    @Sleepygirl79 Congrats on the loss !

    @DrewsAnna Looks like your birthday was fun . I love your Halloween sweater!

    Hi all. I went to the coffee shop while my husband was at the gym. I made a piece of art which I ended up being pretty happy with: it's based on an ancient mosaic of a dog, and I called it "Doggus Interruptus." When I got home, I made another piece for a friend for Christmas based on a photo she sent me. It's called "Pandamonium": she just got back from a trip to China, where she went to a giant panda sanctuary. Both pieces have a metallic sheen to the background, but it doesn't show up on the scans I made. I also did some food prep: I made air-fried baked potatoes, sloppy joes, and instant pot shredded chicken breast. After I did all of this, I found a group exhibit to submit two of my pieces to for December. There is no jury for the show, which means nobody picks out the art; you just pay a fee and sign up. So, I did that for two pieces. It was a very productive day.

    @trooworld Oh, I am so sorry that your back issues are from a degenerative spine disorder! That really sucks that there is nothing you can do about it. ☹️Love the new art!! I know they must look so much more impressive in person with the metallic sheen. You were very productive! 😁

    Good morning! Today would have been Joe and my 15th wedding anniversary. I cried much of the day yesterday, which is to be expected. I miss him more than I can put into words, and just feel so empty inside. But I have to move forward, and I will. Today, I will do a good, long workout and organize my week. Have a good day! 🙂

    Hi 👋

    Lol… I made it to the leader board. I totally didn't expect to see that.

    I didn't work on my habits yesterday, but today is a brand new day.

    I finished all my antibiotics and breztri inhaler and prednisone. I'm so thankful, all that steroid stuff just makes me feel very jittery and I can't keep a train of thought for anything.

    Yesterday was family day, it was a lot of fun. I took the candy corn with me and left it there.

    From now on, I have to enter on the grocery side of the store instead of the seasonal side.

    That's about all I have for now. Y'all have a great day 😀

    @TeresaW2024 Thank you ! I looked into it a bit further and there ARE things that can be done, so all is not lost if I get desperate! Thank you, I appreciate it! I'm sure yesterday was very rough. Joe would want you to be happy, and I know you will work towards getting back to that.

    @bobboyardee Good job , Drew! You are doing awesome!

    @AustinRuadhain Sorry it's been a rough month . I hope next week is better for you! You got this.

    @Cornanda Thank you !

    @vegan4lyfe2012 I got your beautiful card ! You, my friend, are AMAZING! I can't believe you made that card, it's wonderful! Thank you so much!

    Hi all. On Instagram, I sold the painting that I was supposed to drop off for a show this Sunday (it was the painting of the owl reading a book), so last night, I started working on a replacement painting: a giant panda dressed as the Godfather. We'll see how that one goes. I have been tracking now for 51 days in a row. My sleep has been poor lately; I'm sleeping lightly and waking up early. My water intake is still on the lower side. I am going to try to "trick" myself by adding zero-calorie water flavorings to my water.

    Water intake yesterday: 48 oz

    DISCUSSION QUESTION: What type of exercise gives you the biggest energy boost afterward?

  • TeresaW2024
    TeresaW2024 Posts: 605 Member

    @AustinRuadhain I’m sorry you have been struggling this month. I’m with you on wanting a reset and a new month.😕

    @Cornada, Thank you so very much for your prayers. I remind God every day that His Word says that he is close to the brokenhearted. And thankfully, he has been.🙂

    @trooworld OK, that is good news that your back issues might have a solution. Hopefully, you will start feeling better and won’t have to take drastic measures. Congrats on selling a piece of your art. Can’t wait to see a picture of the giant panda dressed up as the Godfather! 😀 I’ve been really lazy about my water intake too and have been trying to make myself drink more.

    Good morning! After two days of crying and feeling so sad, I’ve decided to pull it together and be more productive today. I did manage to figure out what I’m going to say at Joe’s celebration of life this Saturday, which will help my emotions. The two possible shirts I ordered from Amazon for the service are late and might not show up at all. Sometimes Amazon is the worst!! 😡 I’m off to work out and see what muscles will be affected today. 🙂

    DISCUSSION QUESTION: What type of exercise gives you the biggest energy boost afterward?
    For sure, jumping on my rebounder is the best way to boost my energy and get my heart rate up. I’m trying to get into the habit of using it a few times a day and jumping for a minute or two. I think it’s helping my body feel better from all the sitting I do all day.

    @trooworld - I love your ghost book marker. It is so cool. We have a poke bowl near us. I haven't ate there yet. Is there anything you would recommend? I love the new art work too. I hope you're back is starting to feel better. Do you have any stretch you can do to help relieve some of the pain? Congrats on selling one of your paintings. I can't wait to see your giant panda. You are so talented.

    @TeresaW2024 - I used to have a recording of my husbands laugh that a friend sent me on Facebook. I also used to send him messages on Facebook. Then, Facebook changed and came out with messanger and I lost it all. So I deleted my account and never used Facebook again. Hugs to you.

    @bobboyardee - Keep it up! One week down. You can do it!

