@MaddawgMadsen omg! That is awful. I hope you look for another job or go full time bartending. That is not equal pay in the least 🤬

@TheMrWobbly do you prefer mondays as your weigh in day? For some reason I have you later in the week.

@MaddawgMadsen That sounds really frustrating. Lots of tough stuff with your job and such a disappointing response from your boss. Honestly pretty ridiculous and hopefully you can job hunt. Speaking from experience, being in a job where you don't feel appreciated or respected is hard. I took a large pay cut when I switched jobs and I don't regret it at all. Even harder to have your husband's work stuff on top of everything. Sending hugs!

I'm on the last week of my weight loss challenge. Honestly I'm so ready to be done. 42 days of meeting all the goals without fail is a lot of work. I've had excellent results and it really does speak to how much consistency matters. I need to plan ahead for some sort of diet break so I don't get out of control.

    Morning Friends!

Sorry to be late. Last week was manic and it looks like this week will be hectic too.

    And my weigh-in numbers:

    PW 188.5

    CW 189.4 Sorry 😞

@conleywoods - I am IMPRESSED that you made it 42 days! Incredible work!

@Gidgitgoescrzy - I call that feeling apathy. Too much apathy in my life can lead to mild depression, so while I feel that is okay to live in it every once in a while, I have to pull myself out of it pretty quickly. I don't know if that is the right word to describe what you feel, but it's what I thought when I read your post.

I made it to CrossFit this morning. It is the first class I have made all month. It was tough! But, it felt good.

    For you, Ashley!

And I know what you mean, @Gidgitgoescrzy because I have days like that too. Days when I really don't care. For me, it's normally because I'm cross about something and it's unresolved. I tend to take myself in hand and normally snap out of things before too much damage is done!

I'm sorry that I haven't managed to comment on more posts. I'm just trying to get in here every day - because it helps me!

Just know that I see you - and I'm thinking of you!

Busy day today cleaning and organizing. Listed a bunch of stuff on facebook market place to sell.

I'm not sure why, but I have not been tired at night this week. Going to bed after midnight and waking up at 7am. Tired at work though lol.

@conleywoods great job making it 42 days! That is truly impressive! 🥳

    Hello everyone!

@Gidgitgoescrzy Crackers are a major downfall for me too. Cheez-its are just so tasty. I try to buy the organic healthy Crackers that only have a few servings in one over priced box. That way it slows me down and I don't eat the whole box!

Had a good day today. The kids at school were extra sassy today. One of our pre school rooms has a teacher's assistant who isn't exactly warm and fuzzy. I over heard a little boy ask her "Why do you hate children?" OMG cracked me up. A good reminder to make sure you smile at work!!! You never know who's watching you.

Food was on target and I got my exercise in for the day. A 30 minute lunch walk and a core workout after work. Planning to sit in the sauna later tonight!

So hopefully back on plan tomorrow. Monday was a 21 hour working day supported with lattes and sugary snacks. Tuesday my SO wanted me to run errands with her which involved lunch out (jacket potato with tuna mayo and, of course, a latte). Averaged 2200 steps Mon & Tue. Today I am on a 5 hour train journey followed by a 6 hour drive. Back to running tommorow.

They were only snack size @Gidgitgoescrzy . I know this is not a competition but according to the maker of my favourite snack I am a family of four because that pack is gone once it is opened.

I would appreciate Monday weigh ins @lauren_989

    Happy hump day everyone x

Well yesterday was almost successful, I did my strength, I made dinner, I fed the dogs, I finished my book, I did not do the videos, and I snacked too much. I think I might sign up for some therapy, it's covered and won't cost me anything, so why not right?

Today I have the appointment with my pulmonologist to go over those scans I had, so I wonder does that play into why I have been so apathetic lately ( @MaddawgMadsen that is a perfect word for it)

Anyway, this weeks weigh in is going to be terrible…

Today, I am going to shoot for another perfect day !

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I'm trying to stick it out and I plan to talk candidly with my bosses when I can. Currently, I'm in a funk because of all of it, and because I haven't been working out as much. So, step one is to pull myself out of the funk enough to then feel confident in talking with my bosses. If the talking doesn't work, I am a little stuck because I live in a small town and work primarily with people whose families have been here for generations. Meaning, if I were to leave this job, I better have a new job lined up, and likely it would need to be remote or in a neighboring town (an hour drive over mountain passes). I'll keep everyone updated as best as I can.

@Gidgitgoescrzy - I am always pro therapy. I've only gone a few times in my life, but it has been really helpful every time. If I can't get out of this funk with not drinking and more exercise, then I will likely be seeking out some therapy as well.

@jguldi11 - It is always a struggle for me to eat well the day after not getting any sleep. Great job on eating well (one "slip" with a Little Debbie isn't bad) despite the lack of sleep!

@conleywoods - That teacher's assistant could have been me! LOL. I love kids for just saying what they're thinking.

It's just a little bit but I'll take it!

@Gidgitgoescrzy You can do it! I hope your stop smoking book helps. It would be really interesting to see your scan in 8 months with no smoking or less smoking. You got this and a great weigh in on top of it!

Boo! Not as high as it was a few weeks ago, but I want it to go down.

@Gidgitgoescrzy Giving you all the support on cutting it out of your life. Not easy at all.

MaddawgMadsen Sending you all the strength for this funk to turn it around.

@TheMrWobblyWow what do you do that involved working 21 hours straight? Hope you don't have to work those hours often.

I'm looking forward to the weekend. This is week 3 of our teachers being on strike and my daughter is still loving the break, but not the math we do at home. Has anyone had a childhood if you didn't sit at the table crying over math? I'm lucky she's a strong student and I can work from home, I know some families are struggling during this time with childcare. I've been keeping up with my workout schedule and getting it done in the morning.

Has anyone tried the carnivore diet or knows anyone who had good results? My husband wants to try it but I have no idea about it all and how successful it is.

@Gidgitgoescrzy great weigh in! I hope your appointment went well!

@jguldi11 I exercise around 5:30pm - this is my normal for the past 3 years. Although, this week with a ton going on, I have not exercised at all :(

@cleaneater80 the only person I know who does the carnivore diet is @19shmoo69 from team mission slimpossibles. It doesn't seem healthy to me to not eat fruit and veggies, but hey, if it works!

Super busy week. I have more work to do at home tonight. I try not to bring it home, but can't always document at work. Hopefully won't take too long.

The good news is I'm feeling much better. The bad news is my appetite is back. I've managed to hold off the weight I lost pre diagnosis but losing weight is another story.

I have a family wedding is December and I'm trying to use that as motivator to eat mindfully but so far I'm failing.

Anyone else unable to resist a cheeky mid-week weigh in?

It never does me any favours as I seem to always weigh less on a Friday than Monday. Maybe subliminally my brain is going "you've done well... eat something 😈"
