May Week 1 Group Challenge - Move It in May

This week is a Move It in May Challenge!! Your task is to get moving this month and enjoy some of this nicer, warmer weather! I encourage you to try and have at least 4 out of 7 moving days this week. Post daily and share your adventures…take the dog for a nice walk…get some beautiful pictures of enjoying the outdoors…post an encouragement for your teammates! Looking forward to your comments this week! I so wish I was feeling better and that I could enjoy it too!! I am moving more during the workday, but still have to limit myself due to swelling/pain. I will vicariously through your adventures!
Enjoy your week!
Jessica

I've walked indoors today as it's pouring rain outside…getting ready to do my strength exercises as well…gotta finish a load of laundry first. Hope you're enjoying your day!
Do any of the activities listed in the above calendar look promising for any of you??

Plus I made a friend!

We were packing down from camping so lots of movement plus getting everything out of the car.
Tomorrow I am going to go for a walk no matter the weather.

Today is my birthday. It's been pretty good so far:
🧘♂️yoga:10 min; 🏊♂️swim:1250 yds / 42 min; 🚴♂️bike:8.57 mi / 61 min;- First, I rode my bike this morning at 7:30, stopping at Starbucks half way through my ride to enjoy a free birthday venti mocha (no whip) and a chocolate croissant for breakfast.
- Next, I had lunch with my sister and brother-in-law, their older daughter and her husband and their two kids, and my younger brother and sister-in-law.
- Then I headed to my gym, arriving 45 minutes before my swim reservation, so I laid out in the sun and listened to some music on my earbuds.
- Then I swam 1250 yards.
- I haven't walked yet but I need to get a walk in before day's end, but for now I'm just chilling.
I've been talking about balance exercises with my brother whose doing physical therapy after having back surgery. I've also been saying how this is National Bike Month, so I'm riding my bike. So, I thought this birthday card from him and my sister-in-law seemed quite appropriate. In case you can't read it, the caption is:
It is the same in life as it is with riding a bicycle.

Got out and walked on lunch today, but forgot to take pictures. Monday is also one of my body pump class days, so that's an indoor activity.

love this “activities” calendar. Thank you for sharing. I’ve already tried three new things I never thought of.. worked outside on my patio, which just never occurred to me since we built the space 3 years ago. Took my yoga mat out there and tried a Tabata workout.

I earned this badge this morning, ironically by doing a meditation activity.
