@TeresaW2024 - I hope you have a better day with Joe. That sounds scary.

Here is a quick baked potato recipe I found. I like it because it's easy, but a bit more fun than plain baked potatoes:

Preheat oven to 400, put parchment paper on a baking sheet, drizzle with oil, sprinkle with salt. Cut potatoes in half lengthwise. Place the cut side down on the baking sheet. Spritz all sides of the potato with oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake at 400 for 30-40 min or until done.

I don't use much oil. The side that's on the pan browns/crisps nicely, and the inside is like a regular baked potato. I think you could do this in the air fryer.

    Hi 👋

Yesterday turned out to be a bad day. For some reason, I was having panic attacks and it felt like I was having a heart attack. I thought about going to the hospital, but I didn't because at that time I wasn't sure if I wasn't sure what I had going on. I'm glad I didn't go because I feel much better.

Today, I'm getting back on track.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    Exercise💦: “didn’t happen” this week😕

[My eating was good this week, BUT no exercising kept me from losing my "usual 1 - 1.5 lbs", when I stick to my food plan. Still, I'm very happy this was the second week in a row I was UNDER 200 lbs!

@trooworld - It's like you have a Christmas birthday in Sept. Except not, because only 1 person is stealing your birthday. :( I hope you had a good day off. Congrats on cracking 180! You are doing a lot of terrific and healthy things for yourself!

@trooworld - can I please have your Amish bread recipe?

@Veta2018 - your bread looks amazing. Can I come over?

@DrewsAnna - I hope you feel even better today

@baodell17724 - congrats on getting further into Onederland! You are doing a lot of terrific and healthy things for yourself too!

I went to the doctor for a routine visit and asked if I could try a lower dose on my blood pressure med- I took my home log to show her- it's come down with my weight loss. She said yes, so I'm excited about that. My A1C did not change, which was disappointing. It is "pre-diabetes" range. I've read some things about pre-diabetes and apparently it's sort of questionable science as there doesn't seem to be a strong conversion rate from pre-diabetes to diabetes. Determining this on one test alone is not great science either. (there are 3 different tests they can do- I've had two of them and the other is normal) So, I'm not going to worry about that. I'm doing everything I can do about it anyway.

Today we are celebrating DH and DD's birthdays. (today the D means Dear. I'll let you know if there's a ever a darn or a da*mn) The kids/boyfriend are coming over for dinner. I've made most of the food already. I even tried making my own croutons- they came out OK. We'll see what the vote is on if they were worth the time spent. I'm also making a lighter Caesar dressing with Greek yogurt. Since I've been off this week, I had some time to mess around with cooking, which I consider fun.

The couches came. We like them. Working on other parts of the living room now like a new rug, replacing the 20 year old end/coffee tables. I'm decorating challenged, so it will take me a bit. Spent extra time exercising this week- enjoyed that. Got some projects done that I haven't had time for- felt good. My house is clean, my dog is clean! Tomorrow is for relaxing, reading, etc. DS is coming over again to watch a football game.

I'm not looking forward to getting back to work on Monday.

    Weigh In day: Saturday

    Previous weight: 131.8

    Current weight: 132.8

    Maintenance Range: 127-133

I'm approaching my scream weight. A little too much indulgences on vacation have caught up to me. Time to get a bit more strict with myself.

@trooworld I hate that your birthday has to be overshadowed by your MIL and what she wants. Hopefully, you can still have a great time and feel celebrated. Your loss is great! You are putting on muscle with all your exercise, and I bet your measurements tell a better story than the scale about how great you are doing.🙂

@Cornada Thanks for your baked potato recipe. That sounds really easy and good. I’m sure it could be done in the air fryer. 🙂 That is great news about being able to lower your blood pressure medication. Just keep doing what you're doing, and your A1C will come down. I have a feeling that I’m also pre-diabetic, which is scary and a good reason to get it together! Happy birthday to your DH and DD! Did the croutons pass the test? I love new furniture! 🙂

Good morning! So, the Seroquel wasn’t the best idea! I gave Joe a dose on Thursday morning, as I was supposed to, and he proceeded to basically pass out in a dead sleep for most of the day. He lay slumped in his recliner and wouldn’t wake up no matter what I tried. I wanted him calm, not comatose! 😲 Then, yesterday, he was so weak that he spent the day in bed. I gave him an Ativan at 4 pm to calm him down and keep him in bed, which worked and put him in a very relaxed state where he just mumbled to himself for most of the evening. So both drugs have their purpose depending on what he needs. This morning, I managed to get him up and into his recliner, where he is now dozing with Maggie Mae in his lap. My plan to work out every day hasn’t materialized and I don’t know if it will right now. I'm just too tired, stressed, and constantly needing to watch him. Because of Joe’s sundowning, I’m going to start making our main meal at noon when he is at his best, which will help me too. I always do better with my weight loss if I can go to bed a little hungry. Anyway, sorry for this long ramble! Have a good day! 🙂

@DrewsAnna Prayers up for you let us know how you are when you get the chance, really sorry to hear you're in the hospital but glad you'll get answers soon.

