    Hi 👋

    Yesterday was an alright type of day. I used the last of the chicken and made chicken and dumplings. All from scratch. That chicken made 3 meals. I'm very impressed. Lol… sometimes it's the little things 😅😅

    Other than that, I didn't do much at all. I will try harder today. It's supposed to be another dark, dreary and rainy day and these types of days are very hard.

    That's about all I have for now. Y'all have a great day 😀

    Hi all. My, it's quiet around here! My busy day went well. I did NOT go to the gym yesterday morning, I just had too much to do and slept in a bit, which I needed. I had fun with my friends, and the gallery visit was interesting: in my head, I would have this great conversation with the person working and get to ask my questions, and it would go perfectly. In reality, I got there, and there was a trick-or-treating event going on in the whole shopping area, and so droves of children kept coming in and out trick-or-treating. There was only one person working the gallery when I got there, so I had to talk to her in between the kids. Eventually, some other ladies came in, and so the person I was talking to walked me around the gallery and answered my questions. I was very happy with the visit. I am going to enter a few more shows there before I decide to join. I found some other calls to entry at other galleries that I plan on entering. Today, I am going to the gym this morning, and then I have to drop off my piece at the coffee shop for the show that starts next weekend. I am also going to be hanging out at the coffee shop, making some art. Should be a fun day!

    Hi all, I've been hanging out with my grandson the past few days. We took him trunk or treating at the VFW. He is a cute little duck for Halloween. I also achieved over 10,000 steps, chasing him around the mall.

    Remember, small changes can do big things for your health. Make sure each small change is sustainable, and something that you can commit to doing with consistency. You're in control of your personal wellness journey. What small change can you commit to doing consistently as your next step? Sharing the commitment makes us accountable, otherwise it's more like a wish than a goal.

    Congrats to @askewcr for achieving 1st place and @bobboyardee for 3rd , way to go! A shout-out goes to @alimalli86 for making it onto the leaderboard .

    @Veta2018 Congrats on the loss ! Awww, I bet that was fun and cute to go trunk or treating with him. Good job with the steps!

    Hi all. The gym was super annoying yesterday: just because of one guy...he puts his duffle bag down by the hip abduction machine and just walks around talking to people and using other machines. I put off using that machine because I figured he would eventually use it, but I was at the end of my workout and needed to finish up. I went over to him and asked politely if he was using that machine, and he looked at me like I was being rude and said yes, he was. I just left. I get there before him, so the next time, I will do that machine first and not have to deal with him. So rude of him. I had a good day yesterday, other than that. I made high-protein instant pot spaghetti and it came out well...it is "high-protein" because you add blended cottage cheese to it when it is done.

    @TeresaW2024 - After the last of the ceremonies are over, after the business issues are settled; that's when the hard part of working through grief begins. Redefining your life without him will be challenging and unsettling. I hope his friends will be there to support you as you find your path forward. The Slimpossibles will do our best to support you on your wellness journey, but remember, that's only a small piece of who you are, and I'm quite sure Joe is very proud of you already!

    Hi 👋

    I didn't do much this weekend. The weather was dark and dreary and I just went with the flow. I set up my grow lights in my monstera and I have to do them to my corn plant now. That is going to be a lot harder because that plant is huge and heavy and needs some tlc.

    I am getting ready to embark on a new adventure. My son sent me a picture of a big bag full of crown royal bags. I'm not really much of a sewing type person, but I saw some really cute ideas that is both crochet and sewing integrated together. So, I'm going to get my sewing machine out and teach myself how to use the darn thing.

    Today, I plan on working on my habits again and getting back on track, again.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    @TeresaW2024 - @micaroo4 said it well. One day at a time my friend and be very kind to yourself on the bad ones. Hugs and prayers. The flowers and urn are beautiful and I'm glad the service went well and you were surrounded with love.

    @bobboyardee - I read something about streaks and how they can be motivating, but when the streak ends you can just go entirely off the rails with a "why bother" mentality. So, good work not starting it over.

    @TeresaW2024 Is there any candy you can't stand that you could get for the kids ? Or, can you get little toys/puzzles/rubber balls that aren't food? Yes, and this guy is in his 60s and is a gym regular so he should know better! I'm glad the service went so well. I am not surprised, Joe sounds like he was a wonderful man. What a beautiful urn. How special that your bestie's husband made it. I like how you arranged the things, and the flowers are beautiful.

    @vegan4lyfe2012 @AustinRuadhain Congrats on the losses !

    Hi all. Work was busy yesterday, I felt like I was running around all day! My husband bought us pizza on the condition that I would pick it up on the way home. I hadn't had "real" pizza (just had things like lavash bread pizza, 2-ingredient dough pizza etc) since my surgery. I picked up a medium and enjoyed 1 1/2 slices...a far cry from the 4 I used to eat!

    10-28-2025 Discussion Question.png

    DISCUSSION QUESTION: Do you prefer working out alone, with a buddy, or in a group setting — and why?

    My answer: I'm torn between alone and in a group setting. I guess it depends on the exercise and where I am: I don't like working out at home alone when I strength train…I feed on the energy at the gym and at home, I don't get that energy. I like group classes, I like that it pushes me to do more. I don't really enjoy working out with another person. I just want to focus on my workout!

    @micaroo4 Thank you so very much for your kind words and support, which I so appreciate. I am blessed with a lovely church family and my own family, both of whom are very supportive of me. And I love that this group is a safe place for me to share my emotions. ♥️

    @bobboyardee Thank you, my friend! ☺️

    @Cornanda Thank you! ♥️

    @trooworld I’m not a big fan of sour candy. But right now I’m fighting a toothache that is starting to worry me, so I think I will have to abstain from all candy and call my dentist. 🙄 I’m glad you were able to enjoy real pizza. 😀

    Good morning! It’s sooooo cold here! I want fall weather NOT winter weather! 🥶I’ve been struggling most of the morning to get my scanner on my printer to work, and finally figured it out thanks to a nice Indian man on YouTube. This evening, I will go to the church for a Refocus team meeting, which should be better than sitting on Zoom. I need to go workout and NOT eat all day because the scale isn’t looking good. But it’s OK, because I refuse to beat myself up. Have a good day! 🙂

    DISCUSSION QUESTION: Do you prefer working out alone, with a buddy, or in a group setting — and why?

    I prefer working out alone because no one needs to see how I look in my biker shorts and tight tank top. I used to go to a gym and hated it so much because I was so self-conscious of how I looked. Once, we church ladies did a Zumba class, and that was a hoot! We were all so uncoordinated. 😂

    Working out?

    I like working out with someone for comradery and accountability. I would prefer to workout with an educated person so I can bounce questions off of. With that said, if we aren’t going to chat, then I’d rather be alone. I can be awkward all by myself. I don’t need any help with that. Lol
