Good morning BBB friends.
The Lay-Z-Boy guy came and installed the new back on the chair. It seems to match, just fine. We'll keep our fingers crossed that it holds together. They don't remove old parts, he said, so I already salvaged the leather off the old back. You never know when something will come in handy.
Have to make some repairs/adjustments to the back door in our garage, so the latch works better. We also have a major leak in the sprinkler system that I need to fix. That's my job, now, Skip: handyman.
Had to chuckle at Sam pointing out the new Lexus could go for 400-500K. You don't seem to hold onto cars long enough to change the oil. Nice looking car, by the way.

Love the Lexus.
My Saturday off and its raining. This means I have to do housework. I swear, I gotta get a cleaning person. I just hate doing vacuuming and dusting and mopping. I enjoy being orderly, and cleaning up after myself in the kitchen and bathroom is automatic, and making the bed and laundry is oddly satisfying, but the everything else is just tedious. M hated having someone come into the house to clean, but she didn't seem to mind doing it herself. Our younger son, who was really into comic book heros, called her Dark Mom when she was running the vacuum cleaner. I think it was the intense look on her face when she was after dirt.

Pablo has had his morning walk and is now sleeping on sofa.
I need to get a bath and do some cleaning in house limited to right hand.
No other plans for day.
Skip, since you enjoy vehicles so much; consider working for a dealership; I thoroughly enjoyed the auto industry and once one is established can make a very good living. Just know most to not have good benefits.
Sunny and low 80's today.
Mary and Tom should be waking up at lake this morning, plenty to do taking care of three properties.
Hope Lee is off to spend time with girls.

Morning BBB
The sun is shining after 3 days of rain. Not sure what's on the schedule but a nice long walk for sure.
And I should call my sister...her birthday is tomorrow but we are usually out all day on Sunday's. If my math is right she will be 49. Her youngest graduates in a few weeks.
Should also call Ron's sister and see how we can help with his brother...she thinks they will need to move in together so maybe help clean out his house when we are there next month. It will a huge undertaking. Their mom lived there for 5 years and she was a hoarder…I'm sure it is much the same as before she passed in 2020.

SamIAm - don't think I haven't thought about that! But, i know my limits. I don't do well with stupid. I think someone on here knows my penchant for using the horn too :-).
I'd love to consider opening a high-end car storage/speak-easy. There's one about an hour from me. They have a 2 year wait list to get in there!

Doc - I agree. I keep neat/orderly but loathe the mopping; vacuum and bath/sheets part. We have two ladies that come every other Friday. They are like the Tazmanian Devil. In/Out in about 90 minutes. The house always smells great afterwards!

I've found that if you spend all your time outside, the inside stays pretty clean.
Getting Cecilia in about 4 hours. Went to bed early and was up early because I'm just all partied out after all this time without her.

- Yep, no alarm clock takes some getting used to. Although, I have found non-paying reasons do get up early in the morning. Much to my chagrin.
- Glad to hear the chair repair went well. Let's hope it holds.
- Yes, I have a new refrigerator that cools and maintains a constant temperature and trust me, that's a good thing.
- Our cleaning crew is a mother and son team.
- Speaking of new, I have a new whip. No, I've never owned a whip and no reason to start now. I have a new Honda CR-V. I bought it through Costco, and it was the easiest vehicle (see, no whip) purchase I've ever made. Oh, and it was made in Kelly's backyard, Greensburg, IN.

Dh and ds2 just left for dump with the 4th and final trailer full of yard debris. Crazy how these pines shed so many needles every winter. Yards look great and I'm greatful ds2 was here to help. Though I was way more useful this spring... More strength and energy!
Tonite I'm charcoal grilling burgers and foil packs of tators and onions. With raw veggies and dill dip. Spotted Cow beers for the guys.
Tomorrow we launch the boat. Weather today was great 60's and sunny.
I need to renew my fishing license. Nice it's all online.
That pinapple upside down cake reminds me of my Gramma baking it too. Yum. I'll take mine a dollop of whipped cream on top!
