HOW IT ALL WORKS: The November challenge runs for four weeks, from November 2nd - November 29th.

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leader board. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get November on the road! 😎

    MY INTRODUCTION

Hi all! My name is Mica, and I'm a co-cappy, keeper of the weigh-in spreadsheet, for Mission Slimpossibles. I live in Dover New Hampshire with my boyfriend Rich and my fabulous cat Earl. I'm 69 years old, and I work 3 days a week as a bookkeeper in a plastics factory. I plan to retire in July 2026, but may work longer depending on what Rich decides to do; he's still full time and 6-1/2 years younger than me. I'm at my goal weight (range 127-133). I love bicycling and walking for exercise, and my hobbies are birding and crochet.

I’m curious is there a book club thing going on? I see something like that posted every now and again but I can’t find anything about it starting. Like I said I’m just curious.

@19shmoo69 - It's just as well, I suspect you would know more about coffee flavor profiles than the person teaching the class. I didn't go. @trooworld - my library has just started doing new things that are more interesting than I've seen in the 15 years I've lived here- Crock pot cooking (like a pot luck food tasting), the coffee thing, a book club for people who work (oh my gosh, finally one that's not in the middle of a work day) the book club is at a COFFEE place and is 30 min of silent reading and then discussion. Haven't attended anything yet, but it seems someone new is in charge and they have my attention!

@trooworld - does your silent book club have discussion and if so, how is it? I'm not sure what would be discussed after silent reading. I guess what you just read or have been reading? You look great as a vampire and I hope you have lots more fun this weekend

Sunday- A little more cleaning to be done, chop my veggies for the week, then I need to work on a photo calendar project. Gus needs a haircut. Then it will be football time. Go Pack Go!

I’m thinking of doing a thankful November “challenge” reflecting on the subject on the day means. Can share or keep it in your personal notes. What do you think?

Hello, I’m Teresa for those that don’t know. I have been a member of this group for a long time and have lost and regained 80 lbs over the last few years. My husband died from dementia 46 days ago, so I’m newly widowed and dealing with all the grief feelings that come from losing the love of my life. I live in Georgia with my mom, my sister, and my little dog, Maggie Mae. I’ve been my church’s secretary for the last 9 years and am grateful to my church family, who have been so supportive of me over the past few years as I have had to be my husband’s full-time caregiver. My weight-loss goals right now are to be kind to myself, get through the holidays without gaining more weight, and get back into a consistent workout routine. I’m working on a New Year’s plan to get this weight off once and for all. I will be 60 years old next year, and it’s time to get it together!! 🙃

@gemwolf110 I love the November thankful challenge! I’m doing something similar with a Christian woman I follow on Facebook. It’s a good reminder when life feels unfair to really stop, reflect, and be thankful. 🙂

Hi everyone! A big welcome to the new team members, and welcome back to the returning members, I am so glad you are here!

    MY INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband, cute one-eyed pirate pug named Daisy (around 10-11 yrs old) and pug pup name Violet who is 3 yrs old. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. At my highest weight, I was 256 lbs. I just had gastric bypass surgery on Dec 20, 2024 to save my life. I had to do something fast as I was losing my mobility. I hope to get down to around 150 lbs, or whatever is healthy for me. For exercise, joined a real dude’s gym in June 2025 and have been lifting weights since then. My surgeon really wants me to do more cardio, so hopefully, I’ll be working on that soon. Up until my surgery, my arthritis in my knee limited me a lot. I am doing a lot better since surgery. I am most active on the weekends, when I go to the gym and do a lot of walking. My husband and I love to cook, I've got 9,373 recipes saved but who's counting? LOL Seriously, I do and they are all organized, so if you need a recipe for ANYTHING, let me know! I've got everything from healthy foods to pet treats to recipes for cleaning supplies. My hobbies: reading, making artwork and crafts, photography, and cooking. I do straight-up calorie counting of healthy foods.

Now, it's your turn! Tell us about YOU!

@DrewsAnna Thank you ! I'm glad you dressed up, you look so cute!

@bobboyardee I hope you enjoyed your cookies and went to bed .

@19shmoo69 There is a book club . @nancyinmiami is in charge of it , she's on another team, and it is a book club that is open to all teams. Follow the link she posts to learn more about it.

@Cornanda Wow , sounds like they got fresh ideas at the library, and good ones! I'm glad, I hope you get to try some of those ideas out. Yes, my silent book club starts with about 30 minutes of discussion where we talk about the books we have finished lately and what we are going to read that night, and then we read silently, and then it is pretty much over unless you want to hang around and chat. Thank you, I am having a little too much fun lol. I hope you get everything done so you can enjoy your Packers game.

Hi all. I had a very busy day yesterday. We started off going to breakfast at one of my favorite places. Again, I barely ate any of the food (that's a good thing). We then went for coffee and after that, we went to a gem show. I got a pair of peacock feather earrings that are huge but I love them! After that, we went to Old Town for the Day of the Dead festival. We got there before the crowds and walked around in the shops and then had another coffee from this vegan chocolate place with great coffee. It started to get crowded so we left. I dropped my friend off at her Airbnb and went home to rest. I picked her up later and we went to Little Italy and had aperol spritzes, my favorite Italian alcoholic beverage. We went to dinner down there after that, at our favorite restaurant. I ordered the lasagna and it was fabulous! We stopped for a drink after that, but the bar we went to (a fancy pants bar) was a disappointment: it was $15 for one drink and the drink was small and it was almost completely just ice! The service was bad, too.

