    @trooworld - I use a water enhancement called Stur. It's got some fruit juice in it, but calories would be negligible. The sweetener in it is stevia.

    @bobboyardee I could use that $100, but I hope I don't get it.

    I did good with my daily habits yesterday, I hope I can do just as good today.

    I have a lot of problems with fiber. I'll keep working on it.

    Chipper and I went for a one mile walk and we really enjoyed it. It was so peaceful.

    I got a Ninja crispi for my birthday. Last night I made a whole chicken in it and it was so good, so so juicy. Now, to figure out what I would like to do with the leftover chicken. There is a lot.

    @DrewsAnna – You're doing great! Keep ✔️ing off those goals. My way of getting a little extra fiber is by adding nuts to many foods. It gives them a little crunch. I want a Ninja crispi! I want an air fryer. I want a food dehydrator. Are you getting all this? I'm starting my Christmas list….hehehe.

    @bobboyardee – Woo-ooh! No worries. You're making good progress. You should give yourself $$ every day you stick to your plan to stop eating for the day. Kind of like the swear jar. A reward for doing good, instead of a punishment for not following the plan. You have many good qualities and should be kind to yourself.

    @trooworld - I love sushi! The spicy salmon, spicy tuna, eel, wasabi, and ginger. I love it all. I have to limit it to special occasion...lol. I'm doing ok…i guess. It's going on day 5 of my husband giving me the cold shoulder. The bright side of it is, I really get to focus on myself, eating the right foods and getting my workout in. I usually cater to his needs.

    @TeresaW2024 - It's strange how we watch those videos, look through those pictures, listen to those songs, when we know it will make us cry. The holiday's are the hardest. Mine are very different then they used to be. I used to prepare a bunch of food, plan games and activities, and invite everyone over to enjoy. Now, I just wing it. I do last minute invites. If anyone wants to comes over, they're always welcome. I pray you find comfort. Taking care of yourself by doing the rebound workout, buying new clothes, getting your hair done are all good ways.

    @vegan4lyfe2012 - That would be so cool, if they were covered bridge stamps. The stamps I bought are of animals.(elephant, giraffe, lion) I was thinking of my grandson when I bought them. I'm planning to make a calendar with pictures of him for his parents for Christmas. Your Family Camp scrapbook made with chipboard sounds cool. What a creative way to bring that rustic look into your camping scrapbook. Wait! I thought those Scooby snacks were for the grands' Halloween goody bags. Oh, well…I'm sure you'll find something to replace them.

    I appreciate that @Veta2018 ! I'm going to make a "rewards tier" for 10, 20, 30 days etc.

    I am done eating for the day! Had a really long day which resulted in late eating and kinda heavy portions since I was starving. Not going to beat myself up over it - ending food for the day. Committing to not eating until tomorrow. $100 to Veta if I eat before waking up!

    @TeresaW2024 Congrats on that loss ! Dang, I'm sorry you don't like the shirts. I hope you like the shirts that came yesterday. Ugh, I hate clothes shopping, I know what you mean! Yeah, those potatoes hit the spot. I like those protein drinks, too, they have a good taste. Good job with the workouts! I hope all went okay with your haircut and the meeting.

    Hi all. I woke up at 3:30 am today, I am going to be tired. I usually get up at 4 am, so it's not that big of a deal, but I feel it. The baked potato was good last night, it hit the spot. I am glad I didn't have to do much cooking when I got home. I may eat the other half tonight for dinner, too, depending on how lazy I feel! Water intake was good yesterday: the dietician said the sweet spot for me is 72 oz (3 bottles of my water bottle), and I hit it yesterday and the day before. Funny story: there is someone on Instagram that we've been following each other for a couple of years...we followed each other because she's local and has a pug and posts pug-related stuff. I posted a picture of a pug painting I did the other day and she reposted it and so I thanked her in a private message. She responded back, "this may sound weird, but do you work at XXX? I've seen a pug license plate at XXX for years and have been wondering who it is!" Yes, it is indeed me that works at XXX. Now, I may have a new friend at work! :)

