I think I am going to excuse myself from weighin this week…because. Back at it next week.

I am up this week. I95.5 I struggled this week being my last week of work and I ate a lot of foods and quantity I should not have. Now that I am on summer break it is a good time for a reset. I had my son daughter in law and grandson over for a visit. We cooked out and had all healthy options. I didn’t even miss the “bad” items.

I have 1 week off (school holidays) but not much planned so hopefully I can make the most of it and find new healthy recipes to try, have time to go for family walks and a longer run. The weather forecast is looking a bit hit and miss so we'll see

Weigh in day: Monday
CW: 269.6
PW: 268.7Darn! I'm up again this week. I'm not surprised I guess, it was my 40th birthday on Saturday and there was cake and lots of yummy foods.
This week, I'm going to set these goals:
- Eat more mindfully and slowly at each meal
- Strength train 2-3 times
- Drink 2L of water daily
- Sleep 7+ hours per night

S- 6300I'm gonna set a step goal of 7000 for the coming weeks. I can't remember what I had set as my goal before so I'll aim for 7000+ and move up from there. I'm so sick of the rainy weather and I miss having my walking buddy, since my dog had surgery. But I'm also going to try to do more decluttering and cleaning around the house so that should add some steps.

For my fellow Americans, how did your Memorial Day weekend go? I know holiday weekends can be tough, especially if there's large gatherings, cookouts, etc.

@minstrelofsarcasm my Memroual day went really well. On Saturday I had my son and daughter in law over with our grandson. I know they are being careful with what they eat so I was able to keep everything healthy. I didn’t even miss the junk. We introduced a lot of fruit to our grandson. He is 16 months old. On Monday I knew there was going to be a lot of poor choices. Thankfully there really wasn’t. I was able to stay on plan.

Waiting on Updates From…
Let me know if you need to be excused for this week!
@purple1butterfly - I didn't see anything from you last week. Do you need to be excused, should we move you to the support team for a bit… what would help you?
Currently on the team's droplist (let me know if you want to stick with the team!)

I went camping this weekend and it was lovely! And it's hard to eat as much veg as I normally do when I'm in the woods eating out of a cooler. Note to self to put more time into planning food in the future before the trip.
I found an amazing cookbook called Piecemeal that is on using a highly flavorful component that you can build a meal around. I'm making the jammy onions and garlicky mushrooms this week. I also have quinoa, brown rice and lima beans on the plan. And only half a dozen(ish) veg!
Goal 1: Make food based on piecemeal approach - Made a plan, but haven't implemented it yet
Goal 2: Get 6000 steps at least 5 times per week and an average of 7000+ steps per week not counting steps over 10k - 4 of 5 days for the goal. I took good care of my knee though and by the end of the week, it was feeling much better! Average 6676/7000
Goal 3: Read and post in this thread twice or more weekly. - Forgot again this week: plan a day to do this specifically - Fridays and Tuesdays
Goal 4: Add my weight to my hacker daily - Hacker weight log - Done!
Steps
U 5/18 = 4186
M 5/19 = 4201
T 5/20 = 10074 (10k for average)
W 5/21 = 7451
R 5/22 = 3605
F 5/23 = 7289
S 5/24 = 16720 (10k for average)
U 5/18 to S 5/24 average: 6676 (not including steps over 10k) & exceeded 6k 4 times this week!

Hi Team Weight No More, you have a new member joining. Please welcome @sllm1 😄

@sllm1 - Welcome to Team Weight No More! I'm Ashley, one of your captains here as well as one of the moderators for the overall Fat2Fit Group here on MyFitnessPal.
If you have any questions or concerns, about anything!, post it here - we have a wide variety of people here with so many different experiences, I am positive someone here can be useful. Additionally, I am a scientist at my day job and a certified personal trainer (yes, I am perpetually exhausted), so if you need any kind of scientific/technical expertise, I'm your girl!
Your first official weigh-in will be in the June chatroom on Tuesday, June 3rd! All we need from you is your weight on that day, but you are welcome to include additional information (e.g., previous weight, starting weight, loss to date, habit tracking, step counts, etc.) - you can scroll through our May chat to see examples of the kinds of things our members share in here.

I don't feel like my weight is moving much at all and it is a bit disheartening but I have been more consistent with tracking and have been exercising more so I am hoping to see some change soon
It was May half term here for us and we made the most of the week off to go on family walks and visit a bird reserve. Here are a few photos

Way to walk Weight No More! This step crew is really stepping up! Three of our walkers consistently walked at least 10K a day and none of our walkers was under 5000 a day on average. Awesome!!
Kudos to top of the leaderboard, @Emilienewme for most steps in one day--exceeding 20K! @purple1butterfly was just 3000 steps behind. Well done @blessedgrandma5, making Most Consistent! And of course, bolded members have a step goal and reached it.
If you want to join the step challenge for May:
Just post your steps by the end of Wendnesday after the week ends. I'm flexible and might wait a day or two for you. If we're 'friends', I may drop a personal note to you to check in. If we aren't, and you'd like a personal note, send me (melaniedscott) a friend request.
Part of the challenge or new and want to add or update a goal?
If you want to... be bold (heehee), let us know how many steps you want to hit every day on average and we'll keep track of it for you!
For anyone confused about where we are ...
This is post is for May 18-24. For those interested in joining the May step challenge (you can join any time!), the week of May 25 (5/25-5/31) steps should be posted by Wed, June 4th. This is the last week for May.
Awesome walking steps team!