@TeresaW2024 I hope you're able to find a medication that works well for Joe. He may become less tired in time on them.

@trooworld I hate you sharing your MIL's birthday and it basically being her celebration! Definitely have your husband do something special with you. I'm going to save that friendship bread I've been enjoying baking for the adoption events.

@marlalynns6304 Morpheus is absolutely beautiful! I'm sorry to hear he has cancer and hope he's able to beat it or live with it for a long time.

Hi gang! Sorry last weekend all the adoption events knocked me out. Had one today and no luck, all the kittens got sick in the middle of the week so I just took two. Friday's adoption event a volunteer picked up Star for a meet-and-greet with a couple who decided to adopt her plus a kitten from another rescue and plan to bring them all home on the same day to adjust together. I went to pick her up and they were shopping and were very excited to hear what toys to buy her and to learn all they could which was fun, really excited for her. They'll be picking her up Thursday after a trip they're going on so I get a little extra time with her. Garden club started again this morning, the president had said she wanted to talk to me after but I had to leave at break to get the kittens ready. I'd grown a couple plants to give her and debated on not giving them to her after the stuff about last year's sale but still did. Have a great Sunday.

@trooworld - thanks for the recipes! I saved them. Had some issues with my croutons- see below. Didn't think about DD and DH minding sharing their birthday…… They are 8 days apart, never had a shared celebration before. 🤔 Gus does NOT like baths. He throws himself on the floor and makes it very hard to pick him up to be put in the tub. I try to be sneaky about setting up the bath, but he always knows. 😂 Books: Here One Moment- Liane Moriarty- really enjoyed, Ninth House- Lee Bardugo- this one has spells, communication with dead people- liked the heroine, story really kept my attention. However, it's the beginning of a series, and I don't think I will read any more of them, currently reading In the Unlikely Event by Judy Blume- I didn't know she wrote some adult books and it's like a visit with an old friend to read her characters again. What are you reading? (besides what's in the pic)

@TeresaW2024 - no the croutons did not pass the test. 😥 I'm so sorry that things are tough with Joe right now. You are doing a lot and going through a lot right now. Please take care of yourself and don't stress if workouts don't happen.

@marialynns6304- beautiful kitty. 😓 about his health issues

@DrewsAnna - oh no! I hope you are OK!

@Katmary71 - I'm glad the kittens are getting adopted. Nice of you to gift those plants anyway

I tasted my croutons before I put them on the salad and they were stale. I made them 1 day ahead and they can be stored for 5 days. The salad dressing from the same website tasted like poopies so I didn't put it on the salad. It's in the fridge and I will taste it again today to see if time helped it. I had bottled Caesar and store bought croutons for back up. Dinner was nice, then we played games. Too much dessert this weekend, so I have some work to do this week. DS is coming over again today to watch a football game.

    Happy Sunday!

    Sunday, September 7

    SW(Starting Weight): 180 lbs.

    PW(Previous Weight): 134.4 lbs.

    CW(Current Weight): 133.4 lbs.

@Cornanda - I used to enjoy reading Judy Blume's books when I was younger. I think I might make "In The Unlikely Event" or "Summer Sisters" my next read. I just finished reading "Mean Little People" By Paige Dear. It's about a boy and the challenges he experiences as he grows up. I cried several times, while reading the story. It was one of those books I couldn't put down.

@marlalynns6304 - Morpheus is such a beautiful cat! I'm so sorry to hear he has cancer.

@DrewsAnna - You're in my prayers. I hope everything goes well and your back home soon.

@gemwolf110 - Congrats on the loss!

@trooworld - Wow!…look at your before and after pictures. You have such beautiful cheek bones.

My dog, Benny woke me up this morning, crying at the bedroom door. I got out of bed and down the hall to let him out to go potty. When, I turned around, he wasn't there. He crawled back up in the bed and took the warm spot I was laying in. He's so silly. He's been barks at us at night, I think he's trying to telling us it's time for bed too…lol.
