Hello Shape Shifters. I had a very busy day with some errands as well. Of course it started with a walk. I checked the weather before I left and there was rain coming in 30 minutes so I walked in my rain poncho. I was out for 72 minutes and there wasn't a single drop of rain! Wore the thing for nothing and got all gross and sweaty under it, boo. I did a load of laundry, read some and then it was time for the gym before lunch. I did my cardio workout which was also very sweaty. After my workout I quickly stopped by the pet store that is almost next to the gym. They had some cat treats on sale and I still had a few euros left on a gift card so I got a couple of very cheap liquid snacks for Tinus.

Then it was home, shower, lunch and go out again to get some groceries and pick up a package with new vitamins. I planned to get the groceries after my walk, but I didn't trust myself to go to the store hungry, lol, so after lunch was better. I woke up with a bit of a sore throat this morning and I intended to get something for it when I picked up my package, but it slipped my mind. I almost didn't go out again for the 4th time, but that would have just be silly, the store is only 3 minutes biking away and if it does get worse, I would regret not getting something. I took one tablet and it isn't doing a whole lot yet, so I think I will take another before bed. Hopefully it will be nothing, I seriously can't remember the last time I got a cold or the flu; for sure over 15 years ago. Anyway, it was a good but busy day. Good night 🌙

Hey y'all!! Happy Friday!!! Never BEEN so glad to see the weekend! I'm getting back to my usual self, but am SO TIRED OF COUGHING up CRUD!! I know, I have to expel it, but it still makes me feel gross. ANYWHO, I am relaxing and reading this weekend…what's up for your weekend?! I'm trying not to spend any money…had to pay some big bills this month so trying to be responsible….(NO FUN!) LOL

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and the weather is nice where you are…oh yeah…forgot to tell you…it got down in the mid 50s last night…Betty woke me up this morning with cold paws because I turned off the air conditioning for the night but failed to turn on the heat…we will chilled to say the least. I turned on the heat, but was no need…only got up to 70 here today. Beautiful day though, with lots of sunshine!

    Thursday outdoor walk

I stayed on the road because mud and wet leaves can be slippery, the moose rut is on and the be ‘Bear Aware’ campaign is in full swing🤷‍♀️

It got up to 50F/10C and partially sunny by late afternoon when I took my walk.

    75 Hard — Day 1

    • Diet: I finally got 5 servings of fruit and vegetables by making a smoothie!
    • Exercise: We went sculling on the Occoquan River this morning. It was gorgeous! The air temperature was perfect and it was sunny but not hot. The water was as still as glass and there was no debris to avoid. Later, I ran a little over four miles and did abdominal exercises with my son.
    • Alcohol: No alcohol
    • Reading: Read 10 pages
    • Water: I drank 80 ounces of water but I counted my tea as part of the calculation.

We had to wait a few minutes for boats to return to the dock but our group of rowers launched a little before 9:00 am and finished anout 10:30 am. I got some work meetings and calls done but I still have some work to complete tomorrow. It’s good to have Day 1 behind me after a couple of false starts, but I think that’s what habit-building looks like. 🤷‍♀️

Art on the AvenueArt on the Avenue@Grandma16grandkids – nice adjustments! I hope your headaches easy. You’ll probably feel a renewed energy once you make it through the withdrawal period but it’s hard work. Hang in there!

    @jessicakrall8 - Enjoy your book!

Tomorrow, there is a local multicultural art and music festival in our neighborhood called Art on the Avenue. On Sunday, my husband and I are going to our friends’ lake house, about two hours south of here. I have soccer later that night, and my husband is leaving for a business trip the next day so we’ll probably only stay a little past lunch and then drive back home.

    Day 3 of 75 Hard

    • Diet: stayed on track
    • Workouts: 1st was a 45 min outdoor walk. 2nd was another 45 min outdoor walk.
    • Water: easily got my half gallon plus some.
    • Reading (any book): Read a lot, finished my book.

On the one hand, I am pushing myself to do 2 walks. So that's good. On the other hand, I should be doing more than just walking. My husband was out last night so I wasn't able to get to the gym (had to stay home with kid). That makes a total of once this week. Eeeek. That's not good. Especially with my half marathon coming up in 3 weeks. I need to I'm stop making excuses and start pushing a bit harder. At least I was able to finish my book last night.

Hello Shape Shifters. Woke up this morning with my throat feeling less sore which was good. There was a storm blowing this way and the morning was incredibly wet. At least this time wearing my rain poncho was not wasted I guess! It wasn't very cold or windy yet when I went for my walk so I still enjoyed myself. I had to order a new bodywarmer since I discovered my zipper broke when I put it on for my walk, I think it happened in the laundry. Thankfully I get mine from Decathlon and it is pretty cheap. I wear that thing nearly every day so I am glad to get a new one on Monday.

I normally go the gym on Saturday and have Friday off, but I decided to swap days in case the storm was bad. The wind did pick up a lot later in the day and I was happy I didn't need to leave the house again. Instead I used my walking pad while watching a hiking video. A fun video helps, but I still find it a pretty boring workout so I am glad I only 'have' to do this twice a week. I did the dishes and otherwise just relaxed with Tinus and some games. Good night 🌙

@jessicakrall8 & @frankwbrown forgot to say I’m out of town visiting with grandkids to see them play sports. No weigh in today and will catch up on my 75 medium challenge on Monday. Hopefully I can do it, but probably not able to get workout in on Sunday, but will try.

@frankwbrown i just know you’ll know the answer to this question: how do I post a video I took on my iPhone into our community chat? I keep getting the “unsupported file” error. Thanks for your help!😊

Unless I'm mistaken, MFP does not support posting videos in chat.

As a workaround, you could post your video elsewhere, and post a link to that video in the chat.

That other place could be YouTube. Or you could upload the video to iCloud and post a link to it here.

I have an Android phone, so instead of Apple iCloud, I have Google drive. Here's a link to a video I have on my Google Photos account. But formatting the URL as a "link" doesn't work — photos.google.com disallows it. So accessing it requires copying/pasting the URL manually.

    https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipNt0UECkg6zbtwoj-511Z1c23oJ9gUJ2vo3oogx

I don't know whether this would be the case for an iCloud URL.

This one works. I used the Insert Media icon which gave me an error but gave the option to Display as Text. That converted it to a hyperlink.

Hi, just trying an experiment to see if I can upload a video. I’m hoping to eventually record myself teaching Zumba, but for now…only in Florida 😂
