@jguldi11 I have been snacky as well the past few days. Looking back, I didn't meet my water goal. How has your water intake been? Increasing water can also help with bloating.

Well, I am starting to feel better after not feeling great for a few days. Time to slowly increase my activity again. Hoping to go the gym today.

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends in Canada! 🍁

@conleywoods great job talking to your husband! That's a smart way to help with your cravings as well! 🎉

@micki48 Thank you, and you are absolutely correct, I have not been getting enough protien. I tend to not eat very much at all when the husband is away. So I went to costco this weekend and got some of those little chicken packs. They are pretty good, I am really picky about chicken, but I am typically happy with 75% of the pieces. LOL They are supper easy to throw on a salad. I also made ground turkey taco meat, so I can have that for dinners this week.

I did well over the weekend, I did not exercise, but I did alot of organizing and cleaning. We are finally done the kitchen aside from 4 handles and one piece of scribe molding that we were short. So I am really happy about that. I will share the before after soon.

I feel like I did really well with food this weekend, I didn't snack at all. I made yummy dinners, Friday we got Chipotle and I didn't get chips, just a rice bowl. Saturday I did have an uncrustable for lunch so that wasn't great, but I was busy and in a mood to get stuff done, so I didn't want to stop. For dinner I made steak, mashed potatos and roasted broccoli. Sunday was Grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch during the game, then I made pork chops with roasted green beans and sauteed apples.

My one small change this week is to not let a bump derail me, if I don't meet my daily goal or I eat a snack I am not going to let it give me an excuse to blow the whole day. So I am going to not only take it day, by day, but minute my minute. I am also going to remember that this is not a punishment, this is a good thing for my health!

Okay, I have sales taxes to pay.. Have a great day !

    @ashleycarole86 - Wednesday, October 8 - 6,454 steps (8ish hours in the car)

    Thursday, October 9 - 3,296 steps

Friday, October 10 - 8,199 steps (2 hours of top golf… not sure if that counts, but I hit A LOT of balls)

Saturday, October 11 - 2,574 steps (8ish hours in the car)

    Sunday, October 12 - 4,116 steps (30 minutes helping a friend move)

My steps haven't been great. But, I am finally done with all of the really long car travels. The only down side is I really don't feel well. I hope I didn't catch anything, but think that maybe I did because my whole digestive system is out of whack.

Welcome to a marvellous Monday everyone.

    PW 118.6kg (264.4lbs)

    CW 117.3kg (258.6lbs)

I feel a little bad as I have had a good week. Bad foods in small quantities, regular exercise, and got a few jobs completed at home (the media wall looks good). I'll take the positive as we know it doesn't go like this every week; just as we know bad weeks don't have to mean bad months.

Every step forward is a good step 😀

Today was a good day at work. Got in a 20 minute walk during lunch. It's starting to get dark earlier at night here…one thing I dislike about the fall. I am sore from yesterday's workout, so didn't get too much other movement in today. About to crochet a little more!

@Gidgitgoescrzy I love your reflection and small change!

    HHappy Monday!

@Gidgitgoescrzy Sounds like you had a great weekend with lots of great food!

@strong_fit_ells Great job on a loss this week!

@TheMrWobbly Great weigh in for you as well!

@lauren_989 I find lunch break walks so helpful. I'm sad it's getting dark so much earlier now.

Today was pretty good. I was able to get some solid sleep and that makes such a big difference for me. I did great with my macros today! When I got home my husband and I did about 45 minutes of nordic walking. Such a good workout. It was cold and windy and we had a few trees down on the property. Once we got back to the house the sun came out and I had a pot of hot coffee waiting for us. Stayed outside a little longer. Made dinner and lifted weights. Now I'm relaxing and latter I'll sit in the sauna.

@conleywoods I had to look up Nordic walking, I don't think I've heard that term before. It looks interesting though, looks kinda like using an elliptical? The sauna must be lovely.

@lauren_989 hmm I'll have to pay better attention to my water intake, I usually drink a lot of water most days, it's usually all I drink other than an occasional cup of tea or coffee.

@Gidgitgoescrzy that's a great mindset to have, we only have control of this moment!