    Water intake yesterday: 24 oz

I'm Anna, I am a married housewife to my hubby of 14 yrs, (21 living together yrs) and we have 1 dog and 6 feral cats, atleast I think there is still 6. I don't really know, but I see them all over the place. I have 4 adult kids & 1 bonus adult kids, they have given me 11 grandkids. Their ages range from 21-4. Holidays are loud, crazy and chaotic, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have been on Wegovy since November 2024, and I have lost about 15 lbs. Im on 1.0, my health coach was going to increase it to 1.7, but I don't feel like I'm ready, so I declined for the time being. I would've lost more, but I'm a very stubborn person and I am not much into veggies.

This is Chipper, my best buddy.

Hi everyone! I'm Kathy, I've been on this team for almost 7 years. I'm 54 and live in the Sacramento area in CA with my two cats, roommate, and my two foster kittens. I'm just getting back on track after slacking off after my last back fusion/fusion revision two years ago. I file claims, volunteer at the food bank farm and community garden, and have been fostering kittens for 5 months now. I have chronic pain issues which makes working out and gardening challenging but am doing my best to keep some health issues like diabetes and liver problems in remission and am pushing to improve my pain/mobility. Workout-wise I do chair cardio, weights, stretching, and gardening.

Totally forgot about the start of the month! Way to go MIssion Slimpossibles being second place for Oct week 5, way to go @Veta2018 @vegan4lyfe2012 at leading the pack! Awesome job Oct Grand Finale Mission Slimpossibles in 1st place! Go @vegan4lyfe2012 being in the green for the whole month! @veta @Veta2018 @vegan4lyfe2012 @Cornanda on leading the team for the month!

Hi everyone! No new adoptions but a woman was interested in taking one of my kittens to be with her single foster and I agreed she could take the one that keeps climbing the gate and crying all the time. Feel bad but from the photos she's sent me his setup being in a cage in the room with them is probably great for him. The two girls are doing wonderful on their own and are getting a lot more attention after the boy took so much of it. Had my neighbor over for dinner and tried these recipes and can vouch both are great, here's Fall Harvest Salad with Butternut Squash and Apple: https://elyrecipes.com/all-harvest-salad-with-butternut-squash-and-apple/ Then did Apple Cider-Glazed Chicken Thighs https://thestayathomechef.com/apple-cider-glazed-chicken-thighs/ I didn't know what I was going to make when I invited her and she ended up bringing apple crisp bars so we definitely went with a theme tonight!

I ate a little last night, not a terrible binge, more like I didn't eat enough during the day.

Starting a new day count, today is #1

@Katmary71 will get $100 if I eat before tomorrow!
(this money thing is silly and I feel dumb posting it, but it really helps me get perspective that I don't want food that desperately, so if everyone doesn't mind, I think I'm going to keep doing it for a while)

Hello, I'm Brian !!! I'm 68 years "young"/old. I've been part of Slimpossibles for, I think, 16 months. A couple of weeks ago I celebrated (w/o cake or icecream😏) 90 lbs lost. [According to Copilot AI that's the equivalent to a "newborn baby hippo"!!!😄, but I digress…] I've lived in the teeny, tiny, town of Canton, PA in NorthCentral, PA (about 45 minutes from the NYS border, and home of corn, cows, and conservatives) for 5 years now - w/o killing myself or any other person, which is an accomplishment, believe me. 😏Originally, I lived my whole life in either NYC or the metropolitan area, which I dearly miss every day.

While overweight for most of my life, it was being diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS in 2018 and breaking my hip in 2017, and now using a rollator full-time, that kicked my wellness lifestyle into high-gear.

I've been a widower since 2001. My partner Bob died at the early age of 50 from Pulmonary Hypertension/Liver Disease after a long illness. Unfortunately, he passed unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day. I mention this ONLY as a reminder that we all REALLY DO need to count our blessings and be consciously/actively grateful for our loved ones - living and deceased. Give thanks for the joy each gives and gave us.

Needless to say, November and December are filled with mixed emotions for me - for all of us, I'm sure! - without our loved ones human and animal. Let's try to be mindful of our emotional eating… and if we do overeat, attempt to make sure it's healthy/healthier foods.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Congrats on the loss !

@19shmoo69 You are very welcome !

@Katmary71 That's good that the crying one will go with that woman . Maybe he'll do better there with that setup. Thanks for the recipes, that salad looks amazing!

@bobboyardee Drew , keep posting it if it helps you! I am glad it does. And don't worry, I don't think anyone thinks it's a real transaction. I'm sorry you had a kind of bad night. HUGS.

Hi all. Yesterday was more fun, we went to breakfast, coffee, then ran around and then to my art show. I dropped my friend off and went grocery shopping with my husband. My friend and I went for a drink and then went to a nice Indian restaurant for dinner. After that, we were both tired so we parted ways. I just got back from dropping her off at the airport a bit ago. Back to reality!
