's me! 😀
- 4th place = 94,028
- … last place = 73,007
The April Steps Podium challenge/badge is for finishing in the top 3 of at least one weekly steps challenge from March 31 to April 27. I'm hoping to win this badge each month, but it kind of depends on who you're grouped with.

Is it OK to join this challenge a little late? I’ve been traveling the last couple days. Here’s my week so far!
Sunday: My daughter, my sunshine, being goofy at a volleyball tournament.Monday: Airplane views always take my breath away
Tuesday: Selfie break during a work photo shoot in Arizona. My team makes the orange weight vest I am wearing.

My phone gave me a montage of photos titled "Sand and Sea 2022" this morning. It was nice to look back. So here's a few of those photos:
Here's me ending an open water swim in San Francisco Bay on March 7th, 2022
This one is later that year on July 26th, along a coastal trail, in Garrapata State Park (south of Carmel-By-The-Sea), on a California Parks Foundation volunteer work day (removing ice plant - what a pain!)
This one is at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove, later that same day.
Here's a collage of those photos:

I can’t pick my watch back up until 1030am(counting the minutes). I accidentally left it at my daughter’s house last night when I was adjusting the strap and it must of slipped off.
..might as well stay in bed and not move a muscle!! If Apple doesn’t know I’m moving, what’s the point of it all?!?! 😩😮💨😞

my nurse is taking a break 🐾🥰🙄

I earned my April Time to Walk badge yesterday - for 15 hours of walking in April.
Tomorrow I plan to earn the April Weekend Walking badge by taking a 3-mile walk.Today was Earth Day celebration in a local park. I volunteered at the Sierra Club booth for a couple hours, and also before and after helped a Humanist group set up and tear down their booth.
So, apart from a walk activity of a little over a mile, all my activity today has been of the non-exercise variety. I'll still hit my 10,000 step goal though, I'm sure.Happy Earth Day, and Happy Easter. 🌎🐰🐣✝️
