Steps -one late one early. Please add 7,000 steps to the 15th. I lost my fit bit for most of the day. No exercise but good daily steps doing what I do.

Wow ! Team Waistaways won the week! Hurrah for us!!
Sadly, I didn't add to the team's success, so you all won in spite of me!
As will be seen by my weigh-in: PW - 189.4 / CW - 190.8
I did eat right, and I exercised 4 out of the last 7 days. But I also feel like a slug at the moment!
My goal for the coming week? 4 workouts this week and conscious water drinking. Plus sensible bed times!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Friends.

Great job coming in 1st place team!
Sorry I haven't been on much the last few days, I've been motivated to do a lot of cleaning and sorting that's been needing to be done for a very long time now. Today my husband said to me "you know most people do spring cleaning in the spring, right?" LOL I'm not sure why I'm motivated now exactly, but I'm not complaining!
I've been wearing my Stelo cgm for a few days now and I'm learning a lot about how my body handles glucose... unfortunately not as well as I'd like (yay pcos) which makes me wonder how my a1c is always so great. Either way it's good info to have so I can make better choices.
@Gidgitgoescrzy I'm always a huge advocate for therapy, especially if you don't have to pay for it! The hard part is finding someone you connect with. If at first it's not a good fit, don't be afraid to look for someone else.
@YinxFed those are some good goals for the week!
@TheMrWobbly I tend to weigh myself a few times during the week, I'm almost always lighter mid-week than I am on my weigh in day (Monday). I try to remember overall it's the trend that matters, not any one number.

HI everyone!
Today is the last day of my 6 week challenge! I have worked really hard and earned all the available points! I also lost 7.3 lbs of body fat and maintained all of my muscle mass! Next I'm going on a reverse diet to give my body a little break. Im going to keep my protein macros the same and add 100 calories a week of carbs and fat for a month. @lauren_989 I'll be on the support team for the month of November. I'll still check in here because I'll be tracking macros and working out. My weigh ins just won't be helpful for the team. I'm excited for a calorie increase. I definitely have some cravings and my exercise intensity is down. I'll be back in a cut for December.
@jguldi11 I think it's great you are using a cgm. I found my numbers surprising too. My lab work was always good but my cgm data really wasn't. For awhile I felt like if I thought about food I had a glucose spike!

The RomCom book for November is: Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry. Happy reading!!

Good morning and happy Monday!
My weekend was good, not 100% on point with food, but nothing crazy either. I was off work on Friday, I had appointments for my car. So hubby and I ran a bunch of much neglected errands. We had lunch out, and it was not great, I have been so disappointed in any food I have when eating out lately, it used to excite me, now it's like , UGH if we have too, can't you wait till we get home… LOL
Saturday was stuff around the house, we fixed the treadmill, moved some tables around, laundry, ya know house stuff, oh and we made lists of things the hubby needs to do before surgery, and projects for after while he is off.
Yesterday we hiked, we went to a new place and thank goodness for AllTrails or we might still be out there walking, we totally missed a turn, I blame the leaves, you can't really see the trails right now. I like it when we hike on Sunday, it seems to set a good mentality for myself, I have 12k steps to start the week instead of the 2k because I was a complete slug. LOL -
My goals for this week are strength training on Tues, Thurs & Saturday. Treadmill Monday, Weds. Rowing on Friday.
I've been reading my book for smoking, and it makes so much sense, it's definitely helpful, it says not to quit until you are finished reading the book, but honestly, it's already in my head. I have 2 packs of cigs left, and those would typically last almost a month (I only smoke around 2-3 a day, sometimes 1 or none) So I think I will have the hubby give the 2nd pack to his co-worker, lol (it's fine he has no desire to quit).
Okay off to do some work.
Have a great day !

WINNERS!!!!!!!
Fabulous work everyone!
PW 116.6kg (257.1 lbs)
CW 115.5kg (254.6 lbs)
Steps were a bit pathetic due to a very busy work week.
Diet wasn't particularly good either but didn't go mad. Managed to keep on target with three 5k runs in the week.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and we a raring to go. Another busy day today though I wouldn't want to be bored.

