I think y'all should move to Texas, Skip. You'll have more buying power here and I'm sure the state could use some help with whatever it is you do. You can go 10 miles in any direction and have no neighbors, and there are plenty of car dealers.

Good morning BBB friends.
Looking at a very pleasant day, today: 73 degrees, sunny, and no appointments or errands on the calendar.
Those with at least a 30-percent VA disability rating can get a free lifetime pass to federal recreation sites. Mine serves as a parking permit for all the hikes I do in National Forests, as well as my entrance to National Parks. I also have free lifetime permits for both Washington and Oregon State Parks. It does pay to know your perks.

Trimmed some of shrubs in front and picked up clippings
Clothes are soaked, some got a good rain overnight; we got less than a 1/4 inch.
Tis TGIF eve, Lou and Skip, Mary is enjoying lake and wants week to pass slowly.

- Sam, we got 3/4" of rain last night. Much needed.
- I got the National Park pass years ago. Free for Veterans.
- At least Flip keeps his homes longer than his cars. 😎

Time is flying by this week. Nice day on the boat this afternoon. The boys now went to drive around Sand Valley Golf Course in our town of Rome WI. Check it out online. It's weird imo. Jurassic park like. Expensive too. Bringing real estate prices up around here though big time. There's a beautiful home on the water for sale 3bd 2ba nothing crazy, @$750k with offer... They bought it in 2014 for $380k. It's like that here now. What used to be an affordable working class lake retreat area to buy in, not so much now...
DH will grill Burgers and Italian sausages for dinner. Fresh green beans and broccoli with soy sauce stir fried on the blackstone.
I may be fishing in a.m. with my neighbor Fred in, if he invites me lol.
Die hards are weird like that, they fish and hunt alone. Big secrets don't share where they are successful...baer. lol
I more want the free fishing lesson and social hour ha!

SGM - I got my Virginia pass a while ago and appreciate that perk! I'm elated to live vicariously through your treks on the trails and your magnificent photos! I still think you should print a coffee table book!
DW is still unconvinced that beach is the right choice. I'm not getting younger and looking for the "last stop" sooner than later. Waiting only takes away from the time we have to TRULY enjoy those perks of beach life. Downside - major airports 2 hour drive (BWI or Philly); health care options are likely not as broad as the DC region.
Last two days have been grueling at work. Upside, I get to stay hydrated while clicking the late night keyboard in the office.
