    Good morning!

A strong line of storms went through last night and completely missed us. I'll be watering this morning. We had rain less than 5 miles south, and rain less than 5 miles north, but it missed us completely. Sigh….

I have a bunch of stuff going on, yet I am still feeling out of balance. I am having a hard time figuring out exactly what is causing me to feel that way. I feel like I'm missing something "me" related like biking, or hiking, or something, but I can't put my finger on it. Part of me thinks it is simply not having things completed and clutter around me like in the garage. This coming week, I'm going to focus on getting things done that are nagging at me. We'll hope that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

We spent the day garage selling, yesterday. Sold most of the good stuff, but we'll be back out today. Kind of fun to talk to all the people, anyway.

    Break ….

I have been sitting here staring at the screen, trying to remember what I was going to say, but it is gone. I'll think of it right after I post reply. An age thing, I guess.

    Mornin' gents.

Made the mistake of eating too big of a breakfast and now feeling like a nap. Coffee to the rescue.

Bill, how did the Pods thing work out for you? I have a couple of big pieces of furniture in Florida I wanna move to CO.

You are a good husband to Rita, Dave. Happy wife, happy life. I would have wriggled out of the garage sale, I think. I hate haggling.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good Morning

Just finished the Women's Finals at Wimbledon. I spent a lot of time the week Heather was away watching Wimbledon. Might explain why I didn't get any of the big stuff done.

PODS was a mixed bag but was the best solution for us in the long run with our need to store everything with an uncertain timeline. We lived in townhouse community and the delivery pickup vehicle caused some issues when the scheduled to come on trash day and I had to change it. I was asssured they could place it more to one sider of our shared parking with the neighbor. Driver who came said no. He would only place it down the middle. We tied up our neighbors parking spot for longer than agreed upon. On the back end, because we live in a small community on the coast we had to wait since they only come out this way 2 days a week and didn't have a slot for two weeks. But that driver was great placed it to the side of our driveway with the roll up door oriented properly. If you only have a few pieces you might look at Uhaul UBox. Smaller, cheaper and more flexible. We did our overflow from the big POD in 2 of them which came on one trailer. It was a breeze. We also used local loader/Unloaders through the PODS referal which worked well.

Heather is home safe and sound and I am a happy man. She approved of the results of our investment in the yard. Funny story. The hall lights stopped working on Thursday night. My son and I shut down our electronics and methodically checked all the breakers and discussed the possibilities but to no avail. I planned on calling in an electrician for Monday. Heather was in the back of the house just after we got home and calls out "I fixed the lights". It seems there is a small slider on the side of the rocker switch which is a dimmer and somehow got slid all the way down. She slid it up and on came the lights. Don't know why you need a dimmer in the hall but I wiped the egg off my face and was grateful we didn't pay $100-$200 to watch an electrician do that. Wives, what would we do without them?
