    no no no no no!! that'd be awful, because 1) he's american, and 2) i just don't like him :P especially not as the doctor. However, i wouldn't mind seeing Mr. Benedict Cumberbatch go timelord.

    Hugh Laurie, though he's getting a little old for it.

    I've never watched House or anything, but from what I know I don't think he'd be bad at all! And he definitely wouldn't be too old. The Doctor can be any age, and he's been older before I think. I would actually kindof like an older Doctor. It'd be something different, and then all his companions wouldn't keep falling in love with him.

    Also, speaking of old guys, wouldn't **** Van *kitten* be awesome? I know he's American and it wouldn't work, but hypothetically, in my head, it'd be the best thing ever.
