    Waiting sucks.

    Was supposed to hear on TWO offers yesterday. One finally called to say, we need until Friday. The other, "ghosted" me.

    Getting pretty anxious.

    Good morning.

    Everyone does things in their own time and own way without regard to candidate expectations, Skip. Our talent & Culture guy does stupid stuff like put one person into interviews so they feel like there's movement, but the hiring manager always wants to interview two which creates a lag on the first while finding a second.

    Lee - I asked about that the other day. It's a 4 week program and they introduce the collar in week 2. So it wasn't frustration; just part of the plan. Or so they say. 😂

    Going to be another beautiful day: 77 and sunny. I need to clean up the shop, but some outdoor activity is called for, too. I'll see if Sassy has a suggestion. Rita is in garden mode, with time for nothing else.

    • DW is back in the house, so all is right with the world.
    • I did manage to buy and plant flowers while she was gone.
    • Hiring a candidate and waiting for an offer are two totally different timelines. Frustrating.

    My last job took almost 9 weeks from application to hire. I had given up hope. Hopefully you will move faster than that.

    It's finally not raining. Have a couple of things to get at the farmers market then maybe a long walk. If we can find enough non muddy paths.

    Started day with my Emmaus group, good to get back.

    Forecast calls for chance of rain tonight, taking Pablo around and heavy sprinkle began.

    Tomorrow DW has pre-op in morning then I have to be across state to rheumatologist by 2

    Yes, I bet Sassy can always find something for you to do

    Back in '99 it took about 4 months for me to get through the process to start working for county.