    @micaroo4 - I enjoy your morning inspirational quotes. I used to have a different quote for every morning. I don't know why I stopped. I think it helps with keeping a positive outlook.

    DISCUSSION QUESTION: What type of exercise gives you the biggest energy boost afterward?

    I would have to say kickboxing. I feel like a bad *kitten* when I'm done. Lol

    I guess I can't use that word. "Bull dog" fits better than kitten. Lol

    Hi 👋

    I did pretty good yesterday as far as my habits go. I didn't get very active, though. My stomach was upset, bloated and hard. It was really hurting. I know it was from what I ate on Sunday and that I ate way too much. I babied my tummy and ate small amounts of foods that helped me "use" the bathroom. I feel much better today.

    I have a dr appt today and some costco shopping.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    @TeresaW2024 – More hugs and prayers.
    @bobboyardee – Nice new streak going!
    @AustinRuadhain – Don’t wait until November 1st – reset TODAY!

    I had a great weekend that went by way too fast. Sunday morning we (my mom and I) drove down to my son’s to attend church with them as little Amelia was being dedicated. Got back just before 6pm and Hunter had already messaged asking if I wanted to go see Black Phone 2. Of course, I did! Hahaha! I think I liked it better than the first one.

    I am looking forward to taking next week off. I’ll still have Oliver when Syd works nights, but at least I’ll have all my days free. I saw my therapist yesterday and we worked through another boundary – Google Maps Location Sharing. I will be turning it off sometime this week. I don’t plan on telling my girls that I’m taking the week off. Syd isn’t a problem – she respects my time and always asks before coming over. Unlike Hunter, who will just show up if she knows I’m home, disrupting whatever activity I might be involved in. (deep breath) I can do this! And I will NOT feel guilty!

    The doctor put me on a very strong antibiotic for 14 days and gave me an Rx for an anti-nausea pill. I opened the anti-nausea box and there were supposed to be 3 blister packs (10 pills each) that would get me completely through the antibiotic treatment with one day left over. Guess what…there was only 1 blister pack in the box. I called the pharmacy and now I have to bring the box back AND GO INSIDE for them to do whatever they plan to do to verify. I told my girls if they don’t give me the other 2 blister packs, I’m gonna go ghetto. Syd laughed and said it’s been a long time since she’s seen/heard me like that. Don’t test me, pharmacy staff. Y’all been sucking for a while now. Pray for me, guys!

    The company HJM Bike corporation wants to settle out of court. But so far, we have not been able to get a reply back, just got a notice she's out of the office until Wednesday. It will be good to have that Trike out of the driveway. I can't wait to hear about the settlement offer.

    The weather is nice here and I went out and sprayed Palm Tree killer on the seedlings. It's a two-part mix, one dissolves the wax on the leaves so the killer can do its job. Hopefully it takes care of the problem. There are so many seedlings that it would be a forest if they all grew up.

    I'm still working on my contest room, there's a huge space that I need to fill in with something, and I can't decide what to do there.

    @DrewsAnna – Happy Belated Birthday!!!

    @vegan4lyfe2012 - I received my wicked Halloween card in the mail today! Love it! Thank you very much! You and @trooworld give me an urge to get crafty. I used to do some drawing and scrap booking. It's been a long time thou. I bought a couple stamp kits, when we went to the Covered Bridge Festival, last week. Maybe, I'll start a little scrap book of my grandson…hehehe.

    @TeresaW2024 Yes , I hope not. Thank you! Thanks for your support. Water intake is so important...and has always been my downfall! I'm glad you were able to figure out what you are going to say. I know what you have to say will be wonderful and a nice tribute to your dear Joe. Amazon! It always seems like the things you order from there that you need the most are always late! I'm sorry, I hope they come. They've been unreliable for me lately a LOT. Good job with the workout!

    @Veta2018 Thank you ! I like to get a poke bowl with: mixed lettuce instead of rice, 2 scoops of salmon, 1 scoop of spicy tuna, and then the fixings they offer (all but ginger and jalapenos), and I get a couple of the sauces. If you like sushi, you will most likely like it. I love it! Thank you, I appreciate your support for my art (and other things!)! My back is starting to feel better. What helps my back the most is a heating pad. The cat/cow yoga stretch helps, too! How are you doing? I love that you do kickboxing...that seems like a bad@ss thing to do ! :) I can't wait to hear/see about your crafting! Yay!

    @DrewsAnna I'm glad you are feeling better now .

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Thank you so much ! I don't like my card, I LOVE it! :) My weekend went by too fast as well. I'm glad you had a nice weekend. Awww, what great pictures! Thanks for sharing. That's great you have next week off. Do NOT feel guilty...you deserve some time to yourself! Good luck with the pharmacy visit.

    @FushiaKat I'm glad you will get some sort of resolution for the Trike . Good luck with your contest room!

    @bobboyardee Great job , keep it up!

    DISCUSSION QUESTION: What type of exercise gives you the biggest energy boost afterward? I think cardio exercises give me the most boost. Really, any exercising is invigorating.

