Good Morning Sistas. Newbie here! Question: What exercises have worked best for you lower Abs? I'm not in a Gym, I work out at home using Videos and home equipment. I have found it very easy to lose my Upper Abs but that dreaded pooch is just hanging there. Any suggestions? :frown:

The first thing would be to lay down and lift your legs up to a 90 degree angle, then down (try to have them not touching the floor).

I like to do bicycle crunches because I hate doing abs so I can work many areas at the same time with this one (upper, lower and obliques). You can find a video here to do them : http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-Do-the-Bicycle-Crunch-Exercise-230509860

Also, if you do basic crunches with the legs up, it will work your lower abs.

    Good luck!

Reverse crunches are good for the lower abs. You lift legs up and raise your hips off the ground and for double ab work you can do ait crunch while lifting hips up. Hope that helps.
  • Thanks so much Sistas I will try both methods. Enjoy your Day.

I too workout mostly with DVDs. I downloaded an app yesterday called the daily AB workout. Serious business!! Try it out 5, 7.5 or 10 mins. I'm gonna build up :o)

Also I was doing a Kathy Smith lift weights to lose weight DVD where she had us put our knees at a 45 degree angle rather than 90. I felt it!!
