A productive day so far. Caught another mouse in the live trap under the bathroom sink; drove him to the cemetery to release him. Did my ST workout. Took a morning walk with Rich after breakfast. Made my new recipe (fig and walnut snack balls dipped in 90% dark chocolate). Ran an errand to buy my favorite window cleaning spray (Cinch), available only at Market Basket or so it seems. Took the yard waste to the transfer station. Brought my expired batteries to Staples for recycling. Got the SD card from the game camera and went through all the pictures; saved the good ones. Took a 4 mile walk. Made a roast beef wrap for lunch. Planning to put up Thanksgiving decorations after lunch, and clean/organize the closet where all the holiday decorations live.

Hi,
Not much new here. The kids and DD's BF were over yesterday to celebrate DS's birthday. I made pizzas and DH put them on the grill. DS's favorite cake is a triple chocolate concoction. I sent most of the cake home with the kids. We played games. It was a nice evening!
Today I will work on a few things on my To Do list- the main one being getting winter clothes and shoes into the closet. We are getting a big cold front here in FL and we are expected to have a freeze on Mon/Tues. Maybe I will also have to swap some soup into my menu plan for this week.

Hi all. I had a nice day yesterday, although things ended up differently than planned. I bagged up some too-big clothes for the Goodwill. I met the fellow artist and we got to know each other a little better, which was nice. I worked on a piece for an upcoming show. We didn't go to the beach: we just listened to the audiobook at home. I didn't have lunch, as we were running around. I didn't eat from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, and was starving by the time I had a chance to eat, which was leftover bean soup. Today, we are starting the day by going to the gym. I switched up my plan so I can use the machine that the mean guy uses before he gets into the gym. I don't feel like dealing with him. I am meeting another artist this morning for art time. Should be fun!

@micaroo4 Thanks for the name change advice . If we do end up changing the name, all I’m asking for is an acknowledgement that it will mostly fall on my shoulders, and my Pastor better agree to help me along the way.

Good morning! Well, yesterday’s meeting was fairly lame, since most of the people who aren’t part of our actual leadership team didn't show up, aside from the spouses. But we did talk about the name change, and we will spread the word, and we will hold a vote in December. So, I have time to “influence” my people to vote my way. 😀 We all agree that God’s will is all we really care about, and the vote will help us know the direction we need to go. Today, my sister and I are going to watch the new Downton Abbey movie. I’m excited!! 😀

Hi all. I had a great day yesterday, but it flew by. At the gym, I did not run into the rude man, and I went to "his" machine first and started there. I met up with that other fellow artist and had a great time painting and talking. My husband and I picked up cheeseburgers to go and shared a French fry order. I didn't eat much of the fries, and not all of my burger. We ran some errands and came home, and I made pot roast in the Instant Pot, which turned out well. We ordered a 12-inch ceramic frying pan from Amazon at a good price. We are trying to replace our non-stick stuff. The only bad thing is that ceramic can only go up to 350F.

@trooworld - I'd like to maintain between 120 and 125. That will put me in a normal BMI for my height and age. I currently have a normal BMI of 24.4. However, I want to get in the lower end of my maintenance to prepare for holiday eating and less active days in these colder months.

Saturday was a lot of fun. Going out in the trails in a jeep than it is in a side by side (buggy). I had fun though. I totally blew my whole day, but I got right back on track yesterday (Sunday).

Hi all. To the veterans in the group: thank you for your service. I hope you enjoy your day of honor. I had sort of a bad day yesterday: I was in a melancholy mood all day. I don't know why. I was not in the mood to be at work, but I made it through. Traffic was (thankfully) good, and I got home right before 5 pm. I made chicken and dumplings in the Instant Pot, which came out pretty good although I didn't use enough chicken or biscuits so it was kind of a little soupy. I woke up with a headache and I am still in a melancholy mood. I hope the day gets better.

DISCUSSION QUESTION: If you could only choose one type of workout for the next month, what would it be and why?
My answer: I would choose WEIGHTLIFTING. Weightlifting has so many benefits for older women: increased muscle mass and strength, improved bone density to help prevent osteoporosis, better balance and coordination to reduce fall risk, and a boosted metabolism, improved self-esteem, enhanced joint function, improved cardiovascular health…the list goes on and on! Plus, I feel like a bad @zz when I lift weights lol.

Good morning! I have to do a quick check-in because I need to head out to an appointment and then run up to the church. It's 28 degrees outside and I'm NOT looking forward to going out, but at least it's sunny. Yesterday was so gross and cold, and we even had snow flurries for a few minutes. 😐️ I'm doing absolutely horrible with my eating. I was doing OK yesterday, and then my sister brought home Burger King, which we never eat. I'm going to talk to her about this junk-food diet we are on. I feel like crap and I'm sick of it!! 🙄

DISCUSSION QUESTION: If you could only choose one type of workout for the next month, what would it be and why? I would have to agree with @trooworld and @TeresaW2024 on lifting weights. There are so many benefits and we lose muscle as we age so it is very important. Also, I think I remember reading somewhere that we burn more calories weightlifting because our muscles are working harder.
