Rise and shine gentlemen…
50º and hazy sunshine. Had nice visit with eldest DD after she served dinner. I helped her in her yard, pruning bushes and scrub and just talking about whatever. She's got beehives, flower gardens, a small vegetable garden, a few fruit trees and some rows of blue- and raspberry bushes. Gave me a bar of homemade soap she somehow made from honey? beeswax?
Went to use my bike the other day and the back tire was flat—after inflating it just a few weeks ago. Dug out the spare innertube I keep and it has a hole at the base of the valve, not fixable, so I need to pick one up next time I'm in the city.
Time for coffee…

Good morning!
Sam, prayers for you and for Joanne today.
Lee, funny boat story. May your prop find my anchor that was not tied to the boat.
I had a very nice Father's Day yesterday. Today will be about getting a lot of little things done. I am starting to gear up for a larger project, which is painting the bathroom. This project will require a few small wall repairs from when the shower was put in, and also a new door, and new baseboards. Ah, the joys of home ownership.
I did get a 13 mile bike ride in yesterday. I'm very slowly getting back in shape. I have not lost any weight, however.
Bill, my Aunt used to live in Coos Bay. She was a school teacher there. I never got to visit her while she was there.
Have a great Day.

Good morning gentlemen.
Many times have I tried to drive my boat with no propeller - metaphorically, anyway.
Had a nice Fathers' Day. DS drove over with a potted basil plant for me, along with some sausage and a couple cans of a new craft beer (alcohol free). Rita let me spend the entire afternoon watching the U.S. Open. And I fried a wonderful smash burger on a kaiser roll for supper.
Rita has a doctor's appointment this morning, then we have a couple errands to run. I might get in the shop this afternoon.

Good Morning
Great story Lee and it is a great metaphor too!
We had a wonderful Father's day. Amazingly beautiful clear day down the coast. Temps were in the upper 50's with a gentle breeze. We toured a small botanical garden in a park on the coast and then had a picnic. I apparently had an attack of Vertigo when we stood up after eating which was a bit of an experience. Never had one before….not a fan. After two attempt at moving, they helped me into the car and there I stayed. I told them I was content to stare out into the ocean while the walked on the beach. I am not allowed to walk on sand for the near future anyway. My son made me these high end Rice Krispie Bars where he toasts the rice krispie and adds brown butter and vanilla. Very rich, very tasty and very dangerous. Out in the garden today.
Continuing to pray for Joanna