    @vegan4lyfe2012 I just love the detail you put into your cards! It must be such a fun hobby. OK, so get that loaded baked potato! The key is the chives! And the bacon! What do you do to replace bacon? Is that even possible? 😁 You have got to figure out how to get yourself on a better sleep cycle! It’s good that you aren’t beating yourself up for eating junk food so late, but you know better and can do better. Like eating more Honeycrisp apples! I need to buy some apples today. 😀

    @Veta2018 Yes, looking at memories does make me cry, but they also bring me comfort. I like your idea of just winging the holidays. That is what I’m thinking I will do this year. If I feel like it, I will do it, and if not, I won’t. I’m all about giving myself grace in this season of grief. 🙂

    @trooworld Wow, what a small world that two pug-loving ladies, who have been following each other, end up working at the same place. Are you planning a meet-up? 😀

    Good morning! I finally found a hairdresser! She was super nice and did a great job on my hair, making it look much healthier. I finally found a shirt I feel good in to wear to the memorial, so I’m all set. Today, I’m returning all the Amazon shirts and hoping to find a bra I like. Trying on bras is one of the worst things in the world, but the girls are demanding a lift, so it must be done. 😉I’m also going to Trader Joe's for flowers. I will make my own arrangement for Joe’s service instead of spending a fortune at a florist. We got the fellowship room all set up last night. This lovely woman did the table decorations, and the room looks really nice. OK, off to work out and get the day going! Have a good one. 🙂

    Not much going on here. I'm very happy it's Friday! Going to meet up with DD tomorrow for lunch and shopping. Yay! DS was over this week to do his laundry because this old home he moved into does not have a washer/dryer and apparently, he and the roommates are supposed to get their own. These are good lessons for him. He never complains and says he likes it there- that's good too.

    @TeresaW2024 - I'm glad you found a shirt and got your hair done. These things just give us the confidence boost we need to get through difficult things. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

    @TeresaW2024 Interesting story about the pug -lover lol. I found out who she is: she doesn't work at my place, but she comes pretty often for meetings there, and is a former student! She did invite me to some pug meetups that she hosts, so I will probably meet her at some point. We are also connected on LinkedIn, I didn't realize she is the same person! LOL I'm glad you like your hair and your new shirt for the memorial, did you like the shirt from Amazon, or did you get one from Belk's (by the way, my parents used to love Belk's...they lived in NC!)? I hate bra shopping, too. Good idea to get flowers from TJs, they have wonderful bouquets. When is the service?

    Hi all. I gained 2.2 lbs this week. I have no idea how that happened, maybe I've been having too many carbs (I had another baked potato last night for dinner). I'm just going to chalk it up to a fluke on the scale and move on. Today is my work-from-home day, and then we are going to the gym. After the gym, we are going to a pro-wrestling match, which should be entertaining.

    @trooworld That is an interesting story, and I hope that once you meet your fellow pug lover, you find a new friend. All the shirts I got on Amazon were mostly too big, and the fabric was cheap. I found what I wanted at Belk. I hadn’t been in Belk in a long time, and they have so much clearance and great coupons. I ended up buying five new shirts on sale. 😀 I agree that you probably ate too many carbs and are retaining water because of it. Eat clean and drink extra water. Have fun at the wrestling match. 🙂


    Good morning! Today, I need to do some housework and get ready for tomorrow. Joe’s two sons and one DIL are flying in today. I probably won’t see them until tomorrow, since they will be driving in late-afternoon Atlanta traffic and getting to their hotel this evening. The plan for tomorrow is for them to come over, and we will have lunch from my sister’s deli. Then we go to the church at 1 pm for the service and dessert reception. Joe’s family, my sister, and I will eat dinner at our favorite brewery, which we always take them to when they visit. I plan to eat fish and chips in Joe’s honor. 🙂 My heart feels more settled about having this celebration of life service for my sweet Joe, and I’m just praying for a good day with lots of good memories with people who loved him. You all have a good day! 🙂

    Yesterday was a much better day. I took Chipper out for a little walk to clear my head a bit. When I came home I did the laundry and some other miscellaneous stuff.

