Cool and rainy this morning. Undecided if I should skip Bible study friends group this week and get out for a hike instead. I have such poor willpower when there's baked sweets (and homemade!) Feel like I need a detox month or two of no sugars. Sunday DD plied me with brownies and icecream after her delicious meatballs and pasta Father's Day dinner.

Started sanding the grooves out of my piano hammers last night. Did one section of about 20 and they look great. It's easy to ruin them going too fast or carelessly, but so far so good.

DGD gets her Silver Arrow from the Girl Scouts tomorrow night, but she has pneumonia and doc put her on antibiotics, so might not happen. DD says it's one last step before the gold arrow, equivalent to the Eagle Scout award.

Propeller and anchor on the lake bottom remind me of icefishing with DS when he unscrewed my fancy fishing tip-up that had frozen in place and the bottom half sunk down into the deep. Scavengers could make a haul of loot if they were ambitious, I'll bet.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good Morning,

DW has another doctors appointment today.

Sunny this morning, chance of thunderstorms late afternoon; as usual from the HOT and HUMID South.

    Good morning!

    Sam, praying for Joanne.

I did not feel well yesterday. I'm starting to wonder if I have been over doing it on the exercise. I tend to want to do that. I took it easy yesterday, and I likely will today. We are expecting heavy storms today. I somehow need to find a good balance between beneficial exercise and too much exercise. I wonder if it is time I give up the spreadsheets that I've been keeping on my exercise since 2000, and just focus on how I feel today?

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Kind of rushed this morning. Trying to get out the door for a hike. I haven't been hiking nearly enough.

Too much exercise might leave me sore but never feeling ill. For me, if I feel "off" exercise is more of a cure than a cause. Just the thought of keeping spread sheets, on the other hand, gives me a headache.

    Have a great day, guys

    Good Morning

Never got out to the garden yesterday. Got a late start and ended up running errands and then came home and put things away from. Today we are Eugene bound to pick up some things Heather ordered at Target and came in quickly. We have a couple of other things that are on the next time we go to the city list. It will be 20° warmer there. We hope to go early and get back early so I can get things done here.

Spreadsheets, I used to do them all the time like a dutiful accountant and analyst. But finally I went into detox. No I rarely do them. Its good to be free.

Oh my Lee getting caught up here. Your boat propeller story was funny for those of us who weren't there. So sorry. Maybe the guys here can prop ya up???

Did folks see the story of the big celebration at the Chicago White Sox stadium.

"From the ambo, Cardinal Cupich looked around the stadium nearly filled with tens of thousands of people.

“Wow. I think I will remember this moment as ‘the sermon on the mound,'” he said in a tongue-in-cheek reference to Jesus’ famous Sermon on the Mount recounted in Matthew 5-7.

Cardinal Cupich then preached a homily on people’s inherent dignity, inviting the faithful to “live authentically” and taking a forceful stand against the country’s immigration policy. "

Tens of thousands of the faithful and apparently some T-shirts which said "Daaaaa Pope". The pope I think appeared by zoom from Rome too.