Wahoo team! Great job on coming in first place!! 🥳
@conleywoods I will move you to support for November, great job with completing the challenge. Is this the first maintenance break you have done? Has anyone else done this?
@Gidgitgoescrzy you probably mentioned it already, but what is the smoking cessation book? Great job for doing this!
@jguldi11 great loss this week! I have one of those cgms and trying to decide when to wear it since I just have 1. Maybe it would be good to see what halloween candy does to my sugar 😂
2 -
@lauren_989 This is my first maintenance break. I have been in a calorie deficit for 6 months and I had a bigger calorie deficit than my coach usually uses because I was so slow to get the weight moving. Normally she has clients in a 500 calorie deficit for 16 weeks. I was in a 700 calorie deficit. I might do 2 months of maintenance because she said I need to return to my maintenance calories of 2200. I'll add 100 calorie and see how I adjust for 2 weeks. Then she'll decide if I can go up another 100 calories. I just need to keep my workouts really consistent so we know I'm burning the same amount of calories each week. I'll still stick to macros. I have this week off from food logging and structured workouts. I need a break!

Early good morning, Friends!
I woke up early because the clock radio alarm went off. Hubby accidentally set it to 5.00am. He gets up super early because a lot of his clients are in Thailand. He was already up!
We're off to the opticians later today. The plan is to get our eye prescriptions and then choose our lenses and frames online. Spectacles are so expensive these days and Ben and I are at the stage where we both need to have a spare pair on hand!
When we get home I plan to get started on a couple of projects for my Festive Sewing class that's starting next month.
Like you, @jguldi11 I'm also undertaking some house projects. For me, it's prepping for Christmas. We'll be having a good friend of ours staying for a week. And being so busy at work, I find that I need to get really intentional about some house chores.
On Sunday I cooked our first Slow Cooker supper of the season. I'd forgotten what a great idea slow cookers are!
Anyway, I suppose I should get up and start my day. Hope you all enjoy yours.

Good morning team!
I had a nice weekend, productive and I feel good about my food choices. I did have 2 small pieces of Halloween candy when I was making up my son's treat bags to pass out at school. I think my goal for the month was to only have 3 so I have 1 left 😅 surprisingly it didn't spike my blood sugar too much, I was still in the "healthy" range.
I'm finding that having the cgm is helping me not snack as much and I'm making better choices overall. I have 1 more and I'm debating if I want to save it for Thanksgiving time, or maybe I don't want to see those results!
I go back to work today, I hope I can get some movement in somewhere. I have a 4 day streak of hitting my step goal and I'd like to keep it going. It's so hard when I'm sitting at work all day though. I don't even really get a lunch break anymore because I use that to run home and take my son to school, so unless I have a client that wants to walk, I'm stuck in the office. Lately no one has wanted to walk, it's been a bit chilly outside.
Maybe I'll find some extra energy after work for a workout.... maybe.
I hope everyone has a good day!

Yesterday was not good I snacked so much, and now, deservedly so, I feel yucky and disappointed in myself. In the afternoon, my energy plummeted, and I was really sore in different areas, so I never got on the treadmill, I sat on the couch and made an excuse that I worked too hard on Sunday. But that was yesterday, it's a new day…
@lauren_989 The book is "Allen Carr Easyway to stop smoking" - He is some guy who did seminars and stuff and gets you to understand the psychological dependance of nicotine. It makes you think and go hmmmm. Will it work, I am not sure, but I am hopeful. I would like to do this without any drugs, or crutches, so I am going to be open minded and thoughtful about it. I am not a big, every day, chain smoker, so some of the stuff he talks about doesn't really resonate with me, but the whole picture makes sense and resonates, so I suppose that's what matters. A good friend of mine told me about it, and she was a heavy smoker and quit with it.
Today is going to be a good day, I am going to stick with my planned meals and nothing more. I am going to go home and do my strength training, and walk on the treadmill to make up for yesterday.
I need to prep some more veggies for my salad, and make the dogs their anti-Itch ice creams (It's yogurt, blueberries, coconut oil, turmeric and banana mixed up and frozen)
I am going to read 2 chapters of my book tonight.
@YinxFed I love slow cooker meals, What is your favorite recipe? ( I need some new ideas, lol)
@jguldi11 Nice loss this week ! I don't understand your clients, chilly walks are the best ! Well as long as you don't forget a tissue, I don't know what it is, but I cannot go on a walk without my nose running a little.
Have a wonderful day.

