Weigh-ins due through tomorrow!
@MaddawgMadsen (if you are sticking with Thursdays?)

Oh yay! I finally got back in here! It was telling me community wasn't available for a few days.
I'm Kristi 43, I live in Washington state. I'm married with 3 kids and the kids are busy with sports right now. I work part time as a school occupational therapist.
I restarted my weight loss journey in May and Im getting close to the 30lb mark. It's time of the month so not sure the water weight will be off by tomorrow's weigh in.
I'm doing a 6 week challenge with my weight loss coach. It's pretty competitive, so I need a perfect score to win a share of the prize money. I'm 2 and a half weeks in and I still have a perfect score. I just need to workout still tonight. I don't want to but I will anyways.

@YinxFed how exciting to know your son and his wife will be visiting soon. It will be hard not to count down the days!
@Gidgitgoescrzy oh my goodness that is STRESSFUL! It seems like you're coping well but I would be so peeved if my boss did something like that and expected me to fix it. Oof. On the plus side you're doing so well and it's been inspiring!
@maddawgmadsen it's a bummer you're not feeling well. Working with a migraine is awful. Hopefully you're feeling better before your bowling tournament.
@conleywoods that competition seems really motivating! How awesome to have so much support and encouragement.
Some things went well today and other things could've been better. I had a kinda big breakfast so I got an Avocolada smoothie from Tropical Smoothie cafe with protein powder added to serve as my lunch. I felt good about choosing a smoothie with veggies and a decent amount t of protein, but after I started drinking it I realized I forgot to ask for no sugar added 🙃 those smoothies have sooo much sugar anyway, it seems excessive to add sugar imo. Anyway, I limited myself to half the smoothie to limit my sugar intake.
I did go for a short walk today. I tried doing some weights at home but didn't last long. I was tired from poor sleep and had a stressful day at work so was emotionally drained as well. I hoped that if I got started doing weights it would motivate me to keep going, but it didn't.
I had a bit of a sweets craving so I chose half of a homemade protein muffin instead of one of the Little Debbie's my mom left here when she babysat the kids. I'm proud of myself for not giving in to the desire to stress eat. I've asked my mom countless times not to leave stuff like that here but she does it anyway 😒 oh well, more opportunity to practice coping with cravings i suppose.

So all things considering, on monday the scale said 157 after a particularly bad weekend, I am very happy, week 1 in the green … Done…
In regards to the Bonus thing, to me that wasn't really a big deal, it was only a few hours and it was an honest mistake, I personally found it kinda funny. I think that is why they ask me to do those type of bad news things, is because they know I don't let that type of stuff get to me, I think I am one of the only people in the office who will admit to making mistakes, everyone else wants to blame someone else, and *kitten* and moan, and I'm just like, ooops I'll fix it and move on… I was not always that way, it's a new thing, I used to care alot more, take everything personally and expected perfection.
Anyway, yesterday was good, I did not meet my step count, because it was stretch day, so yoga doesn't give very many steps. But food was good. Husband comes home tonight so this becomes the hard part. I did take some chicken out, and I bought peppers, I had the intention of making fajitas, but I think instead I will make a casserole of some sort, I'm thinking chicken, peppers and rice. Or I might make some chicken enchilada soup, but I am not sure it's cool enough for that yet.
Have a wonderful day !

Darn! I was hoping to get the extra water weight off. Almost made it!

@ashleycarole86 Great weigh in this week!
@Gidgitgoescrazy Hooray for your awesome weigh in too. I know you were pretty mad at your scale earlier in the week.
@YinxFed How fun to have your kids come for a visit! That will be so fun!
@jguldi11 That's so frustrating when you order food and think you did so good, just to realize you forgot to ask for less sugar.
I'm so glad it's the weekend. Work has been fine but the kids sports schedule has been extra busy. It just feels like a lot of running around 🤪 I know these days won't last forever.

Ooh enchilada soup sounds yummy @Gidgitgoescrzy, we had chili for dinner a couple days ago, it was a bit warm out but I'm in the mood for fall soups and stews! The next few days are going to be in the mid - upper 80s here though 🙃 I should be enjoying it, I know in a couple of months I'll wish for this weather.
@conleywoods wow that was so close! I'm sure next week you'll see that extra water weight has gone. Hopefully you're getting to relax this weekend.
@micki48 lol I've been there before 😂 time for a haircut? Kidding haha 😄
I had an anxious and stressful few days this week, work stuff. I managed not to turn to emotional eating which is great, but my activity has been looooow. I'm starting to feel more like myself now and hoping to get more movement in. My brother, SIL and their 2 kids are coming over soon to have dinner and play games. It's been a while since we've had a visit like this so I'm really looking forward to it. I have jambalaya planned for dinner and my SIL is bringing brownies. I'm only going to eat 1... there now I'm committed so I have to stick to it 😂
@mkksemail I haven't filled my October bingo card task list yet but it's on my to do list!

Greetings Friends,
So, it's Saturday, 4th October and I'm going to dive right into a new Bingo card for OCTOBER. I'm still discovering different aspects that really help me. For instance, it was only last week that I came across the section where I can add my steps. Bravo MK! @mkksemail
I've been chilling today and Ben and I have just come back from dinner. We went to a new local restaurant and were very impressed with the service (well-trained, polite staff), food, price and atmosphere (it was a converted chapel) with low-volume music. On the way to dinner, we dropped a bottle of wine off at our accountant (just left it outside his office door with a card) as a small thank you gift as he'd been really helpful when I was just about to pull my hair out with frustration over a tax matter.
Nevertheless, I made decent(ish) choices at dinner - chicken liver parfait to start and pan-fried sea bass with baby potatoes and shredded cabbage. No dessert. But I did have a gin and tonic.

Greetings friends, and happy weekend!
Speaking of bingo cards, I've failed to execute on mine @mkksemail . Very well organized and well put together and appreciate all your effort and glad for teammates that are enjoying it. I don't know why I can't seem to make time for it, but I'm giving myself grace to not allow it to stress me out.
We took our cats to the vet this morning for vaccinations as we have to board them for the first time ever while we go on our trip to London on Thursday. We are going to see Simply Red at the O2 theatre.. this is years in the making! Can't believe it's finally here. Our sweet dog will fly the first leg with us to Calgary and stay with her honorary grandmother/best friend for the time that we're gone.
Thanks @conleywoods .. I have felt pretty in control of my food this week for the first time in a long time, it's nice.

Whew! This week flew by! Today was a beautiful fall day. We went to the park for a little bit. Got some ice cream and went to some stores. Trying to decide on a light dinner.

@lauren_989 the week really did fly by! Your day sounds lovely.
@ashleycarole86 oooh enjoy London! It's on my bucket list to visit someday.
@YinxFed I'm intrigued, what does a chicken liver parfait consist of? The only parfait I'm familiar with has yogurt, fruit, and granola. Very different from chicken liver 😆
All things considered I feel pretty good about today. I did have 1.5 brownies instead of just 1, and made sure that all of the leftover brownies went home with my brother and SIL. We enjoyed each other's company and played cards after dinner. Our visits are a little different now that we all have kids (they have a son and daughter a few months younger than our kids) but tonight was the first time we were able to play cards while the kids entertained themselves in the next room. It only lasted a short while before 3 of the 4 kids wanted to join us but it was nice nonetheless.
