HOW IT ALL WORKS: The September challenge runs for four weeks, from August 31st - September 27th.
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leader board. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get September on the road! 😎

MY INTRODUCTION
Hi all! My name is Mica, and I'm a co-cappy, keeper of the weigh-in spreadsheet, for Mission Slimpossibles. I live in Dover New Hampshire with my boyfriend Rich and my fabulous cat Earl. I'm 69 years old, and I work 3 days a week as a bookkeeper in a plastics factory. I plan to retire in July 2026. I'm at my goal weight (range 127-133). I love bicycling and walking for exercise, and my hobbies are birding and crochet. I am trying to quit diet coke. I was doing pretty well for a while, but on my August vacation, I decided to allow myself one per day. I plan to continue having no more than one per day, and eventually back to zero.
I'm in the baseball cap and purple shirt; Rich is in the middle, and his sister Donna with the white hair:
And the fabulous Earl:

September feels like the start of a new year - probably from all those years of "back to school". For me, September is a great time to review my goals and plan for the months ahead.

MY INTRODUCTION
Hi all! Austin here. I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband, Eric, plus a small menagerie that includes indoor cats Piku and Habibi and 5 backyard chickens. My hobbies include managing a Scout troop's parent committee, working on a sci-fi/fantasy conference, and working on a science enrichment program for middle schoolers.
I follow University of Texas football, and am excited because my husband and I have tickets for the home football games this fall. We also have season tickets for the women's basketball team, and are looking forward to that! (For anyone who follows college football, yes, I know, Arch didn't get off to the best start yesterday. I love the team, though!)
My main physical activity is walking, but I have the aim of getting in more cycling this month. We will see how that goes! The reason for more cycling is that I tripped and smacked a knee week before last, and something's still not quite right. I also need to work on the landscaping, front and back, for our house, and shoudld be at work on that starting in a few weeks once it cools off a bit.
My weigh-in day is Monday. I was at 201.8 last Monday, down from 206.4 at the start of August. I am looking to (re)lose about 85 pounds.
Thanks for being here! I am looking forward to a great September!

My Introduction
My name is Sandy and I live in Copperas cove, Tx. with my DH John and our 2 fur babies Tigger (cat) and Diesel (dog). We have 2 children who are married with families of their own, giving us 5 grandsons. I am a retired correctional officer of 21 yrs. Life is pretty laid back here, maybe too laid back, OK BORING! I plan my day when I wake up, never know what kind of crazy I will get into. I am so grateful that the hot weather is almost behind us and I will be able to get out and start walking with Diesel again. It has been just to hot for his paws. I am ready to hit the hiking trails. We have one camping trip planned at the end of Sept. which is a bluegrass festival at a campground. Looking forward to that.
Here are a few pics of Tigger and DieselI posted this on Facebook a few days ago
I did not realize just how much of a difference 25 lbs made until I found these pics from a while back and then put on the same clothes. I have been on Wegovy for a little over 5 months. I am still on .5mg and will continue until I hit my goal as I am losing about a pound a week. Some weeks I stalled for a minute but all in all the .5mg is working. Yesterday I seen my cardiologist and we decided to stop taking my lisinopril as it was causing my blood pressure to drop to low and causing fatigue. Now my energy is better. I am looking forward to losing the next 20 lbs.I am looking forward to a great September with all of you amazing peeps.