Hey team! It took me a long while but I am all caught up on posts and I read each and every one. So many things stood out as always as there is lots going on for people, some good, some bad, but I'm glad we can all be here for each other along the way.
When I weighed in I predicted I might be getting sick, and sure enough it hit me yesterday, so now I'm down and out… I have had a pretty healthy year for me so it was bound to happen I suppose but it doesn't make it any more fun.
Thanks to everyone who diligently reported their steps and patiently waited for my return. I have recorded everything and will be working on the catch-up report.
Anyone doing anything fun for Halloween?

Hi all, I'm slinking back in with my tail between my legs and asking to be put back in for November, because I am sorely in need of some encouragement and accountability.
I never got back on track after my holiday, I'm depressed, binge eating, drinking too much, and all around pretty damn miserable. I need to draw a line in the sand, and here it is.
5 -
@Alatariel75 welcome back!!! I am so glad to hear from you! Even if you had a rough go of it for a bit, you can get back to it! One day at a time, and starting here is a great place! Do you have a starting weight for November?
@ashleycarole86 I hope you feel better soon! I'm sure being on a plane and at a concert put you around many germs. I hope Brad is ok too!
@Gidgitgoescrzy let me know if the book works for you and I can recommend it to others!
@jguldi11 I am definitely one who does not like to walk in the cold. It was 48F here today and I about froze!
@YinxFed I'm not sure if eyebuydirect ships to the UK, but that is where I get my glasses from. $12 for my last pair (not progressives). I have several laying around now!
I am trying to get back into my groove. Had a rough week and it shows with my weight, up around 3 pounds. I didn't work out at all last week either. Well yesterday, I did get on the treadmill and will do that again tomorrow. We ate out for dinner tonight and I am feeling too full now. I need to get my head back in the game before the holiday season!
@ashleycarole86 we bought candy to give out to the trick-or-treaters! I love seeing the kids in their costumes. Last year we got around 80, so I will see how many we get this year! I was going to carve my pumpkin today, but it's raining and will rain the next 2 days. I don't want it to get mushy, so I will carve it Thursday.

Snacked again last night, but now there are no more snacks in the house 😆
I did my strength training, but did not get on the treadmill, I am not sure what is holding me back, but something is.
I am not sure how my weigh in will be tomorrow, scale was up today, so we shall see. I am really ready to get off this boring roller coaster, I'd much rather take a nice slow walk down a steep hill, but I did it before, I will do it again.

Loving those wins @jguldi11
Welcome back @Alatariel75
A busy week, just a case of keeping going this week.
3 -
It has been cold and rainy all week. Have I mentioned I don't like the cold?? Went to the gym after work and it was packed. But I did some jogging which was a win because I have my 5k coming up on Thanksgiving. It will be here before I know it!
@Gidgitgoescrzy not having snacks in the house is the only way I don't snack!! Good for you doing strength training as well!
I'm also going to restart my magnesium supplement…these migraine are really getting to me…

Thursday weigh-ins!
@mkksemail - are you ok? It's been a while since we heard from you!

PW 151.4
CW 151.4 I will take it and even smile, whew, typically it would have gone up…
Today is super yucky, it's raining alot. I don't like driving in the dark when it's raining, it typically gives me so much anxiety and tension, but it wasn't bad this morning, and it was sketchy out there, I ran over a rather large branch that was in the middle of the road, and then, I believe I hit something in the deep puddle had to drive through, and it's too dark to look at my car.
Anyway, tonight is strength training, and the football game. I have chicken, zucchini and spinach salad planned for dinner. It's really hard to try to eat food that isn't made by a company, but that is what I am trying to do, I think I am about 75-90% there most days.
I am trying a new habit, my most significant time I smoke, is as soon as I get home from work, I let the dogs out, and I go out with them, and I smoke… So instead of going out with them, I am making myself a cup of tea.
Have a great day !

A little gain but not bad since I haven't worked out all week. I've gone on a few walks. I'm also not tracking my food this week but in general am eating normally. I'm eating some extra carbs and it has given me a boost in energy.

I have accepted a new job that starts in early December!! It will be a change that is more into management responsibilities but will definitely challenge me. I'm so excited to try something different. I'm nervous but I know this is a good change for me and the risk is a bit smaller because I can put my original job on hold and go back to it for up to a year.
Maybe I can get to the 150's by Christmas - that's the goal.
