Hahahaha. I was gonna say that!0 -
I like the obvious with my posts, Skyrim, Oblivion, Dragons Age (1st one), but I also had an obsession with Warhawk, liked Fallout, Mass Effects, FF (some of them) Tomb Raiders, God of Wars.0

OMFG Hell yeah, Butters!0 -
*waves* Girl gamer here! I'm pretty eclectic with my game selection. I love RPGs and adventure games, but I also like more casual games like Harvest Moon. I dig platformers. The only games I really don't like to play are scary games (because I have nightmares -- I'm so lame) and first-person shooters, but that's mostly because I just can't play anything in first-person. I guess I don't like war games either, but that's just because I suck at them. I'm always getting blown up.0

I like screaming horrible things at people Ill never meet that shoot me over a game on the interwebs.
I mean...REALLY horrible things.
Also I love fps games, old games, DDR...and am FAR too impatient for RPGs.
Im slightly obsessed with Portal, Fallout, and Wolfenstein.
I love CoD, Bioshock (Infinite cant come fast enough)....I could go on forever.0 -

I game on PC and PS3. Also wii. I'm a fan of RPGs. They only "shooting" type game that I can actually play is the metal Metal Gear series, and that's probably because I overcome my fear for a sweet story line and epic boss fights. Games where things pop out at you scare me. Hence why I can't play shooters, someone will pop outta no where and start blasting me and I'll get all surprised and jump, moving the joystick, which changes the aim of the gun and then suddenly... BOOM. Dead.
I love platform games, mario and other classics. I find racing games dull. I have recently gotten into strategy type games and am enjoying them (heroes, star craft II). I am a big FF lover, but that all ties in with RPGs. I'd probably love the 2 batman games if I had an HD TV to play them on. Same with Bayonetta... could never learn HOW to play the game because I couldnt read the dang screen...0 -
I game on a PC. Love playing games like Battlefield 2 (will get BF3 soon), RPG's (Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls), Left 4 Dead, STALKER series, etc. Definitely an FPS and RPG player the most. I do like stealth games, too, like Thief and the Metal Gear Solid series.
I used to get a laugh in BF2, when I'd kill some immature male and they realized I'm a "girl", they'd be p!ssed! :bigsmile:0 -
i'm a diehard CoD fan...whatever my kids have i've played it at least once (too many to list)0

What is a "girlie gamer" I giggle when I win or beat someone's face in, does that count? Just kidding. I have a ps3, and I'm a fan of MMOs and fighting games. I hate shooters because I can't aim to save my life.0

Girlie Gamers = Girls who are hardcore gamers..... Lol and yea I tried to come up with a catchy title0 -
I'm not big on console games... Probably because I am lazy. But I play World of Warcraft pretty much everyday for an hour or two. I also LOVE the Heroes of Might and Magic series. And I played EQ 1 when I was 12. LOL! I also played the SNES games until 1 in the morning with my parents. We were epic.0

This is one of my favorite parts about being a girl gamer. had it happen all the time in Halo 2 since I was the only girl in our group and still have it happen all the time in COD, BF3 anything really. I laugh every time!! Who says girls can't be good at video games?!?0 -

I used to get, "OMG you actually ARE a GIRL!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! :noway: " when people on LotRO would first hear me talk on Vent. I got many a laugh from that.0

It's always fun to shock the boys. They just can't comprehend that girls are better than they are sometimes! Poor little boys!0

I'm pretty much a hardcore MMORPGer at heart. Played EQ1 in college (guess how low my GPA went ... oh yeah, I totally went against stereotype there *snicker*), then quit and tried to grow out of it, but got sucked into the WoW insanity right before Burning Crusade came out (coincided with a divorce ... hmmmmm. At least I didn't turn to drink, eh?)
Played WoW for a while and raided with a casual hardcore raiding guild for a bit (my priestess got her T5 angel wings, and I was happy as a clam after that ... I was REALLY sad my guildies made me swap it out for the T6 shoulders). Then I quit that addiction (WotLK had been announced, but not released) just in time to be laid off from work (gogo Great Recession). Went back to school to earn my MBA, found another job, and I'm pretty much weaned off of MMOs at this point. Like Sidesteal, I reactivated D2 (okay, try BOUGHT for the FOURTH time because I kept losing my game CDs ... new B.net and Steam is going to save my wallet) because I heard D3 went into beta and thought it'd be coming out soon. HAHAHA gullible me. If y'all haven't heard, it's been delayed AGAIN. No release date still.
On the console side, we currently own a PS3 and Xbox 360. Have played the Wii, but didn't like it. I love the PS3 for the quality of games that used to be designed for it ("Shadows of the Colossus" is still one of my all-time favorites, and I have a special fondness for FFVII), but the Xbox stole my heart with "Halo" (and I'm not even generally a fan of FPS). I'm a sucker for a great musical score, I guess. But I don't play on a console much these days.
I bought Skyrim (for the PC) over the weekend and have been dabbling in that, but the single player games don't suck me in as much. But it's a nice diversion for rough work days when I just need to unwind.0 -
If someone assumes that I'm a guy on WoW, I don't correct them because I don't want them to be all like "what?! you're a girl?!!" and make a big deal about it. Had a creeper on WoW that would stalk me on there and comment on how hot it my arrow shooting was....0_o0

I am a "girlie" gamer.
I have a story to tell...
One night me and my hubby were playing Halo 3 on Live. So we're waiting in the lobby for the game to start and you can hear all these morons with big mouths talking crap to each other. This one dude started making fun of my screen name by saying, "Madamenapalm? (He couldn't even say madame right.) Is that a girl name? Whatever, all girls that play video games are ugly anyway." And my reply was, "Really? 'Cause I'm sitting here right next to my MAN and HE doesn't think I'm ugly. I bet you don't even have a girlfriend." And with the most pathetic, defensive voice you could imagine he replied, "Yeah, I DO!!!!" Then in the most sinister, sexy voice I could muster I said, "But she isn't playing Halo with you is she????"
BURRRRRNNNN!!!!! Everyone was laughing. It was totally awesome.0 -
I played COD for a little while last night. I was actually doing really well for me, which was a shocker, but I went with it. Almost one of those times where you don't want to stop for fear you won't get that "feeling back".
You get the girl comments more on LIVE than you do on the PC from what I've noticed. I don't make it known that I'm a girl, but when you need to set someone straight it's always fun. Then you get to hear them get teased by their friends. Seems more acceptable now to be a girl gamer though.
I think my favorite moment was waiting in line at the Midnight Launch of Halo 2. I got a lot of those, cool your a girl. And a couple, ahh you're waiting in line for your bf. Pffft no I'm waiting in line for ME!0 -
I hardly ever get on my headset on xboxlive anymore. The comments...oh god.
Not to mention I get really monotone when I play, so I get asked whether Im a woman or a young boy, hahaha0 -

I've had long conversations about whether my avatar is accurate to my weight, whether Im single, how old I am, etc.
One time a 17 year old boy wouldnt leave me alone cuz I said I was drinking Stella Artois and for some reason he thought good taste in beer was incredibly hot. *shakes head*0
