This is a noodle/pasta that is made from a vegetable and literally has only about 8 calories per 125gram serve and less than a gram of carbohydrate in it!
I tried it for the first time (pasta slim angel hair noodles) with a chicken stir fry and it was just like egg noodles, absorbed the flavour really well.

I am looking for recipes for this new discovery - any pasta or noodle recipe that has worked for you would be great to see

    Hey there,

We eat this at least once per week now. Check the American "Miracle Noodle" website below as you can download a 45 page recipe booklet for more ideas:

    http://www.miraclenoodle.com/t-recipes_preparation.aspx

Facebook also has a SlimPasta Recipe page so check that our.

Tonight we're having it under fish (I'm having salmon with the skin on) and a sauce made of skim carnation milk, broccoli, snow peas, bean sprouts, zucchini. onion and a little garlic. Delish!

    Enjoy!!:drinker:

I am going to pick up a few packs of the shirataki noodles tonight. I can't help but to be a little skeptical. Any first recipe recommendations?

I don't blame you, I haven't tried any recipes other than my boyfriends chicken stir fry, which is basically chicken thigh pieces + vegetables like carrot/bok choy/broccoli/onion etc. and some soy sauce a dash of honey and some garlic.. but obviously it's up to your taste as to what sauce you mix in :)

Grab the angel hair noodle variety, I think you boil it for about a minute and then you can stir into the stir fry after it's cooked, I found the slim pasta to be a little bit hard to separate so you might want to cut it a little bit to help spread it out.

Then enjoy! I actually find them pretty nice when mixed into the stir fry, they taste the same as other noodles to me!
