At first I was thinking that 5 pounds would be really too light.....well by the 3rd set I wished I took the stupid pink 2 pounds dumbbells

THese are hard and make me want to cry! I'm in stage 5 and yesterday I did the YWTL's with 7.5lbs, but only 4 reps per. I think in stage 3 I did them with 3lbs. I'd have to go back and look at my training log.

Agreed! I started with 5's today but couldn't do it so I had to drop down to my pink 3 pounders! I found the T the hardest to do. I hope I'm doing it right.

    hahahaha! You're so right Yanicka!

One more YTWL for me and my arms didn't start burning until I got to the L last time, so I think I'll drag in my 7# dbs for tomorrow's session. There's no way I'll be able to jump from the 5s to the 10s! But you know, I say that and I haven't even tried. Maybe I'll try...

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one getting my butt kicked by these!!! I thought I would be able to increase my weight on these but I seem to be stuck at 7.5 lbs. 10 lbs seems impossible!

Do you have 8 pounds? Going from 5 to 10 is a pretty huge jump. I don't think I could do it on any of the exercises. I have 8lb DB's plus we have adjustable dumbbells, which are unwieldy, but at least I can go up in 2.5lb increments.

You're so right, 8 lb. dbs are what I have, I don't know why I typed 7! Wishful thinking?

It's so good to see this (even if it's a really old thread!) --- I had the 10 lbs for my first set and could tell my form was so bad (couldn't even fully get my arms into a Y!) so I switched to 5 lbs and they were STILL hard!!!! These make me feel like I'm working muscles that aren't even there! Crazy!
