Everyone is doing so well this month! Knocking goals out one after the other. Well done.

@Elfirose33 that hauling after your workout is massive. Well done for managing and playing in those circumstances.

@zichab Hope you are starting to feel better.

@Deeder522 great job with your rings goal! And morning appointments can really mess with a day. Hopefully it turns out ok for you.

Great job with your steps and being so close to your goal weight @lclark04957!! Amazing that you got your deck done.

Did an outdoor 2 mike walk. Temp was down to 66, so I went for it. Missed that the humidity is 98%. Sticky mess after, lol πŸ₯΅

I was able to eek out some strength training last night, & that looks like what I'll be doing again today.
I had to drop off my car for it's "spa" day and got some quality time/coffee with a friend who was able to bring me back home.
The county/state is repaving a major street in my area and I'm working through the inconvenience.

@megd44 We sat on our back poch last night and watch the lightening from the storms that went through to the North. Jealous that your temps dropped into the 60s, we didn't make out of the 70s last night.

@zichab How are you doing with that post flight cold?

@Elfirose33 Hauling gear really should be listed as a separate workout. When I have to do a full install it's very similar to a musician hualing gear.

@lclark04957 Deck and stairs! You guys are beast!!

Everyone is doing such a good job this month, let's see how strong we can finish June off!!!

Popping back in with a night time report. I did a peppy 50s & 60s Music walk with Improved Health.
I feel like I'm building up my stamina this month. I hope that I can swing some 2-mile walks with Leslies and maybe a step routine with Jenny Ford or Jessica Smith

I remembered I bought some Good Culture cottage cheese so a couple of ounces of that with pistachios as been my nighttime snack the last couple of nights.

Dennis and I went to get his blood work done and then we went to Aldi for groceries and when we got home, I slept for 3 hours!!! In the middle of the day!!!!!! I never do this. My neighbor came over and said "Oh no, you have a summer cold! Those are the worst!" So @megd44 and @Elfirose33, my neighbor has confirmed your diagnoses that I am totally screwed for the week!!! I have company coming next month and this week was supposed to be my big prep week. I know, first world problem!!!! πŸ™„ Now I have yet another reason to HATE summer!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ž

I cannot do the weight workouts right now as I am just not up to them. I am keeping up with the aerobic ones though, so I am in cardio shape to hike mountains next month.

It is 10 PM and I am heading up to bed. I have to clean the glass on our wood stoves tomorrow because the chimney cleaning guy is coming on Thursday. Wait … maybe I'll get Dennis to do it!!!! 😈

Today I accomplished my personal training session #4 for 30 minutes total. In all, I managed 3 full rounds in the 10 minute AMRAP circuit. My totals from all 3 rounds were: stationary bicycle (I don't know my actual time on the bike), 18 walking lunges (each leg, with each lowering knee lightly touching the floor, and I had the use of a pole as a walking stick for balancing) and 18 clean and presses using 8-lb dumbbells. Before the AMRAP circuit, I also did a total of 3 slower rounds of stationary bicycle, 30 slow bench presses with 10-lb dumbbells, and 30 deadlifts with 15-lb dumbbells. These were completed, not all at once, but in groups of 10 reps each, within each of the 3 rounds. And before I knew it the time was up! I can't believe how quickly 30 minutes goes by now. I'm pretty sure I'm going to feel the effects of those lunges tomorrow… πŸ˜†

@megd44 Thank you so much! Great job getting 2 miles done in the humidity! It's crazy how the temp can be low but the humidity high, making everything so difficult and uncomfortable. Good job pushing through!

@Deeder522 Good job with your strength training, every little bit counts and helps! That repaving will be so nice when it's done, but so hard to get around when they're working on it. We had lots of lightning here too last night. I agree that hauling gear should be a workout all it's own. My great challenge in hauling my gear was that I was sooo sore in my upper body from my personal training session the previous day, and it was very windy on top of that. Cool, 50/60s music sounds fun to walk to! Great work building your stamina! And that sounds like a wonderful little snack!

@zichab Wow, 3 hours! You really needed that! Sleeping is so healing. Take good care, rest well, and I hope you get well soon! πŸ’š Amazing job and dedication keeping up with the cardio while sick!

Edit: the pole I used as a walking stick with the lunges wasn't for balancing, it was for stability πŸ˜… And I was so thankful to have it!

I've been on the go since 7:30 this morning so I'm taking a rest day. I'll see if I get a 2nd wind for some arm work but it's been a week already.

I cleaned up the den enough that I was able to unfold the Total Gym that we have. Mainly for Ryan to try to use but if it's out I might as well give it a go. I'll have to page through the book to refresh myself on the moves.

