@Zaxa2021 I am sorry you are having a hard time. I also can't have anything 'bad' in the house because my brain will constantly tell me to eat it. Self control is hard! Not all posts here need to be happy and positive. I personally find it really helps to write stuff out sometimes, so don't feel bad about it and share whatever you need to! Hopefully things will get better for you soon.

The step challenge stats for October … somehow you got two lines in the stats and my name disappeared…no worries…I switched it back.

@Zaxa2021 I echo @Pupowl comments,it's good to share however your feeling the highs & the lows.Your two boys looked wonderful in their Halloween costumes, glad they enjoyed taking part in the celebrations.Im the same with goodies in the house. My husband has started getting a big bag of salted nuts & chocolates every Friday! It's OK if I'm feeling in a good space but when I'm not I can't resist.
A good trick someone once told me when my boys were small was to pour washing up liquid on the plates of leftover foods so you can't eat them 😄 maybe extreme but it works.

Thank you, @Pupowl and @izzyred9400 .
Yesterday was a much better day, and I was able to show a bit of control. Calories were still just a smidge high, but that was just due to poor planning, not food frenzies the way it's been. Definitely a step in the right direction. I'm sure I'll get there if I keep trying.
I've been walking, but haven't been running. My calf has been bugging me. It was sore after the half marathon two weekends ago, as was the rest of my legs. But then I kept tweaking it. Twice from twisting to put kids in the car, once from sprinting after my kid at the playground before it hurt himself, and once just from stepping down off the front steps. Simple actions, but each have caused quite a bit of pain. I'm not sure what's going on with it, but it doesn't feel right so trying to run on it doesn't seem like a good idea.
The boys have speech therapy first thing this morning so won't be able to do the morning walk. I'll try to go later in the day, but we're still having hot days (high 80s) so I'm not sure I'll want to go for a super long one.
I hope everyone has a good Wednesday.

I had a great birthday with my son. He know what i like. I got a lot of Nightmares Before Christmas stuff. Went to the movies and out to eat at a home cooking restaurant. The food was good and the movie Conjuring was really good. Had a good nap. Going to watch a movie and then go back to sleep. Night all!

Hello Shape Shifters! Here’s my weekly weigh-in report —
Weigh-in Day: Thursday
PW: 144.3
CW: 144.1SW: 168
Ltd: 23.9My weight fluctuated between 141.4 after a day of rowing and soccer, and a high of 146.2 - likely due to salty foods and too many carbohydrates (including too much chocolate) - this week. So, I was surprised to land close to last week’s weight. It’s a difficult time of year for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Hang in there, everyone! 💕

Yesterday was another good day of eating for me. Calories were within goal. I feel like I'm finally getting into the rhythm and gaining some momentum in the right direction.
I went for a somewhat shorter walk yesterday since we weren't able to go until afternoon and it was a bit hot. My leg is feeling a bit better today, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get back to running soon.
Today, the boys have physical therapy in the afternoon, so we have time in the morning for a long walk.

Hello Shape Shifters. I had a stressful week. Last Thursday Tinus got some issues and we went to the vet. I will spare you the details since it involves number 2 and he had two baths. Thankfully it was an easy thing to fix, so I am not worried about that anymore. He is however getting more painful in the back. I have noticed this for a while now, though it went so slow that I thought I was imagining it at first. Just seemed to misstep more often with his back legs and have bad balance. Now it is pretty noticable to me that he is either weak or painful when he jumps up things or down from things. I have already had low steps/jumps in the house for a long time though, so he doesn't have to navigate anything big. Though even with small jumps he sometimes falls over and he almost never goes upstairs anymore. Because of this and the stress I had, I moved my bed downstairs to the living room on Monday (and I had to drag the walking pad upstairs to make room which was very fun). This might sound crazy to some of you, but I want to be there if he needs me or just wants to cuddle on the bed at night without him having to go upstairs. I replaced my curtains in the living room not too long ago with light blocking ones which I am very glad about now. It gets dark enough downstairs, so sleeping has been totally fine for me.
It sucks to see him get worse, but he has been on the painkiller injection without issues for over two years, so at least the decline has gone slow. He is still very happy, running around and playing, so I don't think he is in pain all the time either. No need to panic just yet! I did get thrown off my routine really badly and I have struggled a lot with leaving the house so there have been a few days with no walk and no gym. I am a little more rational now (lol) and ready to get to work again. Just wanted to share why I have been quiet here. Anyway, here are a few cute pictures from the past week. I finally sat down to puzzle today for the first time in quite a while, and of course Tinus showed up. He gave me 20 minutes alone though, which was more than I expected! Good night everyone 💜

I'm so glad you found the cause of Tinus's issues with the vet's help @Pupowl …and I just love that red harness on him…he's so cute! Sounds like the decisions you've made in setting up the downstairs fit perfectly in what you now need to make both of you comfortable…great news!
Hope you enjoyed puzzle time, once it was Tinus-approved, that is! LOL It's funny how much they control us, right?!
Enjoy your Friday!
Jessica

Weekly Weigh In
Day: Friday

I was hoping to be back in the 140s this weigh in, so I just barely missed the mark. But I'm happy with the progress I made this week with building better habits and making better choices. It feels good to be back on track.
