Mine arrives tomorrow @HorsesRock9999 and I can't wait to start it as well. I made a comment about something I read on the cover of the book, but I think I confused it with a different tv show and thought perhaps the author wrote both…will have to do more research…and withhold judgement!

Call me crazy, but we're not doing a book for August then?
I think for Nov/Dec, we should do the 3rd Wed. If we skip two whole months, my guess is we'll lose a lot of folks…we just started a monthly routine, why risk it? But it's your decision Nancy.
I'm looking forward to starting my book on Saturday once it arrives in the mail. Going to start looking for my choice for Historical Fiction. I've got a couple of ideas, but need time to research them. Thanks for all you're doing, Nancy. My friend, Terry, is looking forward to picking up the book this weekend.

@jessicakrall8 yes I agree with you regarding November and December.
And yes, we’re skipping August; I don’t think there was enough time for everyone to get their hands on the book and read. But now that we have a scheduled meeting day, that shouldn’t be a problem going forward.
I can confirm the 3rd week of Nov and Dec with everyone when we meet in September.2 -

Just received my book in the mail and starting it. My confusion was in thinking Big Little Lies was Pretty Little Liars, which I hated. I'm not familiar with Big Little Lies at all. Looking forward to the book.

Wonderful seeing some of you last night! Here are some important dates for you to note:
Next book club meeting: October 22, 7:30 pm. We will be discussing The First Witch of Boston.
Our November meeting will be Wednesday, November 19 (the 4th Wednesday conflicts with Thanksgiving): genre will be RomCom.Our December meeting will be Wednesday, December 17 (as the following week is Christmas): genre will be Biography.
Please start thinking of titles you’d like to suggest for November/December!4 -

All you have to do is reply to this post by choosing one number between 1 and 100 (my trusty husband has written the secret number down). Thanks so much for post on Downsizers. This book club sounds fun. I’m across Alligator Alley in Port Charlotte. I lived/taught in Ft Lauderdale for 30 years. Retired in December & am loving it 😁.