    I got 3 vaccinations on Wednesday and they are making me a little extra tired. Today is a very dark, windy, rainy and just plain dreary kind of day. So, that doesn't help.

    I want to clear off the treadmill today so I can start using it.

    Nothing exciting happening here.

    DISCUSSION QUESTION: What type of exercise gives you the biggest energy boost afterward?Cardio for sure! I start the day off so much happier after singing loudly to music while working out. Weight lifting is behind it though, I’m always proud of myself for getting through it.

    @TeresaW2024 I miss you all too! I’m so sorry to hear of the sadness with your anniversary, I admire you being able to pull yourself out of it and not sink into depression. You’ve been through so much this last year and are incredibly strong! Joe would be so proud of you, huge hugs. I hope your time with Joe’s sons and DIL at the service and at lunch and lunch are extra special. I’m sure the service will be amazing, enjoy those fish and chips! I wish we all lived close so we could go to the service too, I feel like I knew Joe through you. Yay on the hairdresser!

    @trooworld Your new pug friend sounds wonderful how funny that she’s seen your license plate! I hope you’re able to go the pug meetups or hang out sometime, sounds like a great potential new friend! Those 2.2lbs don’t know who they’re messing with they’ll be gone fast and are probably just fluctuations (still sucks to see I know).

    @DrewsAnna Hope you’re feeling better from the vaccinations, three at a time is a lot for your body to deal with! Hugs on the fighting yesterday, glad today is going better. Gloomy weather is hard to be cheerful with isn’t it? Your Ninja crispi chicken sounds delicious!

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Thank you for the Halloween card I love it! I’m so glad you had no problem at the pharmacy. I dread going, I’m on a low amount of opioids and the head pharmacist has been so awful to me and others on them (talked to a woman in the parking lot as he was being a jerk to her and we’d both reported him which was too funny!). I hope today is filled with better choices for you, that apple sounds aweome! My roommate and I went to Apple Hill on Tuesday and I brought home a bunch of delicious apples (bakery stuff too but I didn’t go overboard).

    @FushiaKat I’m glad you’re going after the bike corporation they’ve been ridiculous. I hope the killer mix works on the palm trees!

    Hi everyone! Had a busy week, my roommate and I went to Apple Hill Tuesday and hit a bunch of farms and ate lots of goodies, we brought back a lot of apples which are all super tasty especially dipped in almond butter but trying not to do that right now! Of course the donuts were delicious but I didn’t bring home a lot of baked goods. I had a doctor’s appointment to get a note for jury duty and we talked about my recent labs, between that and being weighed and talking about cholesterol meds I knew once Tuesday in Apple Hill was behind me it’s time to get back to it, I feel best around 145-150 and am up to 173 so gotta get my act together. Have been doing well with workouts but I swapped a workout for gardening and went to the community garden and got all my fall/winter stuff in just need to finish at home now. I’ve decided no more baking for adoption events, I picked up snacking stuff which I can resist. Still have all 4 kittens here the adoptions have been challenging! Have skinnytaste’s taco chicken chili for dinner, my roommate’s taking a nap and her head’s next to the kitchen wall so it’s been challenging cooking and not waking her up!

    Hi all. The gym was a bit annoying, it was busy, and I had to change up my routine several times because people were on the machines. I should have put quotes around "pro" for the "pro" wrestling as it was a local act with luncha libre masks on (Mexican-style wrestling); it was so much fun and very entertaining! Today is going to be very busy: I am going walking with my old boss, looking at murals in this one neighborhood, and then we are having coffee. Then, I will go meet a coworker and a former coworker for coffee in North County. After that, also in North County, I will stop by a gallery that I am exhibiting some art in to see if it would be a good fit for me to join (they have a membership with good benefits including discounts on entering shows...for every art show in almost every gallery, you have to pay money to even be considered for the show. Usually, it's around $35 a show. There are other benefits to membership with this gallery but I won't get into it). At some point, I need to get groceries, too.