    Hi all. I did better with my water yesterday: 72 oz. The water flavoring helped. I didn't feel like cooking last night, so I had leftover sloppy joes from Sunday night. I'll have to cook tonight. I already have baked potatoes, I think I will cook some bacon and add some cheese and call it dinner. I feel like I slept better last night and my watch agrees with me: I got an EXCELLENT (89) score. I very rarely get those! In my morning protein smoothie, I switched from oat milk to FairLife 2% milk: it has a lot more protein than oat milk...oat milk: 4 oz has 0.9 g of protein. FairLife: 4 oz has 6.1 g of protein.

    Water intake yesterday: 72 oz

    @Veta2018 I’m so sorry that you lost those precious messages from your husband. ☹️ Just a couple of days ago, I found an old video that I had saved on Facebook of my husband giving our little dog a birthday present. It’s from years ago, when he was in his right mind. It’s mostly a video of the dog, but I catch a glimpse of his face and hear his voice. I’ve watched it a dozen times already. 🙂

    @vegan4lyfe2012 I got my adorable card yesterday. I love it and thank you very much!! ♥️ How sweet those little girls are! Oh, you totally need to take your week off and enjoy YOU!! Hunter needs to know boundaries, even if you do it in secret. No guilt for you!! And you get those drugs! Show no mercy!!! 😀

    @bobboyardee I could use a $100. Just saying! 😉😄

    @troworld Well, my shirts showed up yesterday, and I don’t really like either one. I have two more coming today, and I might run over to Belk (a local department store) to check out their stuff one more time. You know this would be easier if I weren’t so fat! 🙄 I made loaded baked potatoes last week, and it was so good! Switching to Fairlife is a good idea. I’ve been drinking those Fairlife protein drinks and really like them.  😀

    Good morning! Yayy for me losing a little weight this week. I have been watching how much I eat and focusing mostly on protein. Also, I’m happy to be back to working out. I’m doing rebounding and a 25-minute weight-lifting program that I’m really enjoying. 💪 Today, I’m going to get my haircut. It’s been months, and I am dying for some shape and style. This evening, I have to meet the pastor to go over the service for Joe, and then I will help set up the room for our dessert reception after Bible study. Y’all have a great day! 🙂

    @FushiaKat – I hope the judge orders the bike company to pay all your legal bills, too. Keep us posted. Can we help you with the contest room? Give us some choices and let us vote 😊

    @Veta2018 – I’m so glad you love the Halloween card! Shaker cards are so fun! What images are on the stamp kits you bought? Any with covered bridges? Those would be gorgeous stamped and watercolored. A little mini scrapbook is a great way to ease back into crafting. I have made some that are in 8” x 8” albums. But my favorite is when I had chipboard cut to 9” x 5” (horizontal) and did it all from scratch. It was our 2009 Family Camp scrapbook. Took me an entire weekend. The kids helped pick out pictures and what each page would say. I still cherish it. You definitely need to do some crafting!

    @DrewsAnna – 5 out of 6 goals is fantastic!

    @bobboyardee – Woot Woot! 9 day streak is awesome!

    @trooworld – I’m so glad you LOVE it 😊Pharmacy visit update below… Awesome sleep score! So glad you have found some water flavor packets you enjoy.

    @TeresaW2024 – I’m so glad you love the card, too. I had fun making them. I put the shaker cauldrons together and looked at the foam between them and said to myself, “Oh no. I cannot have this bright white shining from the sides! I colored around all the edges with a marker, but I think I ended up with more on my fingers and thumbs than the foam! LOL Pharmacy update below 😊 I’m sorry you don’t like the Amazon shirts. I understand how difficult it is finding shirts that fit right. I’m short-waisted, which makes my tummy look ridiculously big. I could pass for being 6 months pregnant! I hope you find something that makes you feel good so you can focus on the people around you and celebrate Joe’s life. You and Chris are making me crave a loaded baked tater!

    I had absolutely no problem at the pharmacy yesterday – yay me! It was a new chick I hadn’t seen there before, so I’m guessing she hasn’t been corrupted by the negative attitudes surrounding her yet. While I was at the store, I decided to grab some popcorn chick’n to have with Frank’s and ranch. Then I decided to grab a box of Scooby Snacks to package up for the grands’ Halloween goodie bags. Once home, I made and ate my dinner, then promptly fell asleep around 6pm. I figured I would since I hadn’t fallen asleep until 4am earlier. Sucks that I didn’t wake up until just after 11pm. Which means I was an hour late taking the antibiotic, which means I had to wait until 1am to take the rest of my meds (I can’t take regular meds until 2 hours after antibiotic). Had another super late night…went to sleep around 3:30am. It’s a vicious cycle. Problem is, when I woke up after 11pm, I was hungry. Yeah. You guessed it. I sat there and ate the entire box of Scooby Snacks. Then turned around and popped some popcorn (at least it’s air-popped) cuz I was craving the dill pickle seasoning. I will not bash myself over this, though. I’m confessing it to all of you so I can move on and make better choices today.

    Have a delicious, fresh piece of fruit today! My treat is a Honeycrisp grown on a farm just a few miles away from me. It’s my favorite farm stand…it’s owned and run by my friend’s brother 😊

    2025 is MY year!
