Entering Workouts at MFP

How do you guys enter your calorie burns here at MFP? I wear a heart rate monitor every time I workout, and I actually adjust it daily for my weight fluctuations (obsessive much? I know). So I know what my real calorie burn is. I have been just adjusting minutes to make the calorie burn accurate here. But now that I have some friends on here I'm sure it's looking funny-for instance if I put in something that I burned 400 calories for and it says 90 minutes, that's a sucky calorie burn. LOL if you know what I mean.
So what do you all do? Is there a way to override and enter your own actual stuff? (I joined here last year but really only started using the site a few weeks ago)

At the bottom after yu try to find an exercise it will ask if you want to manualy put in your own and you click it, and you type in what you want to call it, then you go on down to where it ask the minutes an yur calories and save it. That is what i do.0

When you log your exercise, you can manually change both the minutes and calorie burn to match what your HRM clocks. You can add an exercise to the database by not entering anything in the search box, but click search and it will take you to the page where you can add an exercise. I did that for one combination that I regularly do. Most of the time when I change the minutes exercised, the calorie burn matches, but sometimes I have to change the calorie burn up or down.0

Thank you ladies! I was wondering how people could put in their actual workout, like "Cathe Low Impact Challenge" or whatever. Thank you again for the information!!0

Jill, Just go to the exercise tab, and in that tab you should see My Exercises. In that area to the right type in the exercise name, and then use the tab down for what type it is and your HRM reading. Hope this helps.
