losing . 2 lbs for the last couple weeks, maybe cause I haven’t done anything too crazy workout wise! I’m dealing with some Costocondritis/rib pain so it’s hard to go back to lifting but I’ll have to wait until the pain is gone!1 -

@minstrelofsarcasm - I def do 'throw everything in' omelettes (though I might start using your term lol), I don't think eggs are as expensive over here though I hear all my friends across the pond complaining. Got a pack today anyway.
Had a really bad food day yesterday, just ate loads of junk - I wasn't hungry, I knew I needed to stop, and yet kept doing it 😥 Really cross with myself as I'd been doing well and thought I had more self-control that that. Felt rubbish all morning today, bloated and sluggish. Forced myself to get out though, had a walk in the lovely sunshine, popped into the Farmers Market and picked up some veggies, bread, cheese, eggs, so going to try and focus on simple foods this weekend. Had some lentil and tomato soup with crusty bread for a late lunch and don't think will have a lot else today.

Dangit! Here we go with that dang yoyo again! I'm going to try and do good this week so I can see that number go back down! I don't want to see the 220's again, and it felt good going further away from it! I've got to do better and try harder!

Weigh in day: Monday
CW: 267.0 lbs
PW: 269.2 lbsGoals this week:
⏹️Strength train 3x
⏹️Drink 2L of water per day
⏹️Read for 10 minutes per day
⏹️Eat within my calorie range (2200 calories, +/- 100 calories)Hope nobody minds I add this. Forgot to add last week's goals check:
❌Drink a minimum of2L of water each day
❌Eat within my calorie range (2200 calories, +/- 100 calories)
🤷🏻♀️Eat minimum of 165g protein and 30g fiber each day
✅Strength train 3x
✅Walk 20-30 minutes per dayDidn't do great with the water and the calories. I definitely went over my calories and didn't drink enough water on a couple of days. But I did eat a good amount of protein and fiber, even if I didn't quite reach my goals every single day. Averaged 132g of protein. I did all my strength workouts and walked every day though.

Way to walk Weight No More!
Kudos to top of the leaderboard, @Emilienewme for most steps in one day--exceeding 30K! WHAT?!?
Well done @golf2bFit making Most Consistent! And a special shout out on that— @golf2bFit was so consistent their steps differed by less than 1% every day.
A big welcome to our new walker @kkay2345!
Of course, bolded members have a step goal and reached it.
Ordinarily I would order the walkers highest to lowest weekly steps but the new editor makes tagging people hard (it won't tag if you paste the @name in and sometimes even when you type it) and it won't let you cut paste tagged names. I forgot to order before I tagged (I use a template) so…I'm just not going to today, being Really late anyway. Well done all of you!
* Members did not post the whole week but had enough posted to deserve recognition!
If you want to join the step challenge for April:
Just post your steps by the end of Wendnesday after the week ends. I'm flexible and might wait a day or two for you. If we're 'friends', I may drop a personal note to you to check in. If we aren't, and you'd like a personal note, send me (melaniedscott) a friend request.
Part of the challenge or new and want to add or update a goal?
If you want to... be bold (heehee), let us know how many steps you want to hit every day on average and we'll keep track of it for you!
For anyone confused about where we are ...
This is post is for April 27-May 3. For those interested in joining the May step challenge (you can join any time!), the week of May 4 (5/4-5/10) steps should be posted by Wed, May 14th.
Awesome walking steps team!

Overall, I did great this week! I have been doing more food planning (thanks to help from y'all with your ideas!), and I even stuck to it some days! I would like to be able to enter the food for the week further in advance and modify it by day, but that didn't happen last week. I have some time this afternoon, so I will add what I have to MFP and see if that makes the obstacle less of a barrier.
I mentioned last week that keeping the plan top of mind is the most important thing and I would agree again this week. Every time I notice that I am "deviating" from the plan, I am reminded that there IS A PLAN! The more I notice, the better I'm able to access it at other times.
Goal 1: Plan food for each day before the day begins and enter the food in MFP (bonus if I enter it a week or more at a time). (this week did 2/7)
Goal 2: Eat based on the plan and note where I deviate from the plan. Update in MFP. (this week did 1/7)
Goal 3: Get 6000 steps at least 5 times per week and an average of 7000+ steps per week not counting steps over 10k. (this week - goal achieved!)
Goal 4: Read and post in this thread twice or more weekly. (this week - goal achieved!)
Goal 5: Add my weight to my hacker daily - Hacker weight log (this week - goal achieved!)
Steps
U 5/4 = 16087 (10k for average)
M 5/5 = 3509
T 5/6 = 12128 (10k for average)
W 5/7 = 3155
R 5/8 = 10630 (10k for average)
F 5/9 = 6805
S 5/10 = 6070
U 5/4 - S 5/10 average: 7077/day (not including steps over 10k) & exceeded 6k 5 times this week!