Lots of great weigh ins this week! Great job team 👏

My family had a birthday gathering today, we get together almost every month for a birthday or holiday of some sort and there's always too much food. I've been doing ok with keeping my portions in check but I would like to do better at limiting desserts at these gatherings. It would be one thing if it was once or twice a year but I can't afford to overindulge every month. They're a bunch of enablers so that adds to the challenge 😅

Yesterday I took the kids to a local apple orchard/pumpkin farm, we went on a hay ride, pet some goats, and enjoyed lots of sunshine. I met my step goal which I'm happy about. Today was a very busy day but not as active. I had my annual physical appt and overall my PCP is happy with my health and weight loss. We talked about my high fasting glucose, it's likely due to PCOS / insulin resistance and she said if I want she could prescribe a couple of meds to help. I want to try to make some changes to my diet and exercise first and check again in a few months. Ultimately I need to lower my carb intake some, not as low as keto but more like a diabetic friendly diet. My problem is when I go lower carb I feel so hungry, it's really frustrating. It doesn't matter how much protein and fat I eat or water I drink I still feel ravenous when I lower my carbs. I'm guessing that's something I'll get used to though if I stick it out for a bit. Anyone have experience with that?

I hope the sun is shining with you all 🌞

I'm not sure if we count steps to a Saturday or a Sunday so I'll give both

    10th 16,005; 11th 15,192; 12th 16,735.

There is no such thing as bad week @lauren_989 just a base to improve from. I was told to walk a mile a day and if I miss a day, not to worry, add it to the next day. So if I walk 644 miles tomorrow I am back on plan!

Good to see Uncle David is on the mend @strong_fit_ells

Plenty of unofficial exercise. The media wall is up and just needs some finishing. I have a friend moving a boiler today so it will be kitchen cupboard fitting tomorrow.

I have to say it is really good to be back with you all. It makes me smile just to be here and know we will support each other all the way x

Okay so here is my new kitchen, the husband did everything except the quartz countertops, the entire thing was gutted to the studs. It took 4 months, aside from the island which took us some time to actually decide what we wanted, it changed alot, that was just finished this past weekend The island top is not what I originally envisioned, but we weren't sure about the size of the overhang and wanted to live with it for a bit before we paid for a custom solid top. Anyway, I am absolutely in love with how it turned out. From the before, which as you can tell is the 1st picture (it was really messy but it's the only pic I had, I took it last second on our way to see the cabinet people) - WHEW, what a change !

@Gidgitgoescrzy - I LOVE how you combined the looks of stone, wood, and tile. It's perfect! And, that island is amazing! The chevron pattern works.

@Gidgitgoescrzy Oh my gosh! Your kitchen is AMAZING!!! The room looks so much bigger. Seriously doesn't even look like the same place. Your materials are in beautiful harmony with each other.

@jguldi11 Great weigh in! I ended up lower my carbs but not a ton and I really noticed a difference with weight loss. I went from about 130 g of carbs a day to 99. Some days I want more, but usually I do okay. I'm also basically sugar free and that helps with cravings for me at least. I try to avoid super refined carbs too. I also have the option with my coach to eat 20% more on days I'm hungrier. Sometimes just knowing I could eat 20g more carbs is all I need to keep me going.

I've gotten some great tips from this ladies Instagram too. She's a registered dietician who focuses on insulin resistance and using glucose monitors. She is selling her expensive course so just FYI, you'll hear about it on quite a few posts😉 Not sure why it won't let me post an actual link so you'll have to copy and paste or Google Emily Cornelius Instagram.

@TheMrWobbly your comment about walking 644 miles to get back on plan made me laugh 😆 I like what you said about no bad weeks, letting go of guilt tends to have a positive effect on motivation.

@Gidgitgoescrzy wow your kitchen is beautiful! I bet it makes cooking more enjoyable.

Today went well, stayed on track with food and took the kids for a walk to help meet my step goal. I had a slight headache after work so I decided to see if going for a walk and getting fresh air would help, and it did! It was a nice fall evening, the sky looked like a beautiful painting, the air was crisp and cool, and the scent of the cornfield was nostalgic. I've been trying to get outside more the last week or 2 and it really does improve my mood, which in turn helps me to stay on track.

I hope everyone else had an enjoyable evening as well!

So the past 2 days haven't been great, I've been a little stressed and anxious about some health stuff. I am ready to make today a better day, I got up and exercised this morning, just a 10 min Low impact aerobics video, but it's nice to get that burst of endorphins so early in the morning, as Elle Woods says" Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands"

@TheMrWobbly That made me laugh out loud, "644 miles to get back on plan" I needed that thank you.

@jguldi11 I agree 100% being outside really does improve your mood.

Okay off to make good choices and be a productive member of society…

    Have a great day !

    What a beautiful day here.

    Completed C25k Wk6 Run1. Onwards very slowly.

Love the kitchen @Gidgitgoescrzy and "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands" had me in stiches, then slightly concerned about the lack of exercise from my better half 🤔

@Gidgitgoescrzy beautuful kitchen! So worth the effort. Your husband did an amazing job!

    And I love that movie!

@jguldi11 cutting carbs/sugars definitely makes me hungry at first. It takes about a week, but then I level out again.
