Well moving on to the beginning of College Football and Labor Day weekend and the Holiday Monday. Is this a weekend for extra snacks! Maybe a cool one or Pizza and Football or Labor day and BBQ?
Do you tend to eat a little more on a weekend like this?

DW and I are definitely planning on BBQ Monday. Just haven't decided what type. Definitely no cool ones for me. Pork ribs or Boston Butt. most likely, we haven’t decided yet. We'll probably get some red potatoes and have some potato salad and maybe some cole slaw, and baked beans, and that should get us to Thanksgiving. Not sure yet about College Football but if we did it would include some buttered popcorn.

I tried not to let holidays and other events change my eating style too much. If we BBQ, it would still be pretty plain stuff (cooked on the Trager, which imparts a lot of flavor) without sauces and other things slathering it up. I'm not a big nacho fan, or other "sports" foods (wings, for example), so it's never been an issue of feeling like I'm missing out. Pizza remains a challenge for me, so we tend to buy frozen pizzas that can be cooked by the slice so I'm not tempted to simply devour a half a pie by myself.

Like Steve, the only food-focused holiday I celebrate would be Thanksgiving. I celebrate the date, but not with a food blowout. Might cook a burger on Monday, but more because it’s Monday and the points for better into my week. 🤷🏻♂️

For us, Labor Day is just another day. No get together, etc. to mess with our eating.