Well, I woke up with no voice today, so color Dennis happy!! He made a show of feeling so bad for me and then started asking me questions and saying, "Oh that's right, you can't talk!!!" and laughing. The man is going to end up out in the snow come winter!!!! πŸ˜‚

My energy level is still low, but I only had a 1 hour nap today so I am hoping I am finally turning the corner with this thing. I did not get my wood stove windows cleaned and I have decided I don't care. I am sure I am not the only customer they have with dirty wood stove windows. Right now, I need to focus the energy I have on the important stuff like meals, laundry, basic cleaning and keeping up with my fitness gains as I am not losing 5 months of work over a cold!!!! 🀧

@Deeder522 Do not believe the advertising that "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!!!!" They do not keep their viruses there at all!!! I feel like crap and now have no voice! AND, I just looked it up and the NIH says it can be 7-10 days before I will feel better!!!! Now I am depressed besides! πŸ˜”

@Elfirose33 Thank you for putting my 3 hour nap in such wonderful terms. I shall think of today's nap as "healing" instead of crashing! πŸ˜‚ Hopefully, tomorrow I will get by without one. Fingers crossed 🀞

Bless you @megd44 for taking a walk in 98% humidity!!! I am still walking indoors because it has been so humid here and the mosquitos are ubiquitous! There is absolutely no relief from them. I brought in groceries yesterday and got 4 mosquito bites in that short time. We need some dry wind to chase them away!

You continue to amaze all of us @lclark04957!!!! I hope Fit Bit has awards for all those steps and miles on their site like Garmin does. You would be exceeding all the challenges!!!

Yesterday I gardened for 90 minutes and mowed for 45.

Great job with the strength training @Deeder522 and building your stamina. I love the good culture cottage cheese, buy it at Costco if that tells you anything. I'll have to try it with pistachios.

@zichab sorry to hear you are still sick. You need to listen to your body and do what you can as you can. Rest is good!

@Elfirose33 you are amazing with your training sessions. So inspiring!!

Way to keep hitting your goals @lclark04957! Knocking it out of the park.

Completed the 300,000 step for the month challenge with Garmin yesterday. Which was a rest day. Today I completed a three mile outside loop. Still super humid but I got it in before the rain.

Cheers to a strong last few days for all of us.

Last night, I pampered my feet and calves with a good go-over with the massage gun. This morning they rewarded me with 2 miles of Burn Body Fat from Leslie. Plus a cool down with Improved Health.

@zichab That was so rude of Vegas to treat you that way. I know you'll power back after you take a couple of healing days.

@Elfirose33 The burn for the yardwork must have been excellent.

@megd44 Nice job on completing the 300K challenge.

Happy Friday!!! It's the last weekend of June. 😳 Where did the month go??
I focused on Arms today. 10 m inutes with Jessica Smith & 10 minutes with Fit by Mik this morning.
I got Ryan to PT yesterday and he's waiting for the weather to be more temperature friendly so he can head out on his bike. He did take a test ride through the yard. It's been several months since he's riden and he could tell. I'm trying to figure out what to do with my bike. It's probably 20 year old now and I haven't riden it in…well now I can't remember if I've been on it since Covid.
Well, I'll try and remember but I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Today I accomplished personal training session #5 for 30 minutes. Whew! And once again, true to form, he wore me out completely!! I guess that's what I hired him for πŸ˜… Tonight I will be hauling all my music gear to the outdoor Theater in the Park to perform in the musical Annie (I'm a trumpeter in the Pit Band). Tonight is Opening Night! It runs through this weekend.

@megd44 Congratulations on getting your 300,000 challenge done! On a rest day too, and your 3 mile outside loop before the rain! Way to go! Yes, cheers to the last few June days!

@Deeder522 Very nice giving your calves and feet a massage 🧑 Good workouts! Yes, I always feel the burn in the hamstrings doing gardening and yardwork. All that bending over, I guess.

    @lclark04957 Outstanding month!

@zichab How are you? Thinking of you and hoping you feel better soon! πŸ’š

I wanted to take it easy this morning. 5min warm and up & 10 min walk with Leslie follwed with an Improved Health walk that I used as a cool down.
Today, should be must better on the weather front. It's a 1 day reprieve as we swing back into 90 somthine tomorrow. but we'll take it. Son mowed yesterday and we can finally have a more normal looking yard. Keeping it so long let it survive the heat streak.

@Elfirose33 Best of luck with your performances this weekend.

Did another 3 mile loop outside today because not sure what the temps will do tomorrow. Definitely going to be warming up more and hoping the humidity stays lower. If not, I'll be back to indoor workouts.

@Elfirose33 it sounds like the trainer is worth every penny. Good luck on opening night!

@Deeder522 nice options for the day. And calf massages are the best!! Hope the heat doesn't get too bad for you.