@cedarfoxy - One of the things that I like to do is make a bunch of servings of whatever I'm cooking, so that I have extra food already prepped and ready to go, and then I can copy meals from one day to the next, which keeps things pretty smooth throughout the week (assuming I remember to log my food during the week, I am notorious for completely forgetting). When you plan your meals for the week in advance, is it a lot of the same things over and over again?

@melaniedscott Can you remove me from the step challenge for now? I want to get tracking consistently down first and then I am going to try and increase my steps.

Paging the following for updated weigh-ins/excusal requests!
Expected today:
As always, let us know if you need to be excused! Going two weeks without an update and without an excusal will result in being removed from the team. If you need a break, but still want to be part of the team, we can move you to the Support Team! Let us know what you need, and we are here for you!

I definitely have not been walking enough since my plantar fasciitis has been flaring up, but I want to get back at it. Somewhat counter-intuitively, the last time I was walking a lot more than I am now, it helped my foot more than hurt it. I've been doing some physio exercises too.

When you plan your meals for the week in advance, is it a lot of the same things over and over again?
I really enjoy eating the same foods, but I have burned myself out on some foods that I used to really love. Now I am trying to eat the same foods in different combinations to address that. It feels like every week is a blank page (like writer's block) and it takes me stupid amounts of time to write the darn plan. Then I don't follow it because I rarely get a plan done, so it's not top of mind. Logically, I know it's a process, but it's frustrating to backslide so much.

I am going to see the surgeon for my back on Friday. Let’s hope this guy doesn’t cancel again. This would be time number 3. I just want to be able to stand without leaning on things and get back to walking and dancing. The rest of my body is starting to feel the pain from lack of exercise. I want to get back to more steps, I don’t like seeing very little steps. I do try to get up from my desk and go take small walks around the building instead of having to use the phone to call into a classroom or I will walk out to the playground instead of using a walkie talkie. It makes me feel a little better.

Completely understand the burnout from eating the same things over and over again. I've hit it a few too many times for my liking. I've gotten to the point where I can usually make it work by having two different starches available to me, at least two main proteins, and then having a large supply of produce at my disposal to balance it all out. Sometimes even this fails me, but it's still a good starting point for me most weeks.
For example: I've got several servings of roasted potatoes and rice leftover from previous cooking sessions, and then some baked salmon and shredded chicken already prepped. So all I'd need to do is toss some veggies together, whatever appeals to my taste buds at the time, and that's a meal. I picked up some arugula (known as rocket in some other countries) recently, so I've been making a variety of salads to pair with my meal, but sometimes it's just a matter of throwing a steamable bag of broccoli into the microwave and calling it a day.

@minstrelofsarcasm I have been such a slacker lately. I am sorry. 194 is my weight this past week. One more week until school is out. Then things will calm back down until August when we go back to work. It has been stressful because our preschool is closing down. Today was our graduation for our kiddos going to kindergarten. It was very emotional. I definitely stressed ate. But I picked up a used treadmill today. I am looking forward to getting on it in the morning.

Cw:172.2lb 78.3kg
It's been a busy week with my daughter having her exams. Gutted I put a bit on this week as I was hoping for a loss.
There is a chance I might not get to my weigh-in on 23rd as I'm camping in a middle of a field. Unless I can find a shop that has scales.
Hope your all well

@blessedgrandma5 - It's completely understandable to be a bit behind sometimes, things happen! And with the extra stresses on top of the norm, I'm sure anyone could understand eating your (delicious, delicious) feelings. You have any fun plans for the summer?

I have not been really good about posting lately. I especially have not been doing good about posting my steps. I know that this is late for the weekly steps, and that is ok, but I wanted to start getting back on track and encourage anyone who is feeling discouraged. I have been battling aches, pains and honestly, laziness. I was getting discouraged but God and I had a good chat and my head (and heart) is back on track. Doing the step challenge has spurred me on to keeping a running total. Since January this is what I have done. My goal was to beat each month by at least one step.
